It’s worth the long and windy way to get here. View is lovely even in the rain.:) The crew is always great, the spread is always good. If you are a Pinot lover this is the place for you:) In the summer and early fall they have hay rides — the kids love it! We were surprised how crowded the place was, but the wine kept pouring and so we stayed!

Oh, Illahe. I have to give Illahe mad props. They’re making wine from a barn right now because their winery is in construction — it’s going to be a magnificent architectural wonder — and the wine is fabulous, the people are awesome, and the location is beautiful. All of the pinot noirs we tasted from the barrels were a delight. I can’t wait to try them once they’re bottled. But again, lucky me, I’ve got a bottle of Illahe’s pinot in my house! Wooo! I’ll definitely return to Dallas to check out the winery in its completion.
