I thought this was a nice place because the model unit we were shown looked pretty nice and had upgraded fixtures and appliances but come to find out, this is a section 8 property. Basically a nice projects. I was paying full apartment price to live in the hood but since I’m not from this area, I didn’t realize it was the hood. This is what everyone told me when I told them where I lived.(«Oh you live in the hood») I had constant maintenance issues that would take very long to get fixed and would require me calling and reporting the same issues several times. The air conditioning never worked properly. It would be set to 72 degrees but at would only be able to cool the apt down to 80+ degrees in the summer and 74 in the fall and the AC ran constantly…24/7! There was mold inside the air vents. Water leaked from the upstairs restroom down the wall of the downstairs restroom when the water got too high in the tub and that has never been fixed. I reported a broken window that was broken from the outside 2 months before we moved and that was never fixed. The electrical outlets were cheap and would not hold whatever you plugged in it in place. I had to rig up tape to my electrical cords to keep them in place. The light fixture in the master bedroom that is connected to the ceiling fan went out at least 2 months before I moved out and that was never fixed. Safety was a constant concern. Drug dealers had constant traffic of an obvious nature. People«hanging out» all over the apartment parking lots constantly. Shooting, robberies, etc. I didn’t feel safe letting my children play outside without my supervision. Takeout restaurants would refuse to deliver there. They offer a free child care program which is a main reason why we moved there but come to find out, it is an outreach program by a church for«at risk» youth. We just wanted to save some money to pay for our wedding so we found this to be a good deal since child care is very expensive but, I would rather be broke and have my children in a safe area than to live in this dump. The grounds were not kept up very well at all. No good landscaping except at the front of the office area that could be seen from the street. The front portion of the apartments looks pretty nice but, the further to the back you get, it looks like a complete dump. Garbage was constantly around the dumpsters which there are only three dumpsters for the whole complex which is very large. I would have to load up my trash in the trunk of my car and drive it to the dumpsters. In the horrible year of living there, they have gone through several maintenance workers because they get tired of the management and tired of dealing with the residents. I URGEYOU… STAYAWAYATALLCOSTS!

This is my first time reviewing an apartment community-it is my 7th apartment home. I wish I would have actually took heed to all of the bad reviews for this place-it is the WORST living situation I have ever been in. Unsafe– they claim to have all these security measures put in place, but honestly you wouldn’t need them if they weren’t necessary. The«24 hour camera surveillance» is complete bs, the guard told me himself nobody watches the footage. The gates never work. I’ve witnessed drug transactions, robbery, and violence in the ONE month that I have been there. Unsanitary-Roach City! Pest control is lazy. These roaches are like super-mutant roaches. They are immune to EVERY type of treatment known to man. And they are everywhere. I had to remove EVERYTHING from my kitchen, it should have caution tape across the entryway-I am terrified to go in there. However, they are everywhere, in every room of my apartment. Poor construction-they«renovated» most units. Which adds a nice look, but don’t be fooled by the appearance like I was. These apartments are olé, and need serious work, the upgrades are merely a band-aid for all the foundation problems. Doors aren’t sealed, windows are single pane cheap glass, woodwork is terrible. Office staff-while they are sweet, the women in the office are overworked and the office lacks the manpower to take care of all of the issues. Try calling the office at anytime of day, you won’t get an answer. You can even go to the office, you’ll be waiting an hour just to speak with someone. Its frustrating for both parties, but they don’t seem to care that they can’t handle all of the issues with the complex. Someone’s apartment caught on fire a couple weeks ago, the leasing office didn’t even know it had happened until a few days later. You cannot pay rent online, nor do they have a dropbox. You have to bring your check in during office hours-the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. You basically have to take time from work or pay it way in advance. Overall-I am a prisoner in my own apartment. The day after I moved in, I tried to get out of my lease, they wouldn’t let me, which I understand, they have that right. But they were super aware and agreed that I should leave, even gave me suggestions on where to move to, which was weird. Why couldn’t they tell me this BEFORE I moved in??? I ultimately put in my 60 day notice to break lease right after I moved in. I have 30 days left, and I cannot wait to get out of that dump.
