The wait staff is funny. We were called«wasteful», yet it didn’t bother us. One of them kept trying to feed me and push the bulgogi sauce down my throat(figuratively not literally). We’ve visited this place a few times now and always get the pa jun(Korean pancake). It’s very tasty. Very tasty and very expensive for what it is. Seriously you can get four of them at H Mart for a third of the cost. We still get it though. We ordered the pork belly and pork bulgogi. They forgot to give us our rice so we had to ask for that. We got all our sides and I love the fish cakes. I asked for a refill, which they complied, but my third fill of it, they didn’t seem so happy. Give me my fish cakes! I did get them and ate them all happily. The waitress asked if we ate any of the other sides and when we said no, she called us wasteful and said next time just ask for fish cake. I didn’t know that was an option. Definitely will do that next time though. The pork belly and pork bulgogi were good, not as much marinade as I remember though. The pork bulgogi also had a bit of fat on it too. So you know that peanut oil mixture sauce they give you for dipping the bulgogi in? Well I don’t like that sauce. It’s too oily and too strong of a peanut taste for me. I had pushed it off to the side and the waitress came and pushed it back saying it’s the sauce for the bulgogi. I just smiled politely and left it alone. After she left I pushed it away again, but just a few inches. A few minutes later she came back and pushed it closer to me. I just went along with it. When she came back around to stir our BBQ, she went ahead and placed a piece of the pork belly into the sauce. She asked me «you don’t like it»? I told her I liked it. Well I lied. I hate pork belly and I hated that sauce, but because she already called us wasteful, I felt like I had to eat it. So I ate it. It’s been six hours and I still taste peanut oil. I have regrets.

Excellent food and service. Seafood Pajun is fantastic! I enjoyed the nice quiet atmosphere and the amount of privacy between tables. I have taken several friends and family here and they absolutely loved it.

Really? The owner came out to tell me I couldn’t park in front as it was for other guests. Might have good food. I will never know.

Trendy location with seafood at its best — the composition of local oysters was exceptional. Local wines to go with it is absolutely worthwhile. Because we had not reserved we got seated at the bar — a great place to experience the professionalism of the multi-tasking barkeepers who not only supplied drinks/cocktails to all visitors in the restaurant, they also served the food of everyone eating at the bar and they took the time for sharing interesting information about Dallas and everyday life. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will come back!!!

What a great experience it’s been about 13 years since my first visit. I was young and had no clue about great food I just knew I always wanted to come back. Finally did yesterday and I must report that it had a great ambiance and staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. We got the beef bulgogi, sushi, miso soup and everything was amazing, my friends loved it as well. We made our bulgogi into lettuce wraps and such a wonderful tasty explosion. Give it a try, you know you want to! I advise you to go with an appetite because you don’t want miss anything. Bulgogi is cooked in your table and minimum order of two so enough for four people. Enjoy!

Meh, this place is good, not great. Decent service. My husband and I went here for dinner on Sunday night. We thought it was way overpriced. We got the beef bulgogi and the pork ribs. Both were good and all the condiments were good but each dish was almost 20 bucks per. Too much for standard Korean bbq in my opinion.

I miss Los Angeles for the Korean BBQ over there but this place made me feel right at home. The meats all looked similar but each kind tasted so different from each other. They were so flavorful. The customer service was excellent and it actually felt like family. They were very friendly and hospitable.

What a nice and calm korean spot. My boyfriend and I went for korean food after church. Instead of hitting up our usual, we decided to opt for something else, Korea house. It was very nice to have lunch here. It wasn’t loud as some Korean spots and had great service. I ordered the galbi tang, which is the beef soup. Good stuff!

I’ve been coming here for about 12years… It’s such a regular choice that I don’t think of posting just because I’m just to busy eating then leaving the place without any hesitation to take a photo or remembering to post… I’m always so full. Lol and so happily content with my Korean crave!!! Galbi and Spicy pork bentos r my go tos… The sushi selection is also great. I always get the 911 pretty spicy so be careful for those with sensitive pallets. Always fresh Kimchi and sides!!! This place keeps Korean food real! Thank you Korea House for still being here, hope you’re always around and also for the great service.

Service was just HORRIBLE! People standing around as i looked around looking for some good service. The food was nothing great. It did not quite have that Korean flare that i have grown to love. I’d rather go to other Korean bbqs elsewhere. I have found one in Carrolton that I have come to love and then there is one in Plano that has made an impression on me.

Have been craving korean food ever since we went to Koryo Kalbi next door practically. We tried going there but there was a 45mins wait. Where as Korea House had zero wait. When we got in, it was not busy at all. A lot of empty tables around. We were seated towards the back since we had a little baby with us and a large table. The waitress was okay… She got us our drinks and all. But when we ordered and requested that the short ribs are cooked at the table and not in the kitchen, she kept saying stuff like she didn’t want to do it. And almost insistent that we order the one cooked in the kitchen. We insisted that we wanted to have it cooked at the table and that we were ordering 2 plates of the short ribs. So she couldn’t refuse, but didn’t look happy that she had to do extra work. The meat(Kalbi short ribs and bulgogi) that we got to grill at the table was not as good as Koryo Kalbi. The seasoning of the meat was not as flavorful. But here we did get a bigger portion of the Kalbi short ribs. the kimchi sides were good but not very different. The eel teriyaki dish was VERY expensive — $ 30. I don’t think it is as expensive next door. Same quality and quantity. Overall, we left there very full and cravings satisfied. I would go back to Koryo Kalbi where the atmosphere is more buzzing and now I can compare the two a little better. But if they have a long wait, then I definitely don’t mind coming back to Korea House.

Korea House seems to be more geared towards serving mainstream Korean food, but their dishes are decent. They are well known for their bento boxes and bibimbaps. I was feeling a little under the weather and ordered the Galbi Tang(Beef short ribs with noodles). I think the english translation was a little misleading. Perhaps the soup is meant to barely have any noodles, but when I received the soup all the noodles in the bowl could fit on one spoon and that wasn’t what I was hoping for. Other than that, the dish was decent. There were large chunks of scrambled eggs and beef. I did enjoy the kalbi and bulgogi my friends ordered, but I believe I’ve had fresher and more tender dishes at Koryo Kalbi or Seoul Garden which are both next door. Side dishes are very important to me when I go to Korean restaurants. Their Kimchi was alright, nothing very special and definitely not on the better end. Other side dishes: sweet potatoes, broccoli, fish cakes, chopped white carrot, a type of slaw almost with imitation crab, seaweed. I might opt for Seoul Garden next time for the same prices but better food experience.

While in the mood for Korean food, we decided to opt out of visiting Seoul Garden and try out Korea House. Having not been here for quite some time, we’d forgotten how it stacked up against the other nearby restaurants. Our group was small, and our selection was simple, but their food definitely stood its ground, though the experience left a bit to be desired. What’s interesting about this place is that Korean BBQ dishes cost $ 1 extra if you want to cook it yourself(so it’s actually cheaper from their own kitchen). We ended up eating a spicy pork bulgogi and beef galbi(we ordered a different beef dish but they messed up both and we didn’t feel like sending both back). The beef galbi was slightly below average. Still delicious, but not as moist as it could be and a little too tender. The spicy pork bulgogi on the other hand was some of the best I’ve had. It was spicy enough to have a kick to it but still had plenty of flavor. The meat was juicy and tender and everything you’d want out of bulgogi. It was a great experience, and I’m sure if we’d ended up with the right dishes the night might’ve gone a little smoother, but it didn’t completely ruin the night.

Korea House is a Korean restaurant along Dallas’s K-town\Royal Lane are. It’s in a «house» with multiple dining areas depending on the group size. You can expect to get a traditional Korean BBQ meal here. My Overall Rating — 2 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — Korea House is unique as upon entering the main entrance, you walk into a waiting/seating area. You’ll find photos of sample dishes(Korean & Sushi) and assorted Asian décor. There’s a main dining area on the left meant for what seems as groups of 4 or smaller. Our large family group was led down a hallway to another room with long tables meant from group dining. There’s a strong aroma of Korean BBQ(it sticks to your clothes), and in all honesty there wasn’t much ventilation in the room nor was it the cleanest. In hindsight I think I would have preferred to sit in the other dining area. ½ Star. Service — Our server was nice, but it took a while to get started. Once seated, we weren’t sure who are server was and had to wait. Once we identified our server, things were just ok. Our order was taken & drinks refilled, but the visits to our group seemed to take a long time. Otherwise no other negative issues. So the extremely awkward seating & wait time between seeing our server resulted in the service was decent. ½ Star. Food — We ordered a mix of dishes, the highlights being kalbi, bugolgi, chop chae, mackerel, & tofu soup. My favorite dishes were the bugolgi & tofu soup. The bugolgi was tender and the grilled onions sweet. The tofu soup was hot and spicy and was perfect with the Korean rice. The chop chae was a bit oily & the kalbi a bit tough. Honestly I enjoyed the tofu soup and bugolgi the most. Side dishes were the standard assortment of kim chi, pickled vegetables, and were a good balance vs. all the protein. Over all a decent meal, but when you’re in the middle of K-Town you have to be great. 1 Star. Will I Return? — No. I don’t necessarily think Korea House is bad, I just think there better options in the area. It’s a restaurant has an interesting layout, but better food & service are required for me to return. No Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.

I haven’t been here in about 3 years or so and I can see the difference. It was really bad quality food and sides back then but the food has improved as well as the service. We were greeted upon entering. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We ordered the soon dubu($ 8.99) and the bulgogi chicken bento($ 8.99). Both were good and well portioned for the prices. The sides were good as well. The place is large and well maintained. The building is older and shows signs but it’s not run down or offensive. Overall, I would reocmmend this place again.

Pretty solid Korean food. Prices are reasonable and their lunch specials are pretty darn good. I ordered the Galbi bento box. Most places, the bento box portions are rather small and by the end of it, you wish you bought two of them. Not so much here. I got a fairly good portion of Galbi and all the other stuff that comes with the bento box. I was pretty satisified with the portions they provided and didn’t leave the place feeling like I wanted another meal. The service was good, wait staff is attentive and friendly. You may come out of there smelling like Korean BBQ, but hey, that’s just one of those trade offs you have to make for yummy food. I need to come back for the full on «cook your own meat» experience and see how that goes. I guess if the food is terrible, I can only blame myself however…

So my BF suggested to check this place out after we left Sun & moon restaurant(they didn’t have menu like on Unilocal,so we left). Since 1979, must be good. So after looking the menu, I saw a hand written menu on the table«Yong Dong bob-sang». The lady said its a smaller portion but it comes with spicy pork, soy bean soup, steam egg, Gae-jang(raw crab), fish for $ 29.99 I asked if I can change the soup to like kimchi soup or tofu soup, extra $ 5. Well, I didn’t take that since I was ordering $ 29.99 for myself. Hey I like to have my option & veracity dishes to chose. My man tried spicy bulgog

I come to Korea House at least twice a week for their lunch specials and I have never been disappointed. I usually come for their Hwe Dhop Bap(Sashimi Rice Don) and you really can’t beat the freshness of their fish cuts for only $ 10. It comes with lots of delicious and traditional korean side dishes along with some miso soup. The other great part about this restaurant is their customer service. They’ve started to notice me coming in a lot for my lunch break and always welcome me with a smile and you can sense that they truly do care about their customers. If you’re scared to try new foods and aren’t really familiar Koran food, this would be a good place to start.

My boyfriend was feeling under the weather so we decided to get some soup at Korea House! It was my first time there and when I walked in I thought it was so cute with the sushi bar. The waitress recommended some soups for us, one with the tofu and seafood and the other with tripe and beef. We also ordered marinated beef ribs. The waitress brought us a salad with ginger dressing which I devoured. Then they served us plate of ribs which was huge! It was a full stack of ribs served with onions. It was delicious and I could barely finish one and had to cut them with a fork and knife! I prefer the tofu soup to the other one which was all broth and I don’t care for tripe although the beef was tender. This was the first Korean restaurant I’ve tried in Dallas that didn’t offer a buffet and I would definitely come back for more!
