Local Press + Brew

The first word that comes to mind is chill. Local Press is the place to chill.
It’s a small shop on Beckley near the Kessler Park area. I had to walk around the side before going into check out the outdoor seating; it is truly perfect for the spring season or summer before the 100 degree temp arrives. There’s a window for service out on the patio or you can walk inside. The interior is so clean and simple.
I tried the #14 day after juice which was really surprisingly good.
They have different toasts if you want a quick bite or you can indulge in baked goodies from Rush Patisserie or Reverie Bakery (vegan). I tasted the vegan orange cranberry muffin and it was perfect. The butter and almond croissants from Rush, words can’t express how good they are!
I can see locals visiting often for coffee. I might that on my next visit.

What a cute little shop! Now only if this was my past life and I could sit here all day and pretend to study — (Real full time job these days for the fail).
The thing I enjoyed most was getting a juice flight. More juice shops should offer this, so that the selection of juice is easier. I mean, how can you reallly be sure you’ll like the juice — same ingredients, but def tastes different at each place.
Hoping to make it back one day to try the other side of the shop — coffee.

This was a lovely place to stop by at. The employees were very friendly and helped us right away! I loved that it’s split so you could go to either side but I chose the juice side to try out and it was very good! The only con about this place is that it’s very small and hidden… we got lost trying to find it but we did and it was worth it.

There are a lot of things I look for in a coffee shop. Here are a few things:
Good seating — nope. Just a few counter seats and outdoor seating
Appealing environment — yes, clean and modern look
Good coffee — It was average, I can do a pour over at home
Friendly staff — They seem friendly
They do also have a juice part of the shop that serves a variety of juice mixes ($ 6−10ish).
I think it’s would be a nice place to stop by to get coffee if it’s nice outside and you’re not a home coffee person. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here as there are many options in the area.

Awesome juice bar, espressos, and kombucha.
I am really not a huge fan even of most of this stuff usually, but this place is an A+. Get a Juice Flight and try 8 of their 100% raw, organic products.
Awesome place, and make sure to ask for a sample of their in house almond milk. It’ll change your mind completely.

So this place isn’t where you come if you’re rushing out the door to get a coffee. It’s a simple paced spot that provides juices and artisanally prepped coffee. The setup is super simple and they have a couple foods to munch on as well. When I have time, it’s my spot to go to. Not to mention, when the weather is sunny, the place shines and the indoor/​outdoor space is very inviting. Stop in if you want a drink and somewhere to just tune out the noise for a little.

DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE. I am not one to write bad reviews, but the girls that work at this place have me in shock.
My friend ordered a pour over coffee, and politely asked when it would be ready about 10 minutes after he ordered. The girls started talking about him while he was still walking away and our whole group was sitting about ten feet away from them. They said «does he think it works like a microwave?» «He thinks it’s some hot pocket that will be done in 30 seconds.»
I will never, ever give this place my business again with the immaturity I experienced today.

I really loved this spot! Modern, clean vibe. Gorgeous outdoor seating. A very clean, beautiful place. The baristos (that’s what I call male baristas) were super friendly and personable.
I had the homemade almond milk latté, was DELiSH! Hubster had the shaken Chai almond milk latté (it’s cold) and the spices are so tasty.
Will def be back when in the area, we were very pleased.

I was in town from LA for work. This place totally reminds me of home! It was hip, and the décor was simplistic. Pressed juice and cold brewed coffee is what makes up LA!
Anyways, I got the number 04 juice which had apples, kale, lemon, ginger. Normally it’s $ 9 a bottle, but since that juice was expiring the same day, it was 50% off. I didn’t mind since I was going to finish the juice that same day anyways.
I sat outside in the patio. Wood picnic tables, bark, strung lights. It’s a very hip place. Love it!

I’ve passed this location a few times, and being a coffee maniac I had to eventually stop by and see what was up. Like the name says, you can get your coffee fix as well as juice. When you enter, the juice bar is on the right and the coffee counter is on the left… so left I went.
There is very limited seating on the inside, but we went at a off-​hour, so the corner with the bench was clear. I ordered a latte with almond milk. I guess based on other reviews, they make their own milk? It was very rich and creamy… almost too thick. The flavor was good. I hate that I didn’t try something like a drip or Americano first. There was really no interaction between us and the «barista», so I couldn’t really get a feel on what I should try or what I may enjoy. I just ordered a latte for some reason. Oh well.
I might be back, I might not. Don’t get me wrong, the coffee was good so you should definitely try it, but it wasn’t really memorable or the experience wasn’t really that great for me to be planning a return trip.

What: nitro cold-​brew, cucumber basil kombucha on tap (~$ 10 inc. tip)
Why: Best kombucha on tap that I’ve ever had. Really enjoyed the cold brew on nitro too. The quality of the products and the elegant space make this place a nice quick stop. The space is very limited though due to two separate counters for coffee and juice. Aside from the lack of space, my only pet peeve is the $ 9 cold press juice flight, which is totally ridiculous.

I was driving to Bishop Arts when I passed this place on the way and thought I just HAD to stop by after. You can’t find this place on Google maps but just map it off of Unilocal.This place is split into 2 different bars: one for juices and one for coffee. I had just come back from a road trip so I was in dire need of coffee. There’s not too much on the menu but the one that stood out to me was the nut shaken latte. Essentially, it’s a shaken iced latte that can be either with cacao milk or with some chai milk, both made in house. My boyfriend and I decided to get both. Yeah, $ 6 is really steep for some iced coffee, but I was really impressed with them. The cacao was both of our favorites, but the chai one was also really good. I’m not even a fan of chai anything normally, and although the chai latte was a bit gritty, I did enjoy it a lot. The shaken lattes are definitely worth trying if you’re wanting something a bit different!
I didn’t try any of the juices but $ 9 for a juice? I thought $ 6 or $ 7 was already too much to ask for. I’m down to try the juice flight one day though!

My favorite place to get away. Get all the nutrients and benefits you need in a bottle. They have a complete espresso menu as well. Most coffee shops have so many distractions to where you can’t get anything done. It’s very peaceful and radiant. And the entire staff is so nice. This place is just so damn cute! And I love how they keep a focus on local suppliers and small businesses in Dallas.

With all the new craze about «juicing» I’m glad I was able to find a location in Dallas that offers a juice flight. Now what exactly is a ‘juice flight” you ask? Well it’s a sampler of 8 choices of any of the juices at Local Press + Brew. They hand you a sheet with a list of all their juices and what it contains and select 8 that you’d like to try. Honestly would I pay $ 9 for a full bottle of any of the juices? Probably not. However the juice flight is pretty fun, $ 9 for a sample of 8 of their juices is a pretty fair price in my opinion plus the décor is nice and super cool.
They only have a few seats avalible inside the shop, but they do have a pretty nice patio outside, so don’t forget to check that out!

DELICIOUS + HIGH QUALITY
Their nut milks, lattes and and juices are all tasty and healthy options! My favorites are #9 Cocoa Nut Milk and the Ginger Lime juice (not sure if that’s the name). I don’t have to think twice about what’s in my drink when I order. It’s quite freeing. This seems to be a specialized coffee and juice bar targeted to a group of people who have a certain (active or clean eating) lifestyle and therefore different tastes/​expectations than other people may appreciate/​desire. This is not a place with refined sugar and artificial ingredients and whip cream on top. It is clean and naturally delicious.
I am a small business owner so I understand pricing. Especially when your product is crafted in small, high quality batches. It just cost more (for the owner and the client) and that’s a reality you can’t change or you compromise your product and purpose.
So, yes prices may be high but it’s worth the splurge to enjoy their coffee + juices, people and atmosphere. Enjoy it when you can! Everything about this place is refreshing!

I’m not much of a juice enthusiast mostly because I forcefully make my own at home every morning for breakfast so I don’t feel the need to spend more than I need to on this. With that being said, I came for the coffee.
I appreciate the small parking lot which makes getting in and out of here a breeze. The seating area inside is limited but the aesthetics in here are great. As you walk in the coffee bar is to the left and the juice bar is to the right. I ordered an iced latte with cacao milk totaling about $ 6. I’m not too much of a fan as the cacao milk seems to have a powdery after taste and the latte itself has no coffee taste.
The customer service here is amazingly sweet and fast. They have outdoor patio seating with a walk up window to order from the coffee bar. Overall, the décor is as beautiful as everyone says it is but the coffee just didn’t do it for me.

Don’t let the pretty deco fool you. It’s a cute place with a juice bar on inside and coffee bar on the other. The location’s a little hard to find. We couldn’t find the address on google maps, so that was a little frustrating.
Both coffee and juice items were expensive. I had the OC. It’s good but not impressive. It was just expensive for what it is. One of my friends had the almond latte. And he thinks he might’ve been allergic to something in it because his throat was itchy immediately after. Friend said he’s not allergic to any of the ingredients listed, so not really sure if there was a «secret ingredient» not listed, etc.

Loved the charm of this place. Décor and vibe was on point.
But that’s not what we’re here for. Coffee; I tried both a latte and the frozen almond chai latte. The latte was excellent. The almond one was good also. The coffee is sourced from a local Dallas roaster in south Dallas.
Good customer service.
I did not try the juices to have an opinion on them.

Before I start this review, I have to say it’s pretty laughable that someone accused this juice and coffee bar of stealing another company’s branding concept. Simply Pinterest coffee shops, and you will see that minimal black and white designs are a big trend right now in logos, buildings and interior design. It’s literally everywhere. LOL
That being said, I adore this place. They are but a 9 minute walk from my place and I’ve visited 4 times since they’ve been open. Everyone I have encountered was friendly, and the juices and coffees I have purchased were great quality and delicious. I work in the service industry so I appreciate good service when I get it. The space and atmosphere is clean and minimal but inviting and interesting at the same time. Their house made nut milks that they make their coffees with taste exquisite and decadent and turn a normal latte into a real treat. The prices are not that high when you compare them with other juice bars, and they are pretty standard. They also use glass milk bottles and encourage you to bring them back to reuse and donate to charity when you do. It gets better, they carry delicious vegan pastries from Reverie Bakery in Richardson, often having gluten-​free options, too! If you are in town, definitely support this new small business! It’s worth it all around.

My girlfriend has family in LA so we go there a lot to visit. Coming here was like stepping into LA. Why do you ask? Because the owners here seem to have copied and stolen EVERYTHING from the design of the store, how the wood is cut, the menus, the juice, signs, fridge layout, iPad stands, the bottles, the labels, the branding, even the cleanse boxes all from our favorite juice bar in LA called Juice Served Here. It is an EXACT rip off and knock off of them completely.
Both the juices we got did not taste that good at all and my girlfriend and her friends coffee drinks were pretty bad. Not only did they steal their entire concept from Juice Served Here in LA but they can’t even execute their stolen little juice bar properly. Not to mention the prices, they are very expensive here and won’t last in oak cliff. There is so many far far better juice bars in dallas who don’t steal their entire business from someone else that have ethics like our fav the gem, juice supply, or boom juice go support them instead they all deserve your business unlike these thieves.
Won’t be back and hope they close soon, thats is if they aren’t sued by Juice Served Here first!
