I’ve used this company twice and both times I was absolutely pleased. The first time I called MDE out to repair a leak and it was corrected for little more than $ 500. I was struck by the fact that he could’ve been told me the repairs would be far more than that amount because 1) I wasn’t getting on the roof to check; and, 2) I was desperate to have it corrected before serious problems resulted. Next, I called the company out to get a second opinion. We were selling our home and the buyers’ roofer claimed our roof was a near total loss and they wanted us to make an insurance claim and have their roofer present to convince the adjuster it was a total loss. It sounded VERY shady. I called MDE to come out and give me an opinion on the roof. MDE determined that the roof had normal wear and tear typical of a 10 year old roof. He recommended repairs that cost roughly $ 1,500 which was far from a total loss and didn’t come close to a $ 5,000 deductible had we made an insurance claim. I would NEVER use a roofer that knocked on my door looking to file an insurance claim. This company doesn’t chase storms. I would highly recommend this company for your roofing work.

We used Mark Daniel Exteriors on our remodel in Preston Hollow. While they are nice guys and worked on Saturdays, I would not recommend them for the following reasons: 1. Stucco work was sloppy They didn’t cover the window trim, so white stucco splattered on our newly painted window trim. They also stuccoed around the doorbell and left it to dry crooked — so now we have a noticeably crooked doorbell. Not sure if they will fix that. We called several times about it, but they have yet to send someone out to fix it. 2. Roof flashing on new addition was not straight The metal flashing that they added along the roofline of our new addition appears bent throughout instead of smooth and straight. We ended up having to hire another contractor to remove the flashing installed by Mark Daniel Exteriors. Additional cost that we incurred since their flashing work was sub-par. 3. The team they had working on our house was careless They broke our booster pump hosing for our pool, so we had to get a new one installed. They also broke the glass window on our slide door as they were taking down the scaffolding. Lastly, they left their used containers on our roof — and while we’ve asked them several times to remove them, they are still up there. Remodeling a house never goes perfectly, and we realize that. But we had several issues while Mark Daniel Exteriors, so unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend them to others. It has been a bad experience overall.
