I have to agree with other reviewers about on rotation, this place is just not the most inviting place. Atmosphere is just lacking(in my opinion), like another Unilocaler said its like an asylum, its cold, bland, and creepy, and just makes you want to drip tears into your beer. Beer — plenty to choose from, upwards of 30 taps I believe! ! But oddly enough I couldn’t find 1 wit! Really? 30 varieties and not 1 wit on tap? Ok. But im sure you can find something else but that’s not really the point of having a huge selection right? If you have that many beers on tap come on! Nevertheless great place to fill the growler to get in and out. Good place for after work drinks. In and out Customer service-no problems Next door to a pizza place you can order and pick up all in about 15mins. Clean overall including restrooms. Really wanted to like this place more, me and the wife, we went several times when they first opened then again after months of the opening then now hoping it would invite us Back for more, but… meh

This is a great concept, but their implementation of this concept could be better. On the one hand, I like the fact that you can taste a variety of 30 – 40 beers and think that it is great that they make their own brew. However, it seems like there is not enough variety in the types of beer that they offer. It seems like they really like Belgian beers(because a significant numbers of beers are fruit or sour beers), but if you want a traditional stout, brown ale, or bock, there are usually not that many options to choose from. Similarly, their homemade beers tend to be experimental fruit beers, and the one time that I had one of their homemade stouts, I was not impressed.(This may have been the first time that I did not like a stout because it had not enough body.) Nevertheless, it is a nice neighborhood location, and with a few minor changes, I think that it can be excellent.

cool place. friendly staff. next to cane rosso and allow you to bring pizzas in. normally have one or two obscures. only problem is that i just like the selection at other beer places more. as they gain traction, that may change.

On Rotation is the hidden gem of beer lovers in the Lakewood area. Sitting in the back of a shopping center, it’s hard to find. It’s located next door to Cane Rosso with plenty of parking and seating space. They have about 40 beers on draw, about 4 of them their own brew. I tried their own beers and wasn’t too impressed, but the other things they have from other people are definitely a nice selection. Their prices are very reasonable, they can sell you a half pour, full pour or growler(growlers are super cheap). Also, if you come on a Wednesday, they have«Clean Slate» Wednesdays, which means everything is half off because they are changing the menu. Definitely check it out!

Cool place! We ordered the flights of beers since they have so many on tap. My favorites were some of the house beers — very impressive. The jalapeño was a standout, as was the blackberry. Since the change selection regularly, I’ll definitely be back. Above the beer selection, I have to say I’m more than impressed with the staff. They were very helpful and knowledgeable on the beers. It’s not like I was just stuck with a menu and had to guess, they asked what kinds of beer I liked and suggested several that would fit my taste. This is setup to have some great beers and good conversation. Not your average bar that’s loud and crowded. We will be back with some friends to enjoy some good brews.

Wonderful!!! Love this place. There are 40 craft beers on tap. The bar has a great layout. You can bring your kids because there is plenty of room for them to play. Get your food from the pizza place next door! Sooo much fun at this place.

Super nice folks, no frills and tons o’ beer. And here’s my favorite part – I can get Canne Rosso to go and not wait for a table over there. Yeah. I can order my pizza/sandwich/artichokes and then have a beer. Pick up my food after beer one and order beer two to go with my dinner. On Rotation is an adult only establishment – better environment for enjoying ones’ pizza and beer. They have a great beer selection and the staff knows their stuff. I’ve tried some new beers and loved them based on staff recommendations. And another plus, my little group can stumble to the Compound from this location. What’s not to LOVE.

Snapshot: 5⁄5 Beer Selection 4⁄5 Vibe 5⁄5 Service If you are like me and looking to try local or seasonal beers, I recommend checking me out On Rotation. There’s approximately 40 taps and they offer ciders and wine. You can order a ½ Pour, Pint or get a Growler to go. The prices points are good. The vibe is very chill but we went on a Monday. Big space w/a patio and next door to Cane Rosso. They produce a list of what’s setup next to be tapped. TIP: use google maps and get a pint before or after a pie at Cane.

Game night!!! Lots of games and lots of singles playing– how fun is that!!! Two single ladies texting. One couple on a date night. One nerd on his laptop. Three large butt guys sitting at the bar, arses spilling over the stool, alas. Two Tvs showing baseball but no sound– yay! HUGE selection of beer. Great bartender steered me to something I loved. No food at all. BRINGYOUROWN! Really! Stop somewhere on your way in! QT pretzel! Cane Russo! Granola bar in your purse(not so much). Bag of chips! Something! Not so much as a kernel of popcorn to be had! Kinda the opposite– not BYOB but BYOF! Ha! I’ll be back… With a picnic for sure.

I’ve not had a house beer that was not very solid. The staff is very knowledgable and seem to enjoy helping with choices. The ownership is very accommodating and I look forward to coming back.

Ehhhhh, mixed feelings. I do like the beer selection. I especially enjoyed the fact that they once had the Sculpin Grapefruit which did not disappoint. Other than filling up a growler, I doubt I will be back to hang out. There is no patio, come on an inviting patio with Dallas weather sucking back cold beers. Need I say more? The interior is where the points get lost, it is one of the most STERILE designs I have ever seen, like an insane asylum, totally washed out with no comfort. Final verdict, come for the beers and get to your own back yard to enjoy them.

I appreciate the new development in our neighborhood, I sincerely do! Would it kill them to put a chair in here with a cushion?!? When I wasn’t shivering with chills and struggling to hear over the echo, my boney backside was hurting from the solid chairs. I agree with the earlier comment: «all the warmth of an igloo».

Extensive beer selection. Conveniently located by several food options and I believe they’ll let you bring your meal in. This place was very clean and unfortunately very empty. I’m sure it was just a weekday lull. I will return.

This place has all the charm and warmth of an igloo. Cheap chairs, cheap tables, cheap metal uncomfortable barstools. Cold atmosphere. Fortunately, they have a very solid selection that are poured properly and taste as they should. Something Strangeways doesn’t do. I’d come back for a special release, drink it then go. It just feels cold in here and the metal barstools are ridiculously uncomfortable. Sorry to crush you on the feel of your place, On Rotation but it doesn’t make me want to stay. Nice job on the beer though.

Yep, we have a winner. Let me tell you what rocks about this place. Beer. Lots of beer. 40 taps at any given time. Local awesomeness, all the stuff the cool kids drink. The owners are passionate about beer. They say that their own brews are experimental, which is cool. They aren’t on the wall right now, but by the end of February we should be able to sip on a cucumber lager. Wha??? They have a super cool neighbor(Cane Rosso) and you can order a pizza and eat it with your beer. Plenty of seating, garage windows that make patio seating possible, half pours and flights. What else could you possibly need? Go here, drink the beer. Walking distance from the lake, what are you waiting for?

really happy to see more businesses being added to the lakewood/white rock area especially one focused on specialty beer. I love that they support other Texas breweries. I believe they’ll be offering their own brews in the near future. You can bring your own food in which is great because you can order pizza from Cane Rosso and bring it over. I’ll happily come here and have a beer and take out pizza for dinner instead of waiting an hour at Cane Rosso(which I happily do on a regular basis). A few things I would suggest — flights so you can easily carry your taster beers back to the table and I would like to see the IBU listed on the beer selection menu. Revision — just spoke with Nate and they are getting flights! Will definitely be returning!

Brews on rotation, something different every time you come in. Nice lil spot to try different craft beers.

Great new local hang out near White Rock Lake. Glad to see they support local breweries and have plenty of selection. They carry 40 beers on tap at a time, with the selection being switched out. It has a good atmosphere and is located right next door to Cane Rosso.
