I go to Paradise quite a bit in the mornings so this is really a breakfast review. I’ve gotten lunch a few times years; typical sandwiches, soups, & salads. Now for breakfast, I am a huge fan of their muffins. My picks are cinnamon apple, pumpkin nut, and cranberry orange(possibly seasonal). Paradise also offers golden ham & cheese croissants, tasty kolaches, and smoothies. The kolaches are wrapped in croissant instead of the usual breading and are just the right size. Don’t sleep on the coffee just because it’s not Starbucks. I stick with regular with no cream or sugar but they have a variety of flavors of coffees and creamers. It’s located in the lower level of Renaissance Tower, across from PotBelly. Oh I failed to mention the desserts! The cookies are really good and it’s best to get them early.

After reading some reviews and passing by this place couple of times in the past couple of years, I finally decided to stop in and try it out. Now they do sell meals as well and not just sweet treats. But I love my treats so that’s what I was going for. By the way, there is a line specifically for deserts, don’t get fooled like me and stand in a long ass meal line when you can get in and out with the much shorter treats line. They have slices of cakes, pies, brownies, cookies, muffins and who knows what else. I went with the cookies which they say there famous for. They where RIGHT! Excellent cookies! I did the buy 3, get 4th free and meant to share the cookies till I tasted the 1st one. Cookies didn’t stand a chance, I POUNDED them all that afternoon. Thinking of them now as I review… mmm… Would be nice to try out some other treats as well.

I absolutely love this location, mainly for the people that work there. I pop in at least once a week bc it’s close to work(it’s underground, in Renaissance Tower). Every person I have encountered there has been beyond friendly and happy to help me. It’s busy, with lots of people going in and out, yet it never gets overwhelming and my order has never been wrong. My favorite thing to get is the Asian Chicken Salad. Yum!

Good food, good catering — will also deliver — located in the tunnels downtown. Their baked goods are really well done.

This is just another sandwich joint in the underground world that is the Renaissance Tower. The portions are great, price is fair and the people are seriously friendly. I was a complete idiot and they managed to get me through lunch. It’s a good choice, its just not special.

In the tunnel below Renaissance Tower. Don’t go to Paradise if you are on a diet. You’d be deceiving yourself to think a salad or sandwich so wonderful could be good for you. This place is kind of a fancy salad/sandwich/soup/baked goods concern, so be prepared to drop a few bucks here. I usually get the California Turkey sandwich which is insanely awesome and my tab usually ends up being about $ 7. That’s for the full sandwich… and it comes with a cookie… so quite a lot of food(and calories). Could it be that I’m supposed to share this meal with another person?! They are open for breakfast and offer a variety of baked goods, but I’d steer clear of their coffee. Chippers are their little chocolate chip cookies and they probably have a full stick of butter and a cup of sugar in each one, but I’d still recommend buying a dozen to take back to your desk and offer to co-workers whom you are trying to be nicer to.

Ok, so this is just an underground, hole-in-the-wall location in the middle of a food court, but I don’t care. This place brings much joy into my life, so it deserves a mention. Paradise Bakery makes some ass-kicking salads, cookies and breakfast sandwiches. They have tons of pre-made options(like the Waldorf Salad and the turkey cranberry sandwich), but you can also make your own concoctions. My daily meal is the egg and cheese on wheat toast. It’s huge, with tons of extra cheese, and they make it in a griddle fresh when you order it. I also offer rave reviews for their salad setup. It’s the closest thing to a make-your-own-salad bar that I’ve seen since I left Manhattan. They have everything I need for a scrumptious salad, from corn to broccoli to field greens and more. As an additional bonus, their homemade cookies are soft and fresh and come in multiple varieties. You get 2 for $ 1 when you order a meal … can’t beat that. The muffins are yum-tasty, too. Check this place out for a quick bite, and if you work downtown in a cubicle, you’ll feel right at home in their dark, underground digs. ;) Plus, there’s a Starbucks just a few hundred feet away. One-stop shopping!
