Patina Floor Design Store

My husband and I chose to start our wood floor buying process with Patina because we were impressed by their website. We were not, however, impressed by the service once we were in the store.
The store itself is beautiful, but from the minute we walked in, the feeling was just — awkward. The 1^st designer asked if we needed any help (of course, this isn’t the type of store you just browse around on your own) and she promptly introduced us to the 2^nd designer. We never once got the feeling that we were welcome, or that she valued the fact that we were there. She simply answered the questions we asked, and that was it. We almost got the feeling that we were dumb for not knowing what floating wood floors are, or the benefits of bamboo flooring. This isn’t common knowledge!
She never really recommended a product, never pulled samples for us to look at, didn’t go into detail on pros and cons. Just brief answers to our questions, and that was that. We told them that we intended to redo the floors in our ENTIRE house, so it was shocking that there was no feeling at all that she was trying to get our business.
We left her with a layout of our house (we haven’t moved in yet), and were assured we would receive a very basic quote. That was four days ago, and still nothing.
Subsequently, we went to several other flooring stores in the area, all of whom went above and beyond to make us feel as though they absolutely wanted our business, so looking back, we were not overreacting about the negative feeling we had when we left Patina. There really was a lack of care and service.
The bottom line is, we basically felt like we were a burden to her for being there, and were never treated as though we were potential customers. We will for sure be taking our business elsewhere.
