Mom is having a ham baked potato with the works… adding sour cream, she says it’s like a steak dinner, a full meal.

This is a horrible establishment! The workers are consistently rude, unprofessional and unorganized. For example, a customer walking in new can get their order, which may be a similar item ahead of people who have been waiting for theirs. They also now require that allow them to write your DL# on their receipt on credit card transactions even if you have a picture on your card like I do. I have also experienced bad food that was old and cold and the manager put me through so much hassle to just replace a chop beef sandwich which is the cheapest thing on the menu. I gave them the benefit of the doubt instead maybe they just had an off night or a few nights but coming back several months later nothing has change attitudes are still bad and food is sub par.

Visited here for the first time and they have been here forever… Had some late night barbecue one night and it was sooooo good I was mad I hadn’t tried it sooner! Definitely coming back for some more barbecue and one of their famous baked potatoes. They also had some other things I want to try like pork chop baskets etc.

Unbelievably good sandwiches. Cheap. Huge. Best chopped beef sandwiches in Dallas, by far. We drive 30 minutes away just to get some of this. Come get some! Shady area, but well worth your trip.

This is by far the Best Bar B Q place in the hood! I love the late hours and I enjoy the Ribs, Beef, & East Texas hot links… I also like that they have late hours for those late munchies! I also enjoy the chopped beef sandwiches as well. Oldie but Goodie!

Tried it while visiting Dallas. Sausage was horrible hot but not flavored. Peach cobbler was DISGUSTING worse I’ve ever seen. Will never go back EVER and I’ve moved to Dallas

Pretty good BBQ… my favorite selections are the Polish sausage, short end ribs, & turkey legs. It’s best to walk-in, the drive-thru can be long and the wait is also long. They do accept card payments and they require ID to be shown. Worth at least one try

Record’s Barbecue Review: So, I’ve gone there twice in my life. The first time was ok. This time, dismal and disturbingly disgusting. We ordered the links, beans, and bread. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I love barbecue and eat it often(almost too often lol). As a Native Dallasite, I know my barbecue. This my friend, was not barbecue. The links weren’t fully cooked. I’m serious. There was undercooked pork inside of the casing. I’m almost positive that wasn’t safe to consume so we stopped eating. They were the size of mutated Lil’ Smokies. The beans weren’t seasoned at all, and tasted(texture wise) like Sunday’s leftovers. The bread(a literal piece of sandwich bread lol) was the highlight of our meal(and by meal, I mean we only ate bread). Out of fear of a stomach virus, I will NEVER go to Record’s Barbecue(or lack thereof) again. #Nasty #Terrible #BuyerBeware #Becauseyouwillwasteyourmoney

I bought a order of ribs– no sauce and a slice of sweet potato pie. It was really good. I wrote that like it was my first time ever having them– not. I’m not into the sauce on any barbecue really– that’s how you know if they can cook or not. If you need the sauce– they can’t cook. The pie was good too. Tip: get your sauce on the side– then your really see what you bought.(dry, brunt, no seasoning) The sauce hides these things but still gets sold. That’s any barbecue place.

This place is crap. All they do is smother the food in their nasty bbq sauce. I wouldnt bother.

I love the baked potatoe with(The Works and links)!!! Me not being from here is probably the reason why lol becuase I don’t have many other potatoes to compare too. The ones I can compare to are much bigger but doesn’t come as loaded and uniformed as Records. I’ve had other items on the menu but was very disappointed :( If u go here stick to the potatoe!

OMG… hadn’t been to this place in a while but wanted BBQ chicken. I ordered a half chicken-dry(no bbq sauce). She said they were out of white meat but would give me all dark at a discount… Fine. I took the dark meat. Get hm all hungry to find dried up chicken… drinched in the tomato pastey bbq sauce they use. Hot Mess. Not Happy. Gave them A(uno) star and they DON’T deserve that!??

Another ordinary BBQ spot. My husband and I were hoping that this place was going to have something special to offer but no, just another hole in the wall place in the hood with flavorless BBQ. We shared 1lbs of Pork Ribs. $ 11.00. The meat was tender but it was missing seasoning and smoky flavor. We’ll keep our $ 11.00 and go to Rudy’s next time.

…if I weren’t so hungry… This was by far not my best barbecue experience in North TX. I would have to say it was next to worse. We started at the drive-thru menu board. After a minute of not being able to understand it, we went inside to order. One rib plate and a «The Works». The ribs were swimming in some grease based barbecue sauce and the loaded baked potato(aka The Works) was minus the sauce that the order taker informed us it came with. I have had better potato salad from Kroger and the beans were just as I remember them from the Ranch Style beans can.
