Fresh and healthy options in a short amount of time. Call in orders to avoid the lines and ask for very light dressing so it doesn’t get soggy. Really big portions and endless combinations. They support local farms and businesses and the restaurant is clean.

The freshest ingredients and homemade dressings. You can totally taste the difference. We are so lucky to have a place like this in the Back Mountain. I would eat a salad from Red Leaf every day.

Good fresh ingredients, decent service. Lot’s of add in options, a little pricey for a salad but not horrible. The chicken would be better chopped than sliced, looks like deli slices. Overall, good stuff.

Great place. Fresh yummy salads. Love the Power Salad. Super clean. Fresh, pick your own ingredients. Friendly staff and speed service. I always go here for lunch when I have a break in my day.

Went to red leaf today for lunch today around 2pm. The restaurant had several people in line but the flow through making the salads didn’t take more than 5 minutes. I ordered the Southwestern Salad and had it without the cheddar cheese. The salad maker was very jovial and kind, but the salad cutters were not as nice. When prompted to stop putting salad dressing on the salad, I was given a look by the salad cutter that was beyond rude. That being said, the salad was quite delicious — very fresh and very flavorful. I do have some suggestions for Red Leaf. As a frequent Sweetgreen and Chop’t salad patron, I was dismayed to see that the salads at Red Leaf are fairly ‘typical’ in their nature. There wasn’t anything that popped out at me that I had to try right away. Even still, what got me more was the fact that Red Leaf does NOT ask you how much dressing you would like on your salad. At other salad establishments they always ask you if you’d like your dressing light, medium, or heavy — so while I waited for that question, my salad maker drenched the salad in their creamy southwestern dressing. This is a big deal as the salad dressings are usually the part of a salad that ends up adding the most calories! I would greatly suggest that they start doing this in order to help their customers procure a more ‘healthy’ salad. Also, I think that they should give bread or pita — or have it available for customers if they desire it. That’s always a nice thing to complement your salad — rather than the pita chips or tortilla chips they have near the register. Altogether, I was much happier with Red Leaf than I was when I visited for the first time in Spring 2014 after it had just opened. My experience then was very rushed and filled with rude employees who were not sure which way was up or down. Glad to see that they’ve at least learned a bit over the past year. I’d go back again for sure.

very expensive for a salad, extremely long wait time for a salad, on a positive note very clean for a restaurant

Considering we do not have a salad works around here or any other salad resturant we decided to give this one a try. Salads were huge and very fresh. Everything is sourced locally and the soups and dressings are made there. My boyfriend didn’t think they gave him enough dressing but the rest of our group was well satisfied.

We have been several times. It’s nice that they are growing and hiring new staff because at start up the guys behind the counter were generally pretty arrogant. Especially when they had a sign up about receiving a discount for checking in on facebook… if you cant be bothered to take the sign down, don’t be bothered when people still do it! The last few times, the new girls have been very pleasant, though! The salads are great and the wraps are delicious, both are very filling! I can see where it would get pricey is you load up you salad with extras, but essentially it is as costly as you make it. Definitely check it out! A much healthier option than most places in Dallas.

The salads here are huge, delicious, fresh, fast, and very affordable. There is a vast array of toppings available, and the clear cubes filled with hydroponically grown lettuce are attractively presented. Lettuce has rarely been so enticing! I loved that the dressing I chose(Soy Ginger) was not overly salty or oily. Dressing can so often be the downfall of an otherwise healthy salad. All in all, I love this place. It would be great if they can open up a branch or two closer to Philadelphia.

Its nice to see some healthier lunch options in the Back Mountain. I grabbed a southwest salad from Red Leaf tonight and I thought it was executed well. The staff seemed friendly to me, and FYI if you don’t want them to «chop» your salad, then just ask them not to do it.

I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened. You can create either a wrap or salad, and choose all of your all toppings. All of the toppings are VERY fresh and the counter area is very clean. They make homemade dressings and soups everyday. During peak times it could take sometime to get up to the counter, based on how long the customers take. There are some new employees there, but whenever I go they are kind and helpful. I go there quite often and not have a bad experience! You pay for what you get. You get high quality food, and you pay for it. On average I spend $ 6 – 12 per wrap, but that’s only because I load it up! I highly recommend this restaurant as a alternative to any fast food restaurant.

I like red leaf. The salads are huge, lots of toppings and lettuce to pick from, and most of the people I’ve encountered there have been nice. I actually like that they chop the ingredients up for you unlike other reviewers. They also have a lot of dressing to pick from which I really enjoy. I think for 10 bucks, you get a large and healthy meal. Not a bad deal at all. Just keep track of the toppings you’re choosing. It’s not rocket science.

Meh, it was ok. I had romaine lettuce with simple toppings, cucumbers, tomatoes, cooper cheese, and croutons and 1,000 Island salad dressing. I wish I had tasted the dressing before I put it on my salad, it had a very strong ‘oniony’ taste to it which might have thrown it off for me. For $ 8 I think I’d rather make my own salad at home :/

We live fairly far from Dallas, so when we spotted this establishment, we knew we had to pop-in. In all honesty, we figured that it would be gone in a few months … I mean, who likes salad? Well, as it turns out EVERYONE likes salad! As we stood in line, we noticed the constant influx of families and young people. It was so refreshing to see parents inspiring a love of healthy eating in their children! And, it is so fantastic to have a shop solely devoted to better food choices! WOW! Everything is prepared fresh and the bins of various cheeses, beans, vegetables, ect were keep extremely clean. This is a priority for me, and it was very heartening to see the care in which they invest in remaining sanitary. And, the wraps are positively huge! Maybe a pound in weight?! These folks do not«cheap out!» Even if you do not buy anything past the first five comped ingredients, the wraps and salads will be massive! Be prepared to share it with your lunch/dinner companion. AND, it was super tasty! These are salads and wraps that you can feel good about(as long as you skip/go lightly on the bacon … LOL!) I really LOVE how each salad is chopped into easy-to-eat bites right before the customer’s eyes. It’s a bit like watching the ice-cream artists at Cold Stone work! Fun! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Likewise, the environment it is immaculate! Finally, just keep an eye on the add-ons and you will not be disappointed!(Those extras can add-up very, very fast!) Well done, Red Leaf! We will be back!

I would give zero stars of I could. Not because of the food but because the workers are very rude and do not know how to follow instructions. Then when they make a mistake they argue with you about it. I am not talking about my order. I talking about the fact that there is a sign that says like us on Facebook and show us, and you will receive 10% off. That didn’t happen. When I pointed out the mistake the kid who worked there got very rude and started threatening me. Stay away from this place as they do not know how to treat customers. I guess they never heard that the customer is always right!

Great selection and reasonably priced salad if you are conscious of your choice of toppings, but be careful because toppings can add up! The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. The way they chop up the salad melds all the flavors together, and it’s a huge portion. Also, the soups are delicious and so are the homemade salad dressings!!! The southwestern dressing is out of this world. Could eat it with a spoon :)

It’s nice to see that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in NEPA, but this place is no Saladworks or Sweet Greens. It would be helpful if they offered some concept salads with pricing, because you can go overboard really quickly and the next thing you know, you’ve made $ 15 salad. Another point of annoyance is watching them chop the salad. This is not the time to take out your aggressions. It’s a very sloppy process to watch and slightly unappetizing. And, if you take your leftover salad home be warned it will be a water mess the next day. Lastly, If you don’t like salty chicken, stay away from the Cajun style or get ready to buy more than one of their overpriced beverages. Oh and a little roll or pita chip would have been nice, too. Overall I give the owners a lot of credit but I’m not sure I would go back unless I had a coupon. It’s missing something. Maybe they need to shop the big players a couple of more times.

Great concept. Made to order salads like the way chipotle makes burritos endless combinations. Base salad includes your choice of 5 base items, pay per ingredient above that and pay for premium ingredients. They also offer wraps and soups. Garden décor with small 4 seat tables. We got here late and missed out on soup.
