This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I had never been and asked around for a hip little spot to grab some good food. We were not let down! The lobster corn dogs were so delicious as well as the short ribs and white Mac as for drinks, the Trinity 75 is the cocktail to try! Fruity and refreshing on a hot day in Texas! Definitely will be coming back soon!

Great service and food with a fabulous skyline from the outside eating area. I came here last night with several girlfriends for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Parking looks hectic, but it was easier than I expected for 7pm on a Saturday night. The lights on the street seem to be timed badly making it hard to get around– mainly out of the Trinity groves complex. Anyway, back to the restaurant… The waiter was friendly, knowledgable, and flexible– as we did ask to change tables from inside to outside. Originally there was not a large enough table for us, but they made room by the time our dinner came. The menu was smaller than I would have liked, and a little intimidating. Not just by price, but by the explanation. I am battling a cold and didn’t want to order anything too big so I ordered the caeser salad and had them add chicken. Surprisingly, it was fabulous. The chicken was super tender and the presentation was really interesting. I also got their sangria which had interesting flavors to it. Not my favorite, but could have been way worse. Overall, good experience and I would come back again to try something else– or even for another salad ;)

The drinks were great and that’s the reason I gave 2 instead of 1 star. Had the trinity 75 and the mule. Both perfect The service was friendly enough. The entire TG area was closing early for some reason and we were rushed into ordering –not even the waitress knew why… Anyway We had to place two rounds of drinks and all food orders practically at once We NEVER received our appetizers. The short rib dish was delish The filet was good The gnocchi were practically non existent(the size of a pinto bean) although the Shrimp on top were good All in all a very disappointing experience.

We had the best Mother’s Day lunch today. The brunch menu summoned my hunger, and I decided on the Spare Rib Omelet and a mimosa as did my daughter. We were pleasantly surprised! Yummy roasted potatoes were also a hit! They were a little skimpy on the ketchup, and the waitress became a little testy while taking our picture. To top it off, we had the pumpkin cheese cake which was the best I’ve EVER had. All around, it was a good experience!

What makes this place great. Their bar. Their shishito margarita that I can’t seem to get enough of when I’m there, not to mention their shisito pepper appetizer. There is a nice outdoor space and a quaint indoor space that can accomodate large groups or intimate ones as well. We’ve been here a handful of time and I haven’t had a complaint yet and we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve gotten so far. But it’s been my favorite place to get a cocktail after work that’s worth coming for versus hoping you don’t get a crap stock mixed drink. Just come and enjoy. We did.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday last week… and I would say the food is just so-so, and their lunch menu is a bit limited(lots of seafood options but my girlfriend is allergic to them). I ordered the resto crab cakes w/roasted artichokes and tempura rock shrimp wraps. I wasn’t really impressed with either of them. And I thought the shrimp wraps were gona be wrapped like a spring roll but the way it’s served, it’s pretty much up to you to roll it yourself and it gets kind of messy. My girlfriend wanted the braised beef short rib but they were out of it. And so instead, she ordered the bbq pork sliders, which she says was pretty good. If you’re in the trinity groves area, give the place a shot, but there are plenty of other options available.

The food is good however the price is high for the portions and the noise level inside is intolerable. The staff can’t hear you, you can’t hear them and you can hardly cary on a conversation. Music system is very poor. Sounds like you are next to a thumper car at a red light. Management would not change it and blamed it on pandora. Can’t sit outside if it’s rainy because the deck cover leaks. For this kind of money I expect more.

We haven’t eaten anything there. We’ve only had the chai sangria which is pretty good. For $ 10 a glass, it’s tasty but not sure it’s worth that price. They have lots of outdoor patio space which is awesome in the spring.

Great location flavorless food. This place is flavorless. Came here for lunch and got the following; Shrimp wrap appetizer: Terrible. Completely flavorless. Looked like someone simply slapped noodles on limp lettuce and dropped a couple of deep fried shrimp on it. The sauce was a poorly constructed aioli that tasted like pure mayo. Chicken Cesar: The chicken looked«fake grilled» and old — it may have literally sat out in the kitchen for a couple of days — the cilantro«crust» looked like mold, and the chicken was crusty. My dog didn’t even eat it. Pork sliders: came recommend but again, simply bad. The meat was cold, slimy, and over indulged in syrup and sauce. Shishito Marg: tastes like it has dish soap in it. Total price? $ 64.13. Definitely not worth it. I really wish the restaurant would focus on quality and step up. It’s a neat spot and would be a shame not to create a fresh, crisp and flavorful menu. Pros? Good patio, ok wine list and good music. Our sever was also really nice and replaced my marg with a glass of alright white wine.

Went for brunch– it was fun that they had the Bloody Mary bar and chipotle pickles. I ordered the the short rib omelette I think I was expecting something different because it was like shredded beef inside the omelette. It was still tasty! Lisa the bartender was great. LOVEDTHEHENNESSEYMIMOSA

Cool & hip place for a bite & drinks. Food(4 Stars) — Had the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. Food was fresh & tasty, but a greasy. Maybe due to the homemade BBQ chips which were amazing. Ambiance(4 Stars) — Ate here during weekday lunch, low noise great for biz meetup Service(4 Stars) — quick and attentive Jimmy’s Hacks — parking can be crazy. Park in the back or across the street. Note… reviews maybe updated after future visits. If you find any of my hacks or reviews helpful pls follow & like my reivew for more. Thx

One day I will find a restaurant in Trinity Groves that I like. Yesterday was not that day. Service is always odd in Trinity Groves. Our waiter walked up and immediately started venting about his long commute to work like we were besties. So awkward. Drinks were good. I had the Resto Mule which was delicious but not very strong, so don’t drink it thinking you’re going to get wild and crazy. My friend had the Barrel Aged Hero which she absolutely raved about. Apps was the crab cakes, which were yummy to my tummy. Fortunately I scoped them out on Unilocal beforehand, because they are definitely crab cake balls, not crab cakes. Sooooo if you want a traditional crab cake, don’t order these. I got the shrimp with gnocchi and it was soooooooo delicious. Things were looking good for Resto! I loved this dish! It was a bunch of ingredients that you’d think maybe wouldn’t work well together and here they are, all meshing together and being delicious. Yum yum yum! After I inhaled my dish, I noticed my friend had hardly touched her burger. Like, she had taken maybe four little baby bites. And I notice that the burger which she ordered medium(per the waiter’s suggestion) was suuuuuuper pink. Like, just raw burger meatiness. I mentioned something and she was relieved because she thought maybe it was her. So, next time the waiter stops by we mention it to him. He looks at the burger and says he thinks maybe it’s medium rare but he understands and he’s going to grab the manager. The manager came by 15 minutes later(definitely wasn’t busy enough for it to take him that long to stop by) and he also says it’s medium rare and offers to get her a new one, which was nice, but she was sort of turned off by the whole thing so he offers her a drink or dessert on the house and she ordered a drink. But here’s the thing: we were still charged for the burger. Which is fine, we weren’t trying to get out of paying for it, it’s just really weird to offer a different free thing to make up for the thing that was sucky and still charge for the sucky thing. Right? And the other thing: I just google image searched«rare burger» and they were mostly more cooked than my friend’s burger. Like, had it been any less cooked, there would have been pink on the outside of the patty. It was kind of annoying how they kept trying to convince us that it was medium rare. Weird.

Can I eat at Resto every. single. day??? Minneapolis has a great food scene and when my co-workers came into the Big D for a few days, I knew I had to show off our incredible foodie-friendly city. Resto was first on the list! Trinity Groves is such a trendy and cool spot and Resto fits the vibe perfectly. Their lunch menu is fantastic and has a great mix for ever palate. My co-workers ordered the Chinese Hack Salad and when it came out, I could have cried! It was amazing. I ordered the Smoked Chicken Salad Sandwich and while it was SUPER tasty, I’ve been dreaming of that salad ever since. If you’re in the hood, be sure to check out Resto for a great classic gastro pub vibe and menu!

Great service and a tasty Asian/Texan fusion approach to many of the entrees make this a place we really enjoy for our date nights. The food is rich and interesting; the cocktails are tasty twists on the classics. Our servers have always been friendly and attentive, and we’ve never had to wait for a table. On our first visit, we enjoyed the patio and started with the Cheddar Cheese Chicharones, which were really tasty, but I’m still curious what they used to make the cheese powder coating them. We then shared the Pears & Cheese salad, a bed of frissee, arugula, roasted Bosc pears, crispy(fried) panko crusted blue cheese croquettes, candied pecans and a roasted pear vinaigrette. I would definitely order it again. For our main course, we split the Korean Fried Chicken and my husband ordered some of the Lemon Goat Cheese Polenta. The chicken was so delicious, sweet, salty and spicy, all at once, and the sticky rice that accompanies it is simple yet, really satisfying. The polenta was not as flavorful as we hoped, but perhaps part of the problem was that it was not paired well with the rest of our course. We were so incredibly full after sharing these items, we didn’t have room for dessert. On our second visit, we ate in the dining room and decided to skip an appetizer, share the Chinese Hack Salad and each get our own entrees, and again, we were happy with our choices. He had the Sea Bass, which was on special that evening I don’t do much fish, but he loved it) and I had the Red Chili Honey Cured Filet. I rarely order steak, but for some reason it just sounded good that night. The meat was so tender, cooked just as I ordered it and the accompanying baked potato croquettes were so creamy, a nice alternative to the stereotypical baked potato so frequently paired with steak. Again, we were both way too full to try any dessert, but maybe someday… Someday we’ll try the brunch, but until then, we’ll keep coming back for our date nights or when we have friends in from out of town to enjoy that patio and the tasty cocktails and dinners.

Another gem in the lineup at Trinity Groves! We met up with a couple for Brunch and were excited for the Bloody Mary bar. It’s $ 10 for ONE build your own Bloody Mary, which at first was kinda surprising and slightly disappointing… I definitely assumed it would be bottomless — but I soon realized you get PLENTY for what you pay for. I put celery, okra, bacon, olives and pickles in mine and absolutely LOVED the mix they used. I ended up being really happy with it. For food, we were blown away. I got the chicken and waffles — highly recommend. The breakfast potatoes were tasty and the whole thing was just the perfect mix of crispy breaded chicken, bacon, egg, waffle and sweet syrup. The ultimate combo of sweet and savory. My boyfriend got an omelet the he loved, and my friend got the French toast. Everyone cleared their plates. Similar to the rest of Trinity Groves, it’s a tad pricey, but in the case of Resto, it is well worth it. I will definitely be back! This is a great place to bring your parents, grandparents and friends! Perfect for dates as well.

Tried this restaurant while out in Dallas on business. It was a Saturday night, but early so there was no wait. I sat outside which was very nice. Fans above to keep you cool. I started with a cocktail with blueberry infused bourbon. It was tasty but with a huge block of ice so there was not very much drink in the glass. Appetizer was cheddar cheese chicharrones. They were nice and crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. The cheese unfortunately was like someone poured the remainder from the bag of cheese doodles on top. Didn’t work so well. Dinner was veal cheeks. They were extremely tender, as I didn’t need to use a knife at all. The potato purée was excellent as was the side of polenta. Service was fair, but not great. I would give it another go if I lived in the area and try some new dishes.

We wanted to try a new place in trinity groves, so we ended up here for Sunday brunch. It definitely looked like one of the most crowded restaurants in the area. The inside of the restaurant is really nice, and they have a large shaded patio too. Also, I really like that you can make reservations online. We didn’t need them, but I always appreciate the option. We ordered the crème brûlée french toast, the chicken & waffles(which was apparently a new menu item), and the steak & eggs. I really liked the french toast. I’ve had crème brûlée french toast at a couple of other places, but liked this one the best. They actually make the sugar coating on the outside crispy. My only complaint was that it was really small. There’s no way I would’ve been satisfied with just that for an entrée. The chicken and waffles was ok. It sounded really appealing because it came with fried chicken, bacon, and scrambled eggs sandwiched between two waffles, but didn’t quite taste up to standards. The seasoning on the chicken was missing something(maybe a little sugar?) because it just tasted salty and peppery. I liked the addition of the bacon and eggs. The waffles were sub-par and tasted very eggo-y. Maybe they are still working on improving the chicken & waffles since it’s such a new menu item. I had a bite of the boyfriend’s steak and eggs, and it was delicious. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It’s a nice place for brunch! I really enjoyed it.

Went to Resto for a lunch meeting and asked the waiter what he’d recommed. He rambled through a list of what was popular — XYZ sandwich is popular, ABC gets ordered a lot.(Note to the owner: It woudl be great to tell your servers that it is perfectly ok to say what they think is good and why, otherwise it seems like they never eat your food.) Anyway, everything he pointed out did sound good(ahi tuna sandwich, crab sandwich… yes to all?). However, he said nothing about the one thing that truly stood out to me: The lobster corn dogs. So I asked him and heard, as you might expect, that the lobster corn dogs were very popular. Sigh. I took a risk and ordered them because, lobster corn dogs.(How can you not?) They were AMAZING. Easily some of the most eventful and delicious items I have crammed into my mouth lately. The lobster wasn’t too rich and the batter was light. The dipping sauce was a stone ground mustard marmelade. The chips that came on the side were ok but, for me, still a better choice than fries. Could there be a veg side option like an arugula salad maybe? All in all, this was a great experience and I’d definitely go back.

We stopped in here for lunch with our friends from out of town. The patio dining was perfect with the excellent weather we had. I opted for the seared Ahi sandwich and that was a good call. However, the cut of fish cost the extra star. I had some gristle in the Ahi and was unable to eat a few bites. That happens, but the chef should have caught the problem before he served it. Anyway, everyone agreed that the food and service was wonderful and that we would look forward to a return visit. Check it out, I think you will like it!
