If I could rate this place 0 stars I would without a second thought. My husband and I just moved to town and went looking for a good Chinese food place. We found this place and went inside. BIG mistake. The people that work there were extremely rude. It was like every question I asked they had something rude to say back. I got the fried dumplings which were discusting they tasted like they had been in a dumpster all day and just barely heated up when I ordered it. They were gross didn’t have a good flavor at all. I also got hot and sour soup. I have never in my life found a Chinese restaurant whose soup was not good, until this place. It had old ingredients in it and tasted awful. Nothing is good about this place. I highly suggest not wasting your time or money and go elsewhere. I will NEVER be back. I wish I could get my money back because that was the biggest waste EVER.

We got orange chicken again and it was even tastier than my first visit. The window man was really nice, gave us duck sauce and a smile.

I had the E7 Hunan Style to go. It doesn’t come with meat so I asked for tofu. Extra 64 cents! * This is supposed to be a vegetable plate, so where were the vegetables. Very small portion of vegetables. * The tofu they put in there was«soft tofu» like you buy in the grocery store. Awful! Like eating snot, so I put that aside. * Strangest Hunan sauce I’ve ever tasted. Really different, and not in a good way. * It came with a huge pile of rice, but it was very gooey. As the raven says«Never more». I’m outta here, forever.

The food is not bad for the price. The place is always packed with people, so it’s better if you call in your order if it’s to go.

I have been to Rice Bowl Express 2 times. Each time I ordered the daily special(Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken) and both times the meals were absolutely delicious. The crispy fried chicken is cooked to perfection and not over done. The flavor was great(even the fried rice). Every time I am in this area I will order from this place. Both specials were ordered years apart and both were still just $ 4.99! This place is GREAT!

The food was good. I’m pretty sure they just warmed up my chicken in the deep fat dryer and tossed it in some sauce. It tasted good, so no complaints.

I give two stars. 1 for the rice. 1 for the badass lomein. Terrible customer service lmao. Everyone there hates their job and everyone looks depressed. Always always F up the order. Make sure you check your food before you go. Make sure you plan to wait 20 min for your«to-go» order. Make sure your expectations for customer service is low. Truth is, the food is great. I just wish I didn’t have to talk to the employees to get it.

Cheap, Chinese food here that is consistently good. We typically get the orange chicken, beef broccoli, steamed wontons and egg rolls. All are good all the time! The portions are Texas size y’all, you definately get your money’s worth! It takes a bit for the food to get out, but that’s because it’s made fresh and is piping hot when you get it. Love the China Bowl and definately recommend. This is the one ON Garland road, not the one around the corner on Jupiter. We’ve tried that one too, once… enough said. I recommend China Bowl, especially if you’re budget minded. Open late’ish too.

My «chowmein» only had onions, cabbage, and tomatoes with no other vegetables, which is not really a chowmein I think. Usually really like Rice Bowl, but I think I’ll just have to stick to the other location for now.

Halloween night, and moving day, tired, and hungry I spotted this place on my last trip to my new place so I made a quick U turn and went it. I have to say this was the best Chinese food I’ve had in one of these fast food type places. I got the Garlic Chicken, it was hot, spicy, sweet, just great flavor with fried rice at a very reasonable price. There was enough food that I had two meals out of it. I liked it so much I looked up to see if there was another location near my new place, there is an I will be checking it out soon!

I love China Bowl– great cheap Chinese takeout with the convenience of a drive-thru. Food always fresh & portions are very large. I love their Egg Drop soup.

Tried the sesame chicken there last night. Chicken was okay, but had been sitting around so it was no longer crispy on the outside. Broccoli was fresh and excellent. Fried rice left something to be desired. It was bland, tasted like soy sauce was just waved over it when it was in the pan with the oil. Egg rolls were okay, just what you would expect for $ 1. Best thing about this establishment is their speed. I didn’t wait more than 5min for my togo order. If you are in need of a quick supper, they will get it to you fast. Overall, would go back. Would try something else next time. Maybe lemon chicken.

I’ve been going to this place since they opened and took over the building when China Bowl buit a new place across the street. I give the a five on food and a zero(if there was one) on customer service. At first I would have given them 5 stars but the longer they are open the more attitude they have(and that is not including the general attitudes of the cashiers). First they decided you had to pay for every packet of extra sauce. Then they decided it was $ 1 if you wanted Thai red peppers in you entrée. OK, I *might* go .50 but I am not paying $ 1 for less than a penny worth of dried peppers. As of last month they close when they want. They post that they close at 10:30 on weekends but only offer to go after 10:00(or any other time they decide to make up). I went at 10:00 and tried to go in to get to order to go the door was locked but the open sign was on(they’re open another 30 minutes, right?). I get in my car and go to drive through and they are closed — «cleaning kitchen». Weeknights they close at 10 but last week they were closed at 9:40. Actually, they have some of the best cheap fast food Chinese I’ve ever eaten but I will never go back because of the attitude. If you want to support that and can go early in the day it is very very good.
