I frequent Rush nearly every weekend for one main reason. Cheap drinks served by cool bartenders(shout out to Ramón). I know this will add to my reputation as a booze hound but seriously, people where else can you get $ 2 drinks every night of the week including weekends? Answer, really just Rush. Yes the interior is basically like what I would think a seedy S&M club in the bowels of NYC would look like(I get that from Law In Order: SVU not personal experience btw). But if you have a good group of friends head to Rush have a few drinks before you head out on the strip. Another, great benefit you can just walk the two blocks to the strip if you are in need of a scene change. They have an giant awesome patio upstairs and also a pool table if you’re looking to do some husslin’ of the pool variety of course. I also really like the music you know top 40 shake your junk type stuff. I wouldn’t say that Rush is a place you’re going to find the man of your dreams but if you’re with a group of friends hit it up and I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

Drinks here are wicked. Bartenders and bus boys are not only nice to look at, they’re nice. DJ Ronnie was ultra ultra the night that i went. Woah… lets leave it at that. The rest I can’t remember and some I want to forget. xox

Rush is bad, scary, wild and titilating like the Las Vegas strip. Not on my Dallas gay bar short list. Bartenders serve in underwear. The upstairs patio is spacious and has a good view of Lemmon.

This is one if my favorite clubs when I go out with the boys! They love a good game of pool and Rush provides the perfect surroundings. We usually have the upstairs to ourselves with it’s own seating and tables, tv’s and the pool table. Good drink prices and patio upstairs are also a plus!

Well Mr. T., I’m sorry to hear that you won’t be returning to Rush, because I dig it! Of course, a straight girl at a gay bar probably feels INFINITELY more comfortable than a straight guy at a gay bar, so I’ll give you that one… I’ve begun a handful of Friday/Saturday nights at Rush over the past couple months, and I’ve never had a bad time. I wish making friends in the real world was as easy as it is here, populated by such kindly, fabulous folk! The nuts(pun totally intended) and bolts of Rush are as follows: the drink specials are killer– I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than 15 bucks here, and that was mostly tip. So if nothing else, Rush is a great place to start the evening before heading to your next hot spot. The scantily clad bartenders are cuties pies– I know they wouldn’t give the vaginated patrons a second glance, but you won’t hear me complaining about the dress code! The space lends itself to all kinds of moods and group sizes– big couches and a patio for large or small groups, a big ol’ bar to park yourself at, and several rooms where various events go on all week. They don’t spare the volume on the music, so be prepared to shout if you’re with more than a couple people. But, hey, a soar throat at the end of an night out clubbin is a sign of a good time, so why not get started at the onset? Overall, a fine establishment in a stellar location.
