HA! Stephen K. hit the nail on the head with his description. Imagine a store with every unnecessary decoration, embroiderer toilet cover or mug with the clever «over 50» cartoon on it, then you’re in the right spot. Still not sure? Just look behind the counter at the 2 – 3 ladies yapping it up about the kids, the car, the husband or last night’s episode of «Real Housewives of… where ever».
All kidding aside, there are some pretty interesting gifts in this place a classic «go to» for birthday gifts for mom, grandma or any other special woman in your life.
The staff is friendly but again, are often so wrapped up in their own conversations, it can be hard to distract one of them long enough to answer a questions. Maybe start with «You know, I saw this on Oprah (Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil) today…»
Cash, credit cards and maybe hormone replacements all taken here. Conveniently located in the Casa Linda Shopping center.

This Sample House has been around for years. My ex worked here at one time, and some of the same people are still there. Very friendly… homey type of place. The candles are great… plenty of different choices. They make buying gifts for mother’s day types of holidays pretty easy. Fairly big selection of cards, wind chimes, knick knacks. Some kid’s books and toys, cookbooks, miscellany. I bought a nice picture frame one time. Got a wicker basket type thing just now as I was picking up a few greeting cards that I needed. There’s a Starbuck’s next door in one direction and the Maddox Shop in the other in case you’re in the mood for a custom-​fitted super-​bra. Yes, this place definitely has that 50 year old post menopausal mom from the country kind of style but there’s something comforting in that isn’t there?
