Heard a ton about this place and decided to try it out. Didn’t know what to expect when I pulled through the drive thru. I was quite surprised by the many options that are available. I decided to get the southwestern chicken salad and the new preztel sandwich that was pretty tasty along with a massive cinnabon. Only problem was that they forgot my chips and drink. However the food was pretty tasty for a fast food chain. I will definitely go back to try either their flatbread a different sandwich.

Lots of new stuff on the menu, but there is still nothing as good as the original Schlotzsky’s sandwich.(: Why change perfection?

Fantastic place with fast good sandwiches. Got the chicken siesta sandwich which was awesome. I am new to Texas and did not realize how big the portions are. Fyi the small is equivalent to a normal size sandwich anywhere else in the US and a medium soda is the size of a Large anywhere else. Service is fast and efficient. Make sure to check in on Unilocal to get the free small(regular size honestly) sandwich

Well I’ll be dang… I was surprised. I thought this place was just another sandwich shop where you get a loaf of bread with just a slice of turkey in the middle. This spot is right next to Taco Bell and I just couldn’t do taco mystery meat for lunch. I ended up here and it even took me a few minutes to decide on my order because can you believe it … I had options! I ended up with a half salad and half pasta meal. Which was more than half to me because I even took some of my meal to go. The Cajun chicken pasta was good, I could have done with out the sausage that was mixed in but oh well. The avocado turkey salad was good and pretty. The turkey was in cubes which likely screams this processed meat was probably over processed. Hey it’s still a chain spot you expect total perfection, but I liked it over all. The dining area was clean and there is a patio. Overall great place for me to get away from coworkers.

Great experience. Wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted so the cashier recommended a few things. Went with the ham and cheese pretzel dipper. Great sandwich. Fast food in a non fast food atmosphere.

Came to Schlotsky’s for lunch with some co-workers. I do like the diversity of the foods(many different sandwiches, salads, soups, sweets, and pizza). On the other hand, choosing an item was a bit overwhelming because of the many options(enter choice paralysis). I ended up getting a tuna sandwich. I would say it was a good, standard deli tuna sandwich, comparable to Subway and the like. I was jealous of my coworker that got a half pizza/half something… I felt like a better option would have been for me to get half a sandwich and today I also felt like a soup due to the polar vortex, even in Dallas! I must say that the prices were better than other delis/sandwich shops for the amount of food you get. So that is a definite plus! One thing I don’t like was when people kept coming to ask if they could take away our plastic dishes, except that some of the dishes were to-go containers with food in them. And this happened multiple times during this one sitting! So that was weird. The tables are also quite small(not up to Texas standards) making me feel like I was eating at a kiddie-size four person table. This is especially noteworthy given that I am a small guy to begin with!

Fast, friendly, and filling. They didn’t take their time, even with a packed restaurant, the cashier was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back for lunch.

I always get the original, 86 tomatoes. The bread is delicious. I always dip my sandwich in the hot sauce provided on every table. It’s really good. Clean, and conveniently located. Service is fast, friendly.

As I leave the concrete jungle of nondescript office buildings, old motels, and new strip clubs, near I35 and Mockingbird, after visiting my friends office, I couldn’t shake Larry, in a haze, and his diatribe about how the BP oil spill was referenced in Revelations as «seas turning black» and how Obama was going to become assassinated and become reborn as Satan. The pins and needles of paranoia set in as a cop tailgated me, so I quickly found myself at this Schlotzkys on the frontage road of freeway I35 to find respite. It somehow seemed healthier than Taco Bell next door. A mix of cookie cutter families post Sunday church and beautiful blonde single Texan girls populated the dining room, and somehow billowed a sense of good ol’ Americana comfort amidst the grim world chaos and the June heat. This Texas born chain, which started in Austin, is known for its signature buttery high carb sourdough bun, which can be used as a deli sandwich or a pizza. Eat a «Mediterranean» pizza on the buttery bread in this clean and new building, with freeway views, and see obese parents wearing T-shirts with phrases like«Got Ammo?». You’ll feel a suburban comfort and you’ll enjoy it more if you have a sense of humour.

This place smells like delish freshly baked bread around lunch time. It’s a good thing I like the smell of freshly baked bread ’cause I smell it for a good 20 minutes because the line is so long. I’m certain I could make a sandwich and eat it in that period of time. Of course, if I made a sandwich, I wouldn’t be in this ridiculously long line, cursing the people in front of me and trying to quiet my embarassingly loud, growling stomach. Yup, it’s all cyclical in my world. Anyhoo, I love this place. LOVE! They have lots of different types of bread which is always a plus. I love all of the chicken or turkey options on the jalapeño cheese bread. They also have delicious chips and the soda fountain has a yummy raspberry lemonade option. Fill half the glass with lemonade, top it off with raspberry lemonade, imagine it’s garnished with a little umbrella and that you’re sitting on a white sandy beach sipping your yummy beverage. Ok, who am I kidding? This place has good sandwiches and good drinks and for most Mondays(and Tuesdays and Wednesdays…) that’s good enough :)
