Enter this business at your own risk. Firstly, the dry cleaning done here is very good. The service however, provided by the counter person, Veronica and a workmate of hers, border on psychotic. This business is located in the Lakewood Shopping area by Liberty Burger. There is a sign directly in front of the business that claims the two parking spots for Signature Garment Care. And that’s understandable given the amount of restaurant parking in this particular parking lot. Besides Liberty, there are a few other eateries that can cause the parking lot to overfill. My wife has had run ins with Veronica about those parking spaces. But here’s the rub; my wife went into Signature Garment Care and Veronica said not to use either of the spots designated for SGC parking, because a van dropping off clothes needs them. Otherwise he doesn’t have a place to park. My wife said she was a customer of the cleaners and needed to use one of the spots to drop off or pick up clothes. Veronica went on to say use parking to the right next time you come. The next time my wife went to SGC, another worker ran out of the door to tell my wife that the spots are for Signature cleaners. My wife said she was a customer who was coming into the business. She showed the clothes in her hand as proof. Today my wife went back to pick up those clothes and encountered Veronica again. She went in and was the only customer in the store. Veronica acknowledged her, but turned away and went back to working on something without providing service. When a car pulled up in one of Signature’s spots though, Veronica stops what she is doing and runs out of the store to yell at the woman getting out of the car, to tell her those spots are for the cleaners only. And my wife was left alone in the store still waiting to be served. Veronica comes back in the store. My wife said, first I am made to wait then you run out of the store because you are more concerned with the parking spots than getting my clothes. At this point Veronica says my wife was rude. She went on to say she had other customers to take care of. Again, my wife was the only person in the place. Veronica admonished my wife by saying, «I told you the last time not to park in those spots!» My wife said if she was coming in to the cleaners she would park in either of those spots if they were open. Veronica became very hostile at this point. My wife asked for her clothes and the manger’s or owner’s name and contact information. We contacted the owner, but we feel nothing will change. When a customer spends money at an establishment, the last thing a person expects is hostility and rage.
