This place was amazing! It’s my first time ordering from here and I got delivery despite the negative reviews. I really wanted a ribeye or some good steak without paying a ton of money which sounds really unrealistic. When I came across Texans steak, it seemed to good to be true. I didn’t even have my hopes up but knew I couldn’t be picky because it’s an amazing price, and they deliver. I called in and the guy was super friendly. I requested my steak to be cooked rare because every time I’ve gotten steak as delivery, it’s always over cooked. Personally I love medium rare. The nice gentleman on the phone even commended me on eating my steak the right way! I also ordered steak tips and shrimp. Both the Ribeye and steak tips/shrimp comes with a salad and a choice of side and a roll. Is it the fanciest? No but can you really complain? You’ve already gotten the most bang for your buck with the protein alone, so people, be realistic ! I expected the delivery time to be a while but I can’t imagine it took more than 30 mins it was so fast. The ribeye was cooked PERFECTLY rare!!! I can’t imagine or justify going anywhere else for a ribeye and one that delivers, for that price! I’m almost hesitant to write this review because I don’t want the secret out. Thank you!!!

Food was great, delivery guy was sweet and helpful, yeah I like this place. Dessert(chocolate cake) was dry but nothing a little milk can help.

Don’t order delivery. Perhaps the dining experience is better, but my delivery experience was not.

this is a two-fold review. the first part comes from the amazing delivery service i received from Texan Steak. i live near East Grand and 30 and, surprise, folks don’t like to deliver to my house. there isn’t a pizza joint that will touch us(not even Dominoes or Pizza Hut, i know, i checked) and when i have paid more for«not fast food» delivery i have been shocked by how little the restaurants cared about me. one restaurant, which will remain unnamed leaves my food outside of my gate. they don’t even call to let me know it’s there sitting outside on my lawn!!! Chris at Texan Steak couldn’t find me so he called and stayed on the phone until we saw each other. He told me that now that he knew where i was he would have no further problem delivering. the second part of my review is obviously the food. my New York Strip was seasoned and cooked to perfection. the baked potato was hot and fluffy and the side salad was crisp and fresh. i called the restaurant to let them know how pleased i was and ended up on the phone with the general manager who remembered my name from my order and told me he personally cooked my steak. will be ordering again… Gosh, Texan Steak, you spoiling this girl!

Just ate a perfectly lovely ribeye from here. It was tender, juicy, and didn’t even have that weird part of the ribeye that I don’t usually like. Actually it was there, it just tasted perfect. The whole thing. I used to get one at Char Bar, but they are not ever that good. I like my food fresh so I really never get delivery anyway so my food was hot and delicious! So glad to find this place so close to my house :)

How do you ruin a BLT? 3 slices of bread, one slice of tomato and bacon that clearly isn’t all bacon. Almost no lettuce at all. The fried mushrooms didn’t come with any dressing and were over-fried. The cheesecake tastes like corn syrup. I threw it away. I could have gotten better food than this at the gas station.

I ordered the usual — a ribeye that comes with a baked potato, salad and a roll. I have ordered this 5+ times and each time a flavorful tender steak cooked to order has arrived. The salad and baked potato have always been good. What has been sketchy is delivery time with it sometimes taking 90 minutes and in one case after waiting for two hours I call and their response was they were not sure when it would be ready so I cancelled the order. Tonight, however, delivery time was EXCELLENT at 25 minutes and, As always, the food was very good. Valves for the steaks as I have not ordered anything other than that. I’m surprised to see the low rating.

The delivery driver tried to fight me… after eating the food, I know why.

I’ve had better food as a sample at sam’s club, EVERYTHING here comes out of a box… How do you run a restaurant like that? Eat24 is obviously the only reason this place is still in business. Horrible.

Awful. I knew it would take awhile for delivery. It said it would. Salad? It was all lettuce and one slice of a tomatoe. The wings look like they came from a pizza place. Fettucine with chicken looked like it was frozen and tasted like poor quality. Not at all saucey and chicken was burnt. I also received a roll. If that’s what you want to call it. It was flat, hard and tastless. Would rather starve then eat that food again.

I was thrilled to find a place that delivered something besides pizza or Chinese food, and that didn’t charge a huge delivery fee. That said … the food here is less than spectacular. The burger was good — it was actually grilled, not fried — but it came on a plain white-bread bun. The restaurant sent along a styrofoam container with a lettuce leaf(one) and a sad little tomato slice, and that was it. My husband ordered what was supposed to be a catfish filet but turned out to be really greasy fish sticks. There were a lot of them, and they were OK once he sopped the oil off, but they weren’t worth $ 13.50. They came with the tiniest baked potato I’ve ever seen(plain). Texan’s is OK if you absolutely don’t want to go out and want something besides the usual delivery fare. But don’t expect much.

I would not eat here again nor would I recommend this to anyone. It took them 2.5 hours to deliver. The food was at least warm. My chicken was not cooked all the way through it was still pink. Gross. If you think about getting their loaded fries I would think twice. They use bacon bits, the pink fake bacon bits you find at Walmart on the shelf in a jar. All the food tasted like frozen food from Sams or Costco. Definitely not worth it.

I have ordered delivery twice from this place. First, my food is always cold. Next, they do not put anything on their burgers or bring any condiments. The only reason for two stars is the silk pie was pretty good, but I bet it’s frozen.

Absolutely terrible experience. I have never asked for my money back before but did in this case.

The bold letters«TEXAN’S STEAK» adorn this small storefront just down from the Sonic on Ross. The interior is sparse with one table and an empty white counter. There’s no cash register, and the only menus are the take-home menus sitting on the counter. The odd interior coupled with the lack of AC(it was 102 today for Pete’s sake) made this place hardly inviting to diners, so I opted for a to-go order. The menu lists various cuts of steak along with grilled chicken for reasonable prices, but I went for the combo(beef & chicken) fajitas for two. They were described as «Southern Style» on the menu, whatever that means. When I got them home, I was happy to see that they hadn’t been slathered in cream gravy. Neatly packed in a styrofoam container was a stack of flour tortillas, a bundle of meat and peppers along with various toppings. The meat was well seasoned with a heavy dose of oregano, and the bits of meat had been cooked on a griddle. While it wasn’t traditional grilled and sliced steak,(it’s Southern Style after all) it was tender, juicy and delicious. I’d get them again. The Iraqi owner assured me that I would enjoy the ½ pound burger, but he couldn’t explain why traditional lamb skewers from his homeland were not offered.
