Eclectic donuts. Not just traditional mom & pop donut shop. Fast service. Great coffee.

I’ve only been here on the weekends, never during the week. I am going to have to give it another shot during the week to try and avoid some of the rude customers. The staff was very pleasant, but the customers have deterred me thus far. If you like cake doughnuts, this is your place. The doughnuts are extremely rich and dense. The doughnuts are not your light and fluffy puffs. One doughnut is about all the richness I can take. With that being said, the fun flavored are delicious and I’ve never had a doughnut I didn’t like. But, what’s not to love about doughnuts. Did I mention doughnuts? TL;DR –Great doughnuts, crappy customers.

I really need a half star here. 2.5 stars. I wanted to like this place. It’s close, although I pass that«S» word place on the way. Anyway, what’s in a name? in this case, not much. I don’t understand it and I don’t know why anyone would want a «hand forged» doughnut. I had a cake doughnut(I’ve had better out of a box from the grocery) and a coffee, with me it’s always about the coffee. I go to a lot of coffee places. I don’t think of myself as a coffee snob but, I know what I like. Unfortunately, it’s not their french press coffee. The staff deserves all of the stars. They are very nice and seem to enjoy what they do.

Brought a friend here to obviously try the doughnuts and coffee. The Americanos were strong and tasty. For doughnuts, we split 4 between 3 of us: chai spice, original glazed, peppermint, and maple. We each had a different favorite, mine being the original glazed. Great place to grab coffee and delicious doughnuts!

Good donuts. Super rich. They should probably issue you a glass of milk with each one.

Super cute donut shop with top service. I promised my nephew that I would bring him a chocolate sprinkle donut and completely forgot until this afternoon. Thanks to Unilocal, this place was on the way and was still open late afternoon. The man who answered the phone said most of the kiddie ones with sprinkles were gone but he’d double check on the back. When I arrived he has two made fresh for me and remembered me from the call. I picked up a coffee as well and was pleased with the quality, speed and service. Great find!

Just had the most ridiculous experience ever in a «coffee shop». Small line at 9:45 — simply ordered a 12oz drip. She states it will take 3 minutes — ok… After 8 minutes I approach the counter to only find they forgot. This is a coffee shop — not busy and no apology. I left. I’m all for small businesses as I own a few — this was absurd! Poorly trained staff and just a silly excuse for a coffee shop. Starbucks bound

According to the name of the shop, Doughnuts serve a big purpose at this place, but since they don’t have any vegan options in that category, my review is solely based on the coffee. :( This Top Pot location is top notch. The dining area is very large and always very clean! There is a nice book shelf on display, where you can also purchase various mugs and t shirts. Of course, the glass case packed with fresh donuts are on display beneath the counter. The part that really catches my attention is the additional outdoor seating. A nice patio to relax and enjoy your beverage! I ordered a latte and asked for almond milk. They don’t have almond milk. I guess I’m getting my coffee shops mixed up because I could have sworn they did at some point, but I was wrong. They do have soy and rice milk options though. I ordered a soy latte and was very pleased with it. I ordered a Americano on one of my first trips there, and their espresso was on point. Their other beverages are on the same level, my latte was top notch. No complaints at all. Great service, great coffee, and great atmosphere. It’s out of the way for me, but I heard a rumor that they are opening one down in Victory Park soon. I hope they hurry if they do!

I want this place to be good so I went back today for a second time just to see if my first experience was a fluke. I got an assorted dozen for the office. It was a mix of old fashioneds, cake donuts, and a couple filled donuts. All of the old fashioned donuts were disappointing. They lack that crisp edge that it should have. The only redeeming quality was the maple icing on one was very good. The cinnamon sugar cake was ok, the blueberry cake lacked enough blueberry flavor. Most of them tasted as though they baked one large batch early in the morning and just let them sit throughout the day instead of baking fresh every couple hours. The cost for the quality is also a reason I won’t come back. $ 20 for a dozen donuts, I would expect better. If you want super fresh, high quality donuts with innovative flavors you should definitely go to Hypnotic Donuts and skip this spot.

I’m giving this place 5 starts for coming in clutch for my roommates and me even though they were closed. We thought they closed at 8 per their website, so imagine our disappointment when we came shortly after their apparently new closing time at 6. Not the best start to our self proclaimed donut adventure. We stood around for a while, trying to decide where else we could go, when who we thought was the manager stepped outside and offered us a whole box of donuts that had been forgotten by a customer. Jackpot. The donuts were so yummy. They don’t have as much of a cake-like texture as I expected but I still really liked it. My favorite was the blueberry one and the all chocolate one. The salted caramel was a little too sweet but otherwise good. Thanks for the surprise, top pot! Yall made our day.

This is one of those times I wish I had remembered to take a picture but gobbled up my doughnut so quickly, I simply forgot. Not only does this place have top-notch doughnuts, but has fantastic coffee as well. I got an old-fashioned glazed chocolate cake doughnut and an iced vanilla latte. Probably one of the best doughnuts I’ve ever had and the coffee was pretty great as well. Not only was the food fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly. I’m a firm believer that customer service makes or breaks an experience and the staff was attentive, helpful, and nice. Definitely a business I want to continue to support! My only con– I wish there was some more seating available. It’s definitely a «doughnut to go» place because there is almost no seating inside or outside. We had to take our food and eat it in the car due to lack of seating :( Otherwise– two thumbs up!

How is this place so busy!!! Walked in and there’s tons of people. I’m thinking great, it must be good coffee. Large iced coffee, just coffee nothing fancy which was 20oz and an «old fashioned» doughnut. I asked for a buttermilk donut, which is what most people call it, and she kept asking me what kind of doughnut. I pointed to the actual doughnut, and said buttermilk, then I read the sign which said«old fashioned». I said old fashioned and finally I she got my doughnut. No big deal, not worth a bad review, but then she said my total was $ 5.83. Immediately I said, how much? After signing the receipt I wanted to give the stuff back. Was this the best coffee and doughnut I ever had? Absolutely Not! Coffee was good and so was the doughnut but there’s no way to justify the price! The worst part was, the girl behind the register was saying all the right customer lingo, but with a smug/snooty undertone. I paid for the drastically overpriced coffee and doughnut, but the attitude put me over the edge! Last she never told me where to get my coffee. I guess I should have known somehow, but even when they made it, they just sit it down and said large coffee. I picked it up and said I guess this is mine. No response or even eye contact. Top Pots? More like Crap Costs!

First and foremost, BIG ++ for the underground parking for rainy days dallas has been getting the past couple of weeks. Doughnuts were«meh» is the best way I can describe them. If you like cake doughnuts then this is the place for you. I ordered a good variety, blueberry with cinnamon sugar, chocolate glazed, chocolate boa, caramel sea salt, regular glazed and cinnamon sugar. I found them to be boring, some overly sweet that I could barely take more than one bite of some. My favorite out of they group was the blueberry with cinnamon sugar though and would probably just order that next time. The ovaltine latte was probably the highlight of my morning. It brought me back to my childhood and am not a big mocha person because I find them to be too sweet(ahem Starbucks) but was a nice twist on your regular latte. Will I be back? Probably not … if you like to live dangerously through your doughnuts then this place isn’t the place for you. Unless you just want a sugar rush …

Great place to grab coffee and donut even in the late afternoon, they open till 6pm. Staff are very friendly. I almost want to say their coffee is better than their donuts until I tried their blubbery cake. It’s not as sweet as some other ones they have. And I went to one of their free coffee seminar. Great way to learn about different kinds of coffee and try them for free. Loved it!

Was so looking forward to going here since the Top Pot Donuts in Seattle is well known. I think their motto is: Let’s keep the Sugar companies in business. Way too sweet. They need to turn it down like 10 notches. Also, do they need to make that dining room into a fridge? Never felt so cold.

I generally tend to like places that open before 7AM just for that reason alone. I’ve been in to try a doughnut here and there and also grab coffee. Price is noticeably higher than your mom and pop doughnut joint, but if you prefer the thicker, cake type donuts, then top pot is worth a shot. One of my stops was totally attributed to the Musers, they announced they were doing a live broadcast here, which was neat(read: nerdy) to sit and listen to them for a bit. A couple of extra points for being a P1.

If you can’t get to Seattle, head to the newest Top Pot location on Hillcrest Avenue in Dallas. Their chocolate glaze is amazing, almost like a ganache. And if you’re a fan of cake donuts, get the Chocolate Sandcastle(cinnamon-sugar chocolate cake). Cold brew is decent, as well.

Came in to see what the hype is about. The place is nice and clean. Donuts are large but too much dough. They are pretty looking donuts but not as tasty as the mom and pops shop. However the coffee here is great. I would definitely come back for coffee. The mocha is not too sweet.

Even though this place had only opened recently, and it being a weekend early morning with a light drizzle, there was still a short line, hinting at the very real probability that it will be packed on other days. While the doughnuts were delicious, both the double chocolate trouble and the raspberry-chocolate donut, the ovaltine latte, which i gathered was supposed to be their unique specialty, was lacking in anything resembling flavor(not even coffee!) and was bland. Would i go again? Probably to try more of their wide variety of doughnuts, but will steer clear of the ovaltine latte(which is also more expensive than most other drinks, so BOO). Just a note: the location has parking in the building/shop complex it is in, and has ample indoor and outdoor seating.
