Worst experience EVER!!! Ordered cakes last minute because when you’re a mom of triplets it’s not easy getting things done. I called Unrefined Bakery in Rockwall to make three cakes but since their cake decorator was out of town they transferred my order to another location #unrefinedbakery made THEWORSTCAKES I’ve ever seen. Then they wouldn’t refund my $ 210.00!!!

Vegan cupcakes are delicious and beautifully constructed. Going in for the first time was a little confusing the way it was set up but the lady behind the counter was very helpful. 4 stars because i asked for the cupcakes and she had to leave the counter and get them out of a freezer so I couldn’t pick them out myself.

Went here with my fiancé for cake tasting. Having sampled 5 of their different flavors, I have to admit, this place has got some great tasting, gluten– and dairy-free baked goods, some of the best I’ve ever tried! They accommodated us very well, the whole experiencing being $ 12.50/plate. I don’t know if the sample plate is exclusively for prospective wedding clients, but I was quite pleased with the setup, and will certainly return in the future.

I love this bakery! Fortunately, we don’t need to come here for allergies or other intolerances, but we choose to for our occasional treats because it’s so good! My toddler loves the cupcakes, husband loves the mix, and I love the rusks. It’s a bit expensive, but I think it’s worth paying more for the best ingredients and products made by real people who care about those who depend on their food to live a somewhat normal digestive life. You can also always have something on hand from UB for your gluten free friends and family, and they will be so pleased. Give them a try!

unrefined, raw and organic… even the restroom smell We have been there a couple of times, I have to admin the cupcake that we had was great and moist. The sad part was when we had to use the restroom. There was a smell of open sewer all on the long hall leading to the bathroom. We asked the attendant about it., and just say«you mean the smell yes it has smell like that for a while now. It keeps coming back » I don’t care how good and healty your stuff is, that kind of pumbling problem can lead to food contamination. In addition that you have to stand by the counter and wait for people to stop doing what they are doing to take your order, because nobody is able to acknowledge you are waiting to be helped. They are not very fast. They should add a bell to call their attention.

Bought 2 cupcakes for a vegan friend on his birthday. I got there pretty much around the time they opened thinking there would be plenty of choices. They were out of one of the kinds he wanted and had to pull it out of the freezer and microwave it for me.(Nothing fancy, just chocolate. $ 4 for 1 cupcake… it’s no sprinkles

After I eat this cookie I’m going to pan for gold later. We stopped in this morning thought we’d try a couple cookies and get a couple bags of an attractive looking snack mix. 9 cookie + 2 snack bags = $ 41. Are you kidding me? Their stuff is good, but $ 41 good? No way. I will have to develop a serious case of celiac before I come back here. Also, the snack Mix is spicy. It would be nice to mark that.

I just discovered WFB or Wholesome Food Bakery in the shopping center behind the Green Spot! The aroma of fresh baked gluten-free and allergy friendly bread filled the air! They carry vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free, yeast-free, sugar-free, corn-free breads, buns, muffins, and more! Whatever your allergy is they have a delicious product that will fit your needs! I found heaven! I wish I had found them earlier! I live so close!

Got my birthday cake from here coz I wanted an eggless cake. They quoted me $ 45, I was asked to pay $ 55. Wouldn’t have minded paying extra if it had tasted good. Everybody was so excited about the cake coz we had heard so much hype about the bakery. But nobody ate a 3rd spoonful and half of my cake was down the trash uncut. The bread was very dry, the icing tasted of sugar and sugar alone(almost bitter coz it was too sweet), the raspberry filling was pointless and not well made either(grainy, chunky and dry). The decoration was okay… kinda elegant but a bit boring(light light brown icing and white dotted sides and happy birthday written on top). Next birthday, I’ll learn to bake my own cake.

Went in at 5:45pm, grabbed a smoothie and just sat down to drink a little of it before heading to the gym(which is next door). The girl at the counter says«you all know we close at 6 right?» I looked at my cell and saw it was 6:04. Then I asked«are you kicking us out!?» And she said«no but I need to mop that is the only problem.» Speechless I grabbed my drink and headed to the gym. That is no way to treat a customer. I was happy that this place was next door to the gym I go to often, but I will never go here again! So if it’s 5:45pm-6pm, be sure you just grab your drink and go out the door or else you’ll be kicked out!

This is easily a five star bakery with no question. I stopped by here on a whim today and I’m so glad I did. I had their turkey sandwich with paleo bread and a vegan chocolate cupcake. The sandwich was straightforward, simple, and delicious. Well worth the value. The cupcake on the other hand was amazing, without a doubt one of the best cupcakes in the DFW area. It was surprisingly moist considering it was vegan, and the flavor and sweetness was on point. I have certain GI restrictions and each time I eat a cupcake from other stores I get a little tummy ache, and they always end up not being worth the sacrifice. This place on the other hand I had a cupcake and a cookie, and no tummy ache! Weather you are paleo, vegan, or anything in between, you will not regret coming here.

This is not only the best gluten-free bakery I’ve ever been to, it’s the best bakery of any kind. Even before my celiac diagnosis, I had never tasted cake so good! That’s why we chose Unrefined for our wedding cake! They did an amazing job, as usual. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful!

The cupcakes and breads here are absolutely delicious. I’ve dabbled in gluten free and you won’t believe that their treats are actually healthy. I’m leaving a 4 star review because the prices are just a little too high IMO.

Decided to visit this bakery on a whim. We happened to be in the area for other business and wanted a treat that would not be too heavy, so we made a quick detour to Unrefined. We walked in around 10:15AM and thought that maybe we came in the service entrance. We were greeted by workers in the back. Someone came out to serve us and we realized that this WAS the bakery. There wasn’t much of a store front, other than a small display case with some cupcakes and a freezer full of frozen baked goods. We were quite disappointed not to find more fresh items like a normal bakery would have. After some questions to the friendly front gal, we decided to go with the carrot and the lemon cupcake. To our chagrin, the price was $ 4 per cupcake, so $ 8 total. Pretty expensive for such small cupcakes. My wife was in a low blood sugar mood, so she started on her cupcake right away. She got happy while eating it and said that it was pretty good. I tried the carrot cupcake. It was okay. I didn’t taste any difference between a regular carrot cake and this gluten-free version, so I guess it was a success? But, it was not so amazing that I would pay $ 4 and drive out of my way to eat it again. So, I will probably never come back here for the following reasons: –poor selection and display –lack of freshly baked items –really high prices I understand this is a niche bakery and they charge a premium. I have no problem paying money for good food, but I just didn’t feel that the cupcake was worth it.

I have been here many times. I used to workout next door, and my daughter currently attends ballet next door to them. I have had their coffee, cake balls, bread, muffins, and nut mix. My favorite things are the 5-grain bread and the kombucha tea(my absolute fav)! The bread is so good and dense – what you’d want and expect from a GF or Paleo bread. The muffins are gooey and sweet. The coffee was pretty good, too. I am in agreement with the notion that the outdated plastic bins need to go. With three stores, I am sure they can afford to get some cute new plates to accompany their cute and delicious food. I also was overcharged for muffins one trip there. I didn’t make a fit, I just got the muffins I was overcharged for.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. I absolutely adore this little shop. I have tried so many different things and have loved them all. They always have amazing specialty cupcakes which vary each week. However, they always have the loaded monkey, which is my go to favorite. Their salted caramel pistachio is my latest favorite, however. It’s not so much on the sweet side. I eat mostly paleo but these are worth the cheat. I’ve also tried their paleo bread and morning glory muffins, which are both amazing. I live having the muffins on hand as a grab and go breakfast. Other than that I’m always good with anywhere that carries Holy Kombucha or offers almond milk to go with your coffee. Definitely a must try place for the health conscious.

Although I have no issues with gluten, I find myself religiously consuming two slices of Unrefined bread before every marathon and half-marathon race. That’s when I realized they’re doing something right: the healthy, high-quality products appeal to all palates, not just the gluten-intolerant.There’s a variety of bread catering to every diet from simply gluten-free to paleo, but the 5-grain is my favourite: it’s delicious as a plain snack with jam/nut butter, or as a sandwich bread. Their cupcakes are THEBEST in town — even better than the gluten-rich stuff. I think the secret lies in the use of all natural/organic ingredients, even the sugar: the icing tastes light and sweet, but not cloyingly so. The cake itself is fluffy despite being gluten-free. And there’re so many layers of flavours that complement each other. Ditto for their coffee cake loaves — if they weren’t so expensive, I’d have them for breakfast every morning. They make themed cakes and pies for holidays(Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, …). They’re available for pre-order and always a huge hit at potlucks. It’s wonderful how many different products they make that are also dairy-, nut-, soy-, corn-, and/or sugar-free. And they all still taste good!

I really enjoyed going to Unrefined. I loved it so much that I went there every day while I was in Dallas, Texas. The first time I was there, I was lucky because there were not many people there. The owner, the daughter of the mother-daughter team, took a lot of time to talk to me about the products. She also gave me a lot of samples so I could taste the breads, cakes and snack mix. The first time I was there I got a few sandwiches. They were delicious. The second time I went, I brought my friends and we tried all the cupcake flavors. All of them! The mother, of the mother daughter team, helped cut all of the cupcakes into pieces for us so we could share them. She asked us later to rate them for her. I really loved that because she really wanted to know what we thought. I think that shows that they have a lot of love and pride in their work. I think it also shows that they want to make people happy with their food. The winner of the cupcake contest was actually the sticky bun. We loved it. In addition to breads, cakes and snacks, they also make wonderful latte. I can’t wait to go back.

I found this place through a coworker and had to check it out! My husband is interested in Paleo, so I wanted to try the Paleo bread. They offer a sandwich bar with chips, cookie and bottled water for around $ 10. I had smoked turkey, havarti cheese and avacado on Paleo bread. They toast it up for you, which is a nice touch! The cookies had a nice flavor but I found the texture to be a little gritty at times. Not bad, just not what I’m used to. The Paleo bread must be popular because the lady that came in before me bought all 6 loaves! I was told by the staff that if I came back in a bit, they’d have some fresh loaves. Maybe i’ll stop by after work!
