I love cold brewed coffee and this is the best place I’ve had it at so far! It is a little pricey at $ 4 for a cup but you definitely get what you pay for. No experience with their breakfast foods because let’s face it… they are not going to be healthy so I stay away. The cashier or whatever they are called at coffee places was nice and had a smile when she greeted me. Definitely recommend and will be back soon!

Not only do they serve the most delicious coffee/espresso in town, the baristas are far and away the best. They are the perfect balance of friendly and efficient. You’ll always be greeted with a smile when you go to Weekend. This is my favorite spot in the DFW area.

So unbelievably disappointed in my experience. I work on the marketing team for a company that was wanting to do a collaboration with Weekend Coffee. They has asked me to go check it out before contacting them and I can tell you, my experience was so negative I never want to go back. The woman at the counter looked so nice, but she definitely was not(to me at least)…I had many questions about products and beverages and her responses were so degrading. To make a customer feel stupid is just so rude.

This is another of the many nice local coffee shops in the area. Unlike most of the other local coffee shops I frequent(which tend to be more hipster) Weekend Coffee has a very modern and contemporary feel to it. A big part of this is due to the fact that Weekend Coffee resides inside The Joule Hotel. While the official address for The Joule is on Main Street, Weekend Coffee is located on the ‘back side’ which can be entered from Commerce Street. As for their coffee, they brew a very nice cup of java. I have also had the chance to try their cappuccino which was very nice too. Another good thing about Weekend Coffee is they brew their own Cold Brew and bottle it. That’s right, they bottle it. It’s easily some of the best Cold Brew I’ve had. Note, it sells out fairly quickly so if Cold Brew is your coffee of choice, stop by earlier in the day. Weekend Coffee is a great spot to come and enjoy a cup of coffee and chat(quietly) with friends. Because it’s located on the main level of the hotel, there can be traffic at times and because of this I would not attempt to come here and work or study. This makes a decent spot to people watch. As the name implies, Weekend Coffee will continue to be my rotation of coffee shops to stop by on weekend or any other day that I’m away from the office.

Atmosphere was cool and what was a city hotel lobby– The Joule. Cool place to relax as a single or with a group. Options in same area offered a bookstore, art store, and a cocktail bar– something for every taste and thirst. Coffee was good and fresh — certainly better than the mermaid offerings.

Great cold brew, very good vegetarian sandwich — avocado, cucumber, sprouts and provolone on whole grain bread. The only decent coffee shop I found in downtown Dallas. Ample seating and wifi because it’s in the lobby of a hipster hotel.

I stopped in for a quick espresso in the afternoon. Had an excellent espresso. Single shot done very elegantly with a side shot of carbonated water. The way it supposed to be done I would put this in my top five espressos throughout the world that I’ve tried. If your A coffee snob the best espresso shot I’ve ever had is Bluebottle coffee in San Francisco. The next best is Dichotomy coffee in Waco Texas. And the third is CREMA in Nashville then Acention in Dallas. All are essentially neck and neck.

Great coffee shop inside the joule. It has a feel of being intimate inside of a hotel. The coffee shop itself doesn’t have many places to sit but there’s plenty of room in the lobby. If you order the Californian plan on being awake all night from all the espresso shots!

This is a fun little coffee shop(emphasis on little!) in the lobby of the Joule hotel. There’s no outside signage, which makes it difficult to find at first, and I had to ask the doorman if I was in the right place. The décor is chic, sleek and modern. It almost feels like a café in a fancy museum. It’s on the pricier side($ 3.79 for an Iced Americano) but the coffee is yummy. The baristas were smiling and friendly and even though they got my order wrong initially they fixed it right away. The seating area sprawls out into the lobby, and it’s not immediately clear if the many people seated at the multitude of tables, chairs and couches are patrons of the café or the hotel(several people had luggage at their feet). It’s a nice place to escape the heat and enjoy a cold drink in a posh environment. There weren’t many pastries when I arrived in the late afternoon, but I’d certainly be interested to come back and try one of their waffles.

The boyfriend and I came here to get a couple americanos and some pastries this morning. The café is inside a hotel lobby and is very trendy looking. They have tables and couches right outside the café to sit and relax in. This place had great reviews so we were excited to try it. The baristas were very cheerful and nice and attended to us right away. We saw on Unilocal that they were famous for their soft-boiled egg biscuit thing, but when we asked about it they told us it had been«discontinued.» So we went with their regular buscuit and croissant. The biscuit was good but the croissant was very dry… crazy huh? You’d think it would’ve been the other way around. Anyways, moving on to the americanos. They both tasted watered down and like day old coffee. We were not very impressed.

Small place inside of an office building, across from a boutique. There were some comfy bar stools and a few newspaper options for those so inclined. They didn’t have much in the way of pastries/snacks, just some croissants and breakfast burritos, which I didn’t try, but did settle on the cold brew coffee. The coffee was really good, no bitterness and they even offered agave syrup as a sweetener. I always appreciate coffee shops that do cold brew well and this one didn’t disappoint!

Downtown Dallas is slowly stealing my heart(wallet contents, gas, time… you name it) away. White + wooden accents, leather stitched seats with aqua metal lining, a glass paneled wall with a direct view of the upscale fashion + beauty shop across the corridor — ugh Weekend, stop being so perfect. There’s one long marble countertop that can seat up to 4 but no matter, there’s plenty more seating in the hip Joule lobby.(And of course the low buzz of conversation of cool Dallasites seamlessly complements the indie/alt/pop/rock playlist humming along in the background.) The small cashier counter boasts a pour over display and simple menu of drinks + pastries. Yes, drinks are on the expensive side but understandably since you’re paying for swank nation here. Lattes come in cute stone bottomed white mugs and the counter milk in ceramic milk jugs(seriously, the details). Baristas are chill. As if they didn’t need more of my money, Weekend also boasts a robust selection of goods for purchase — the magazines(kinfolk, gather, cereal, cherry bomb) and standard coffee brewing gear(chemex, slender spouted kettles, mugs) are tempting to say the least. And if I couldn’t end this on a happier note, FREEVALET. Word.

What distinguishes Weekend Coffee from much of the craft coffee places in the metroplex is its modern feel and boutique hotel location. A lot of the best coffee shops in the DFW are very hipster-ish and very committed to cultivating that kind of feel, but Weekend Coffee is very modern and dare i say chic when it comes to atmosphere. The place is in a hotel, so it’s not really one of those coffee shops where you can study, but whatever, if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee before you go about doing stuff in the city then Weekend Coffee is a good option. I think they’re the only shop in the metroplex(that I know of) that uses Victrola Coffee(from Seattle), which also sets them apart from the other DFW coffee shops. What’s cute about Weekend Coffee is that after they make their own cold brew overnight, they then bottle them – yes, they bottle them! Definitely another good coffee shop, so glad that there are more and more good places popping up in the metroplex!

Hello Unilocalers! I had a horrible experience at The Flying Horse. The coffee tasted so bad I threw out their coffee, walked ½ a block and stumbled into The Weekend. I ordered an iced cold brew and cappuccino. Both were delicious and had perfect sweetness. The shop is small but the location in the hotel is like an art gallery/museum. Perfect atmosphere and good service. Drink more and not less!

What a hidden gem! I really dig this place as it is located inside Joule Hotel. Not typically like to hangout at hotels for coffee but this is one exception. The modern luxury décor and relaxed atmosphere make you feel like you can come here unwind, read, work on your laptop or perhaps people watch. What is different about this coffee shop versus others is that it offers spacious area for you to sit quietly. I definitely can see myself coming here during the business hours to get some work done as opposed to working at the office with all the distractions. The coffee was great but the pastry could improve a little. The ham and cheese croissant was chewy and therefore I gave this place a four star.

Lacking the time-honored history of the hotel bar concept as of yet, Weekend Coffee is perhaps setting the trend as its early morning counterpart being an upscale coffee shop tucked within a luxury hotel in downtown Dallas. Flanked by a small art gallery, a Taschen bookstore, a boutique gift shop, and a cocktail bar, there is definitely a vibe of being too cool for school if one were to partake in a coffee+pastry sitting in the swanky Joule Hotel lobby. This is not your independent coffee house where one goes to cram for an exam within a cozy nook of solitary anonymity, but more so a place to people watch and be seen as you compose the latest entry on your style blog in regards to the top 5 methods to fold the perfect pocket square, hoping some beautiful onlooker happens to steal a glance at your screen and you catch them in the act and proceed to invite them to join you on the couch to partake in a few shots of Guatemalan single source expresso. Just as the great hotel bars synergize style with substance with an impressive array of signature drinks and décor, Weekend Coffee is no slouch when it comes to their java with the entrance lined by two impressive Kyoto cold brew drip towers, a row of brew rails, and a chalk board of specials highlighting specific beans and drinks including the Gibraltar, which I’m thinking the cool kids are now calling the Cortado these days. I opted for the mocha, since I’m a snobby chocoholic so anytime a barista specifies using local artisan chocolate(in this case Dallas’ Dude, Sweet Chocolate) rather than syrup from a pump, I am usually compelled to give it a try. The mocha was perfectly balanced with the rich expresso flavor playing the lead leaving a subtle velvety bittersweet chocolate note harmonizing in the background. Had I not had such a full breakfast down the hall at CBD Provisions(more on this in a future review), I would have opted to pair my mocha with a Belgian street waffle, croissant, or house made pop tart. Granted the prices are above average for coffee and snacks, the piffling price of admission to live a brief daydream within this little idyll of high society is well worth it.

Thanks for existing, Weekend Coffee! My caffeine fix wasn’t met at another coffee hot spot in Dallas, so I ventured over to Weekend Coffee by a happy coincidence that I wanted to stop by Ten Over Six(which is only across the hall from Weekend Coffee in The Joule). I hesitantly ordered a second cup for the day and ended up very satisfied and happy with the iced vanilla latte here. Weekend Coffee is tucked away inside The Joule in a cute little space. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice. Outside of the coffee shop is a huge seating area.

Weekend(Coffee) is located in the lobby of the Joule hotel in downtown Dallas. I’ve been here a couple of times, and they are perfectly consistent. I love the cappuccinos here. The fresh squeezed juices are also really good, but way too pricey($ 4.50 for orange juice) to get again. As for the food, their baked goods are really, really good. My biscuit was big and fluffy, and it came with butter and jam. Delicious! My boyfriend got the quiche, and it was perfect! Moist but not soggy. Most quiches I’ve had at coffee shops are way too dry, but this wasn’t the case at all. The Belgian street waffle is so sweet that it’s almost more of a dessert than a breakfast food. I actually was lured in here by a photo of their egg & biscuit… but they’ve taken them off the shelves for now. Bring them back, pleaase! I must try it! The only con is that it’s unnecessarily expensive. Otherwise, I’d stop by here every day! Tip: Come here early if you want any food because they run out quick! I came here during lunch, and they only had 2 quiches left…

I went to get a cup of craft coffee and ended up getting a fun peek at the high-end lifestyle. Being that Weekend Coffee is part of the expansive Joule hotel lobby, there are beautiful lounge areas all around the coffee shop that are available to Weekend customers. There’s also free wifi and stores filled with artistic knick-knacks(TenOverSix) and art books(Tacshen). A super friendly cocktail waitress brought me water and proceeded to give me a tour of the lobby’s modern art. Come for the craft coffee(beans from Victrola Roasters in Seattle) but stay for the Joule’s lobby and it’s many beautiful stores and artwork.

A trip to Joule land, the complex that is the boutique hotel Joule, is fantastic first world luxury — smart expensive artful décor with multiple pleasant seating areas, gallery league contemporary art collection(including the eyeball in the courtyard across the street), fussy high end gift shop, a bookstore sponsored by Täschen, a trendy diner(CBD provisions) and lastly, an urban coffee shop. My good friend didn’t bat an eyelash at the $ 4 coffees, the designer clad business people in line and all of the general über cuteness. But I have to admit, it is a little intimidating. It’s like going over to your rich friends house for an overnight — super casual and super money. It’s like going to capitalistic heaven for a moment to dream of something better. «Your order’s ready Julie!» The barista called out to a busy red head in a sexy fitted designer dress suit as she handed her a sub textually thick delicious looking fruit studded pastry in a napkin. «A Belgian waffle!» I salivated. «Housemade» the barista added proudly. «Do you want some?» The sexy ginger smiled as she mouthed an edge. «Do you have the calorie information on that?» Is all I frustratingly thought about, while the pretty waffle wielding white girl looked in such(but acutely self aware) ecstasy as though her top was about to pop open. «We don’t give that out» the barista laughed with some competition. I watched as she hand poured my coffee in a filter. «What’s that» I pointed to a case. «Homemade strawberry pop tarts.» She smugly grinned again. «I figured as much.» I sighed in my abstinence. Dude sweet chocolates and pocket journals were nestled on a bookshelf above the milk(in replicated antique delivery jars) and sugar station. Everything was really just too perfect, perhaps more so than my flavorful unbitter smooth cup of Joe, which paled in comparison to all the fanfare. Order in the small coffee space and then kick it in the hotel lobby, which feels more like an interior designers living room. Peruse the art books, and bump into someone that could possibly change your life forever.
