I went for the sweet crêpe, Nutella to be exact. I’m looking forward to a savory one but it will have to wait till my next visit. It’s a cute little space, the owner is charming and helps do it all from what I can see as well as being very attentive. There is nothing particularly fancy about this place, including the food. But it has a charm that makes me want to just hang out for a while.

So I have been to this place twice in 1 week. The first time I went was for Sunday brunch. There were 4 people in our group and we got two brisket jalapeño special of the day for the savory crepes. For the sweet ones of course we got Nutella strawberry but we also got Apple cinnamon. I made my own crêpe with cheese, onion, pepper and salsa. The savory crepes were a little heavy on ur stomach but delicious, I tried the apple cinnamon and it was one of the best crepes I have had, so light and full of flavor and not overtly sweet. So after my great experience, I found that they were celebrating national crêpe day with Nutella crêpe at 2 dollars. Of course I decided to go. 830 on a Tuesday night and there was an hour long wait. I guess everyone in the city wanted the 2 dollar crepes. Lots of people turned out for their crepes. I braved the wind and cold and the long wait and eventually got my Nutella strawberry pecan crêpe along with a butter sugar crêpe. Nutella crêpe was awesome and it was great to see these guys working so hard. Butter sugar crêpe was kind of okay, it was too sweet for me. The first time I went the service was great, the owner was charming and explained everything in detail. It’s been only 3 months that they have opened. It is a small place, not for big parties. The second time it was so busy, I don’t think they anticipated the crowd and frankly seemed quite unprepared! However everyone was still doing their job with a smile on their face. If u like crepes, or just want to try something different in oak cliff please go here.

I have been looking for a crêpe that tasted as good as the chicken and mushroom crêpe I enjoyed at Morels in Los Angeles once. I got a savory crêpe with chicken, mushroom, and cheese. The béchamel sauce is really good. I just wish they would have put more béchamel sauce on the crêpe. Next time I’ll just ask for extra sauce. It tasted like the chicken was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, but not too overbearing. Everything tastes really fresh. The location is a quaint spot next to some lofts located between downtown and the Oak Cliff area. The owner, Julien, is French with a very thick accent, which to me adds to the ambiance of the«crêpe café» theme. Overall, I liked it. Can’t wait to come back but next time I’ll try a sweet crêpe!

My new favorite place. Great date night, very reasonable, fabulous did. And byob, too, by the way. Owner was very personable, and genuinely cares about the good they put out. Couldn’t be more pleased. Go ahead and share dessert. savory and sweet crepes. Best I’ve had since Magic Pan.

I’ve never actually tried real crepes aside from ihop’s a longggggg time ago, don’t judge me. But we ordered the specialty crêpe with milk chocolate, raspberries, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream(they ran out of coconut ice cream, bummer!) and coconut flakes. Twas delicious! My friend and I shared it and it was plentiful! Sweet but not overbearingly sweet. The guy with the accent helped us! He even came back to check on us during and after we finished, super friendly — thanks. Décor was simple. Small place. The water pitchers are cool, we couldn’t figure out how to open them hahaha I’ve already recommended to my friends, would come again!

Amazing! Haven’t had a crêpe like this since being in France a few years ago. Reasonable pricing, very nice service, great atmosphere both inside & out. Highly recommend

I have French family and have really only eaten crepes while in Paris for a special treat. My(French) father(Arthur Q. below!) were so excited to hear about Whisk and ventured to Sylvan Thirty to try it out one cold November evening. We both got the ol’ standard(oeuf, jambon, fromage) and it was to die for. I went with the Nutella and banana for dessert and it did not disappoint! I am obsessed with La Croix sparkling water and drink several cans a day, so it was a fun surprise to find that I could accompany my crepes with an ice cold La Croix. Can’t wait for them to get a liquor license so we can have some Cidre with our crepes! Merci, Whisk!

This place takes crepes to a whole new level. I’ve really only had crepes a handful of times, majority of them just being your typical sweet nutella ones. I was so excited to try a crêpe that was savory instead. They use buckwheat batter which is unique, but I really appreciated it how it complemented the savory flavors really well. I got the prosciutto, cantaloupe, arugula, honey, balsamic, etc. one and wow, I was in heaven. I’m a huge fan of prosciutto, and the combination of all the flavors really worked together so well. I split mine with my friend’s, who got the smoked turkey, mushrooms, cream, etc. The smoked turkey was not dry whatsoever. Both were so good, I really didn’t have a favorite between the two. Of course, we couldn’t leave without getting a sweet crêpe. We wanted to try the cinnamon apple one but unfortunately, they ran out for the night. The owner/manager really tried to help us think of an alternative, so we ended up substituting the apples for poached pears and got whipped cream also. I really liked how the crêpe was not overly sweet as other crepes can be. We finished it pretty quickly because it was so good, and luckily, the owner offered another crêpe for us to share on the house. He made a very simple crêpe with French preserves which is essentially a jam with mixed berries in it. Once again, simply amazing. The crepes are somewhat on the pricey side, but you’re getting some of the highest quality crepes in town made with some of the freshest ingredients. The owner was extremely involved with all the customers and really cared about their experience. Extraordinary customer service and amazingly delicious crepes!

A bit expensive but their crepes are wonderful! You have the option of choosing your own crêpe fillings or you can choose their special crepes on the menu and blackboard. My friend and I shared a spinach, cheese, and egg crêpe on regular white(you can get buckwheat but if it’s your first time, get white). I’m usually not a big fan of savory crepes but this was an exception. The crepes were crispier than what I’ve had in other restaurants and the fillings were flavorful. We also ordered a sweet crêpe with nutella, pecans, and strawberries. It was delicious! I would definitely order that again. I might have to omit the pecans next time though — they didn’t really contribute too much to the flavor and texture. I think Whisk Crepes Café will be my go-to spot after getting ramen at Ten Ramen.

I came Christmas eve and of course some ingredients weren’t available due to demand earlier in the day. There aren’t names for each crêpe, just listed ingredients for sweet and savory crepes. I asked the owner to come up with his own savory creation. Summary: Crepes were on point. Buckwheat crêpe is actually quite good. Owner was super friendly. Restrooms are located outdoors.

Ahh so pricey, but their crepes are fantastic. You can tell they make it right. The owner also makes sure everything is just right too, and he spends time explaining a bit about why he put certain ingredients together. You can tell they really care about their food and customers! I got the salmon crêpe, which was $ 12,(not $ 14 — corrected — thanks, Julien!), but it was very filling! We also got the lemon custard crêpe for dessert. The custard was super tart, but it paired with the whipped cream and fruits really well. If you’ve never had an authentic crêpe before, you should come here to at least try it.

A cute, chic crêpe café that we happened upon after having dinner at Ten Ramen. The restaurant is minimalistically roomy with a few tables, tile backdrop with succulents at each table as simple table centers. The owner is French, and there is a clear view of the kitchen area to watch them make their creations, so you know it’s authentic. The owner walked us through dessert crepes to choose from, advising as to which to choose depending on your sweetness preference. They also offer savory crepes, but we had just had dinner and didn’t get a chance to try them. We tried three of the four dessert crepes. — My poached pear crêpe was delicious! The crêpe itself was the perfect thickness, blanketed with cooked pears, caramel, cream, and candied ginger that complimented the sweetness with a tang. — My friend had the lemon curd and strawberry. The owner shared that the lemon curd is homemade, and you can tell by how aromatic it made the dessert. This crêpe reminded me of strawberry lemonade, made with incredibly fresh ingredients without even a hint of artificial flavor. — My favorite of all was the cinnamon apple. Unlike the other two crepes, in which the fruit and toppings were neatly arranged on top of the crêpe, this crêpe had the cooked apple tucked inside the crêpe. The best part about this one was the warm and toasty flavor produced by the roasted pecans on top, drizzled with caramel. The combination of sweet and toasty made for a pleasing taste. The French owner is as sweet as his concoctions, as he came to our table after serving the crepes to explain the fresh ingredients of each crêpe, and to make sure we were satisfied with our selections. The crepes are the best I’ve had, and definitely a terrific dessert to top off ramen at Ten. I’ll need to make sure to come back to try the savory crepes.

Quaint establishment for delicious crepes! There’s some seating inside but it probably isn’t best for large groups. Some ravenous friends weren’t satisfied with just dinner and needed something sweet. Whisk was right around the corner so whisk it was. I didn’t have the chance to try more than a couple crepes but the ones we had were phenomenal! They stuffed the crepes with the filling ingredients and were generous with ice cream(yup, a la mode is an option) and toppings. Cinnamon apple– YES. My friend added Nutella, which is always a smart choice, but I honesty think it still would’ve been great sans Nutella. You can also build your own crêpe, and whatever my friend ordered was just as spectacular. He usually doesn’t even like sweets and the fact he finished his plate clean definitely said something to me.

Especially in a town known for barbecue and burgers you need some serious brains at the reins to go all in on a Creperie in Dallas. Fortunately, owner Julien Eelsen has those brains with an accounting background and a Master’s Degree in Finance. That being the case, it should come as no surprise that while Whisk Crepes Café is expensive, it’s a concept that’s executed brilliantly. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Smack dab in the middle of a brand spanking new part of Trinity Groves that will surely evolve into a hot spot in the years to come, Whisk Crepes Café has a quaint but modern chic atmosphere that blends well with a partially open kitchen. Be advised, there’s seating for maybe only twenty or so guests indoors and the crepes can take some time to come out, but so long as you can find a seat you’re sure to enjoy the experience whether it’s just you or a small group. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? It’s with the price that I found my only gripe here at Whisk Crepes Café, but I trust it’s the result of some careful elasticity analysis done by Mr. Eelsen. Be that as it may, I couldn’t help but get over the fact that I paid $ 10.50 for a dessert crêpe with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream(pictured below). Trust me I get it, Crepes aren’t common place here in Dallas, foreign concepts command a premium, and this was without a doubt, as you’ll read, an excellent dish top to bottom, but $ 10.50 can get me a full meal most places in Dallas, and on the dessert spectrum I could secure a dozen cupcakes or cookies or all kinds of good stuff. At the end of the day? This is a crêpe, and while it’s much nicer(although not necessarily bigger) than what € 1 can get me on the streets of Mr. Eelsen’s native Paris, I’ve got to think that, like me, others may find the price point is simply too high to warrant frequent visits. $ 8.00 would be reasonable, but double digits is too high for a crêpe in my opinion. No Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Price aside, what a combination this was. My cinnamon apple crêpe(typically with Pecans as well but I’m allergic) yielded a fantastic combination of apples, cinnamon, cream cheese, caramel sauce and some additional vanilla ice cream all bundled together in a freshly made crêpe that was truly excellent. The portion was bigger than it initially looked(granted, still not worth double digits), and I left having just had one of the better crepes in my life. I’ll be back to try the savory options, which looked just as popular as the sweet ones even though it was pushing 2100 on a Thursday evening. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I absolutely could, and I think this will prove doubly true once I’ve tried the savory options. If Whisk Crepes Café can keep the prices manageable this could well cement itself as one of the best dessert options in Dallas. Star Granted.

Super cute place!!! It has a modern, chic vibe to it, like most of the new coffee/tea places now. The worker was very nice and helpful. I decided to try the sweet crepes. Pretty much the base price is $ 3 and every ingredient you want to add to it is extra charge. I added nutella, bananas and vanilla ice cream, which came out to be a little over $ 8. I thought it was a little pricey for crepes, but I changed my thought as soon as I received it. They are not stingy with the add ons. Inside my crêpe was overfilled with bananas and nutella. Can’t wait to go back to try their savory crepes. They also set up small tables and chairs in the patiofor those you like to be outdoor.

I’ve never been a huge fan of crepes and only thought of them as a dessert. I was pleasantly surprised to experience the savory crêpe at Whisk. On a rainy Thursday evening, Marcus and I dropped in to try some crepes. I ordered the smoked turkey, mushrooms and pesto crêpe. I don’t know what I expected but the turkey was AMAZING. It was really juicy and flavorful. Marcus ordered the chicken, bacon and mozzarella crêpe. His was tasty too. I liked the turkey better. The savory crepes are made with a wheat flour and we both prefer the taste of the flour the sweet crepes are made with. They were delicious, nonetheless. We didn’t plan to have dessert but the sweet crepes menu makes it hard to resist. We ordered a cinnamon apple, cream cheese, caramel and pecan crêpe. The caramel had a slightly bitter aftertaste. Aside from that, it was delicious. The décor inside is super cute, but the place itself is small. I will definitely be back to try the other menu options.

It is about time we got ourselves an authentic French crêpe restaurant! Wow this place is amazing, I stopped by after a visit to Ten last night with a bunch of buddies and I am so glad we tried this place. The appearance is very cute on the outside and in! The owner is a true Frenchmen! He is very nice and the product they put out definitely reflects that. I definitely plan to come back often and first thing is to try a savory crêpe this time. Last night I went for a sweet crêpe, the strawberry and Nutella ice cream one… the presentation was beautiful almost didn’t want to break into it! Now the taste… the flavors melded so well together and the crêpe batter itself was amazing! Overall a 5⁄5 place for presentation/personality/taste and everything else! Can’t wait to come back! Si Bön!

What’s not to love about Whisk? We were greeted by the owner the moment we entered and he personally took our orders. We were there for a snack one evening so we each had a crêpe with nutella and I added bananas to mine. My husband also had a latte. The total bill was only $ 10!!! The crepes were absolutely delicious. One customer was raving about his mushroom and cheese savory crêpe. He loved it so much that when he was finished, he immediately ordered a dessert crêpe. We will definitely go back for lunch or dinner in the near future.
