I was highly disappointed in Palo Alto Medical as when I went to see Dr. Abeyta, the person scheduling ensured he was a preferred provider. When I showed up, I was brought in to take x-rays by his nurse. Dr. Abeyta then read the x-rays and I found out after that was considered done by a non-preferred provider so I had to pay the entire bill. If I needed x-rays before seeing him, I should have been warned so I could get them done at a preferred provider.

I am recovering from ankle ligament repair done by Dr. Abeyta, and have only the best to say about him. He has a stellar background, knows what he is doing, and describes it well. He is relatively on-time for appts, and was prepared and ready to go ahead of time the morning of surgery. From all the things that were done, I expected to be in a lot of pain, but it was not bad. Got the cast off yesterday, and he is confident the scars will pretty much disappear. Only thing I would recommend, is have a detailed talk with him pre-surgery about recovery time, and what is involved — I was 6 weeks in a cast, which seems to be the norm, but pre-op I had the impression it would be only a week. All in all, he and the very pleasant staff made the whole experience as easy as possible.

Dr. Abeyta performed an ACL on my left knee about two years ago. Paul is the most gifted and accomplished orthopedic surgeon one can find on the Peninsula. Very fortunate to find him @ new Medical Center in Hillsborough, CA. #PAMF #Soccer
