The old standby near the house. Always a convenience never a destination. I do like the fried chicken. And the salmon salad. Somehow I always get out of here spending more than I prefer. But again, convenient.

Solid breakfast joint pretty close to home, and very close to the Daly City movie theatre, so it’s the perfect pre or post movie eats on a lazy weekend. You have to be patient, because the place gets packed, and parking can be limited. Pro-tip: try sitting in the lounge. Often times, tables are readily open, the games are on, and the mimosas are flowing! I LOVE their corned beef hash. It’s my favorite, but I’ve never heard any complaints from any of my dining companions about their grub, so I’ll take that as a good sign. The service has always been good, just remember, every server there is going to busy, so be patient, it’ll be worth it!

I don’t remember much abut what I ate here. The slow service is the only this that I remember. And how hard it is to find parking. Their parking lot is crowded and busy and we park on the street. This place might be better if you have a small group like 2 – 4 people. Definitely challenging for them to handle bigger groups that that. You wait for the table, wait to order, wait for the food and wait to get out. It’s a shame considering the prime location and the cool look of the building. The exterior looks like the Jetsons’ house but don’t expect anything futuristic inside.

To whom it may concern, I just ate breakfast today. I noticed the portion of chicken egg white omelette I ordered was very small portion. And the side order of corned beef is very dry. The blueberry pancake remains the same. I’ve been coming here since day one. Or maybe who prepared my order is new. Note I don’t mind paying extra, as long as you give the fair portion of my chicken egg white omelette and no dry corned beef please. Thank you, Ed Palaña PS Check out Jacks Restaurant in San Bruno, corned beef hash is good, not dry. And also checkout the serving portion and prices of Crêpe Vine Restaurant in Burlingame Avenue @Burlingame very decent food & price.

Great atmosphere and phenomenal food and drinks. This place was huge and wide, kind of Jacks restaurant lookalike. Had ordered Eggs Vincent which this plate of food. Delicious. Wait staff had switched from one person to another and to another.

I had really low expectations about this place because I thought it would be like a Denny’s. To start, it is way nicer inside than I thought it would be. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. The menu had really great pricing for the items. I got the spaghetti with meatballs and I really enjoyed the spaghetti, not so much the meatballs. The meatballs tasted like catfood to me, I couldn’t finish it. The new york steak medium rare was delicious, but there was too much better. The sides were kind of weak. I think what really impressed me is that they remembered the soda we got and every time it seemed low, they would automatically refill it without us requesting. There was a trainee and he did really well. He was very accommodating and helpful. I definitely would come again and would recommend this to others!

So I usually really like this place, been coming here for years and tonight(as in right now) I went to the bar to wait and stand for about 8−10mins while a table was empty and waiting to be cleaned. They finally clean it and I’m still standing and waiting. They say they’re really busy but pass me twice when all I need is to sit and look at the menu. Finally I just go and sit and continue to wait. They continue to walk past us without acknowledgment so I get up and grab menus myself. Now I’m sitting here waiting to make my order as they continue to pass us without acknowledging us whatsoever. So I guess I’ll try asking the front of the house what happened and chalk that up to the tip 2 stars because usually the service and people are awesome but the white guy at the bar was horrible and didn’t give a shit. It honestly wasn’t THAT busy. It’s been far busier and an influx in service isn’t an excuse for shitty service. Won’t be back here for a while and maybe never if Original Joes opens up soon enough on John Daly and Lake Merced

Had just had my fav pancake(swedish pancake w/lingonberry butter) at my go-to place for breakfast… It was just perfect for me w/small bowl of fruits before going to a matinée movie w/my girls. at least I didn’t eat a heavy meal!

I love this place! I have been coming here since it opened and even though I don’t live on this side of the Bay I still crave it. Not many places can pull off breakfast and dinner(I’ve never had lunch here), but I am always able to enjoy something from any part of the menu. Breakfast basics can always be trusted but try to expand your culinary horizons and get the Bananas Foster french toast or The Moose. I almost always order the same thing when I come for dinner which is the fried calamari and the California Mac n cheese… there is a menu section just for mac n cheese since they have 6 different kinds. It’s good stuff if you like yours saucy and creamy with ingredients you can see AND taste! Desserts are good here too, my favorite being the chocolate lava cake. Service is always stellar, and this place is always busy even if there is no wait for a table. By the way, if you can get Antonio as a server you will not be disappointed with your visit. We never had to look for him because he made sure we had everything we needed our entire visit. Extra credit: free valet for dinner service. Parking can be tricky because of the tiny lot.

Only reason for the one star is because my server was very kind and attentive. Also, gave me a free refill on my coffee. Thank you server! Was craving country fried steak and so I decided to eat at Boulevard Café for the first time with my son. 12pm wait was approximately 30 minutes. While waiting I decided I wanted some coffee. Asked if I may have a cup of joe while I waited. Host said sternly… sure, but you need to pay for it now. Really!?! Like I’m going to run away with a cup of coffee that even though cost me $ 3, may have cost you $ 0.25 or less. I feel a cup of coffee would help ease the wait for you patrons. But what do I know about customer service. Finally got seated and ordered. The country fried steak was horrible. Batter was disgusting and it wasn’t even hot. Like eating dough. Along with that I had 2 sunny side eggs and hash brown. How do you mess up eggs!?! And what kind of eggs do they use. XS eggs!!!(Reference pic). Not only were these eggs so small, they manage to burn the underside of my sunny sides. I was disgusted the whole time eating. Son’s scrambled egg and bacon was fine but the pancake was doughy and not fluffy. His vanilla shake was good. Never coming back again. Such a disappointment. How do you ruin breakfast!?! Boulevard managed to.

I originally came here for my godmother’s birthday. I told her I would take her anywhere she wanted to go to eat and she raced about Boulevard Café. I chose a burger(I love burgers if you don’t know me) and my aunt ordered from the breakfast menu. I’m pretty good at eating burgers and this restaurant did a fine job. The meat was nice and juicy but not sloppy. My aunt’s plate of corned beef hash looked amazing. Her plate looked so good that I got jealous. Every year we’ve made it tradition to come here for her birthday, but now I get the corned beef hash. Believe me when I say the savory taste is above any typical restaurant. Ask the waitresses about why and they’ll explain how homemade is completely different.

It’s hard to pass by this place without my 4 year old asking to dine here. We started doing breakfast here when he was 2. Now that he’s 4, he’s learned how to sucker me into what he wants. The cute and friendly staff and consistent food made this his and favorite restaurant. He always looks forward to their yummy Mickey Mouse pancakes and the serving of the hash browns(ordered crispy) the comes with my breakfast selection. Even if he misses the 2:00 breakfast deadline, they have great kids meals. The fries are also one of his favorites. Lately, I’ve been in love with the mediterranean plate and the Joes Special(breakfast). The Mediterranean dinner plate comes with grilled kabobs. I appreciate that the chicken is always tender. They serve great American faire a little touch of Italian(pasta, risotto, etc). I appreciate that they are consistent, and that they top off your coffee so that you un-zombie. If you are there during dinner, go for the specials if you can’t decide. The specials are indeed«special,» so you might not see the same offering any time soon.

It was my friend and I’s first time visiting Boulevard Café. I’ve always driven by this restaurant, however, I have never taken it into consideration. We came in around brunch time on a Sunday morning. We somehow managed to get past the sea of people waiting and put our name down for a table for two. The hostess was the sweetest person. I forgot her name, but I believe it started with an S. She looked very busy at the time answering phone calls and calling people’s names out. The manager was helping her out as well, which is relieving to see. I couldn’t imagine hosting alone on one of the busiest days of the week. Phew, no thanks! It took about twenty minutes for the two of us to be seated. Fairly quick. We were delighted to have Sylvia as our server and she was as ready as can be. She was very attentive and patient when my friend couldn’t decide on what to order. Our food took quite a bit, but it was understandable considering it being a Sunday morning. I had the country fried steak and she had the Belgian waffles. Both oh so delicious! My meal wasn’t as salty as I would have expected it to be. Such a relief as well! The waffles also tasted very light and not saturated in sugar. Overall, the service was great. Breakfast was great! All I have to do is come back for dinner!

I always pass this place when we don’t want to go to an SF grocery store, and want to go to the DC Safeway… And everytime I pass, it’s busy. And everytime we say, «Man we gotta try this place.» It’s taken more than a year, but we finally caved in and did it. It was a nice, sunny Saturday breakfast/brunch time, and of course there’s a line. Bay area peeps love their breakfast it seems. It’s a big place — a cleaner version of a diner, but it works like a well-oiled machine. We got seated in about 20 minutes — definitely not bad when compared to SF spots. Service is quick, but sometimes forgetful. I felt bad, we had a friendly server, but it looked like she was taken care of area that would have benefitted from more servers. In any case, on to the food! Coffee — nothing like a good strong cup of black oil to get the day going. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t Blue Bottle. It’ll do. Hot chocolate — Standard. Nothing to write home about(irony, i know) Chicken fried steak — Oh classic. Tastes exactly how you would want it to. Not exceptionally great, but get’s the job done! I’d have another. Savory gravy, and they don’t skimp on it either. Enough that you can still mix it around with your hashbrowns to get that creamy goodness. Also a plus — they know how to execute a perfect egg over easy. French toast bananas foster — Again, get’s the job done. Sweet, in a good way, but not mind-blowing. Overall, if you’re looking for quick service, classic diner breakfast without any frills. This is the place for you. I’ll probably come back when we get that craving for a hearty meal without that fancy city food.

If you like what my friend calls it «American Breakfast» it’s a decent place. Was here last Sunday for birthday brunch and the place was pretty packed. I ordered the Chicken Waffles. It was ok. I mean, it’s just fried chicken and waffles! The Sauce for the chicken was not to my liking. It was a bit on the sweet side. The chicken was decent and the waffle, well it’s waffle! My other girlfriend got the corn beef hash and eggs. well, it was just that. Nothing special. They do have a lounge if you want a cocktail. Wait wasn’t too bad.

Cute little café! Waited about 30 mins for a table for 5 on a Sunday. Once seated it took a second to catch the busy waitresses eye, but she was over in a second. Drinks orders were taken and were delivered within a few mins. I ordered the 2 eggs, toast, apple sausage, and hasbrowns. Everything was super tasty. The eggs were perfectly sunside up and the the apple sausage was very tasty. I also tried the banana walnut pancakes which were super delish. Everything was very tasty, and affordable. Place was clean and all the servers were super duper friendly. Will defo stop in again if I’m in the area!

This place is PACKED for brunch on weekends. What I like about this place is that after my friends and I ate the food here, none of us were hungry for the rest of the day. Talk about saving money on food. Boulevard café must have put some kind of hunger-less ambrosia in their food, because oh my, oh my, oh my. I highly recommend the pulled pork. Their green salsa verde is perfect. A bite in the hash brown made me say«Oh my, so good!1!!1!!1!» If you’re a real man, order the mighty moose. It’s stacked with fried steak, biscuit, gravy, hash browns, potatoes, bacon, and SAUCE, SAUCE, SAUCE. Definitely would come back because the food they serve keeps you full for the rest of the day.

Love this place. I used to go to this restaurant when I was a child. It was called Lyons. Now it is the John Daly Boulevard café. The bar here is amazing! It serves everything everything that the restaurant does and a few more appetizers because it is the bar. The servers here are also amazing. One in particular, I don’t know his name, but he always refilled my water and is always on there paying a lot of attention to the customer. You rarely. find that in any restaurant nowadays.
One of the best days to go on is a thrusday when they have $ 3 enchiladas on special. They also have a delicious calimari appetizer that I highly recommend. They also offer WiFi and have to or three tv’s that are playing sports and will let you control the channel. Great place for a date night during the week.

Pretty good! I tried their spaghetti de pollo and its yummy! Creamy and flavorful. They give lots of chicken too $ 13.95 worth it! Service was good too, they close at 9 but my gf and I still talking until 9:40 pm and they didn’t kick us out or anything! I will be back!

The place has retained that family friendly neighborhood feel, very cozy, their food is comforting and tasty. When you can’t decide where else to go with a large group for breakfast, lunch or dinner in Daly City area, Boulevard is a pretty solid option. If you order before 6:30pm, you can order from the early bird menu which is at a set price for $ 14.95($ 15.95 if you order the 80z steak or grilled salmon) which comes with your entrée, soup or salad, and a drink. The kids menu is decent as well. This place gets packed fast. The food and the service was prompt and friendly. Good portions for the right price. Big spacious place. Despite having their own parking lot, parking always seem to be full so we always park in the residential area. It’s not a big deal… I think of it as a nice way to walk off a great meal. Good neighborhood restaurant and bar. I’ll definitely go back and try some other menu items.
