Men’s Wearhouse and Tux

Came here today to pick up my god son’s suit for his graduation tomorrow. We ordered white shoes and the order got messed up somehow because it came with black shoes! We complained so the Colma store hand delivered white Converse shoes from their store and guess what… there were two left shoes in the box. Come on now, once okay… but twice Geezzz!!!

I made an appointment online for a tux fitting and decide on the style for the men in my wedding party. They sent me a confirmation # and asked me to let them know if I needed to reschedule.
I get to the store and a David refused to honor my appointment, saying that despite my having an appointment that they do things on a «First come, first serve.» This means that it would be hours before I’m helped.
What’s the point of an appointment then?!
Poor corporate/​local communication and policy aside, the guy was very rude and snarky in his tone. I’ve worked retail and managed retail, if one of my salespeople talked to a customer like that, I’d have fired them on the spot.
I called MW corporate customer relations and talked with Shay. Great lady, understanding and she got to the bottom of it and scheduled me an appointment with the Colma store. Thanks Shay.

The asian lady was able quickly fix my pant button quickly and very well. Friendly helpful and talented staff.

My brother came here to rent a Suit for Prom and 1^st thing 1^st we did not get greeted, 2^nd the young caucasian lady who was «helping» us was being so unprofessional she was giving my brothers weird looks because he was asking questions about different styles, cut exc. her tone of voice was very sarcastic SO we went on she went on to get all the «correct measurements» we left and paid half sure enough we went back for the pick up date that was set (3 days before the prom date) and the suit did NOT fit my brother she did not measure him correctly. It was a horrible experience and I feel terrible that my younger brother had to experience such a horrible thing for his first prom ever… Do not go to this one I recommend the other one in Metro Center

I had a terrific experience here. Both John and his manager were extremely helpful in fitting me with a new tux and two suits. They were very patient, did not try to sell things I didn’t need. The customer service was outstanding and I would come back here in a heartbeat! Thank you for taking exceptional care of me!

As a Groomsman for an out of town wedding, a major crisis occurred. I had forgotten my slacks and did not realize this until the day before it was needed. In a state of panic, I called around and found that this particular location carried the slacks that came with my suit.
My largest regret was not getting the gentlemen’s name that helped me as I can only describe him as mid 20’s-30ish, brown hair, thin and mustache. It would have been great if I was able to at least reference him by name for this review.
At that time, I considered myself lucky if I could just find the duplicate suit to buy just for the slacks. How lucky I got as there was a similar pair of slacks sold separately for another suit. Understanding my dilemma, the gentlemen discounted the cost for me and hemmed it within 10 minutes. To top it off, he pressed my suit which after a long car ride was extremely wrinkled and provided a much nicer garment bag free of charge.
It is very rare that I see customer service this great and normally I do not leave reviews for businesses that are not in my area, but this place deserves it. With all that said, you bet I recommend this location.

I’ve bought several suits from this store as well as a tux! I think the staff is amazing, and very helpful. Just went in over the weekend, and started getting ready for a wedding my partner and I will be having in a year! Love the staff and the management!

I knew that Men’s Wearhouse opened at 10am but I wanted to ask if an appointment was necessary to get my dad’s tux fitted for my wedding. At 9:45, I called by chance hoping that someone would answer. No one answered at the Serramonte store so I called the Colma store and thank goodness the sales associate on the phone said that we could just walk-​in. When I confirmed the address, he said I was closer to the Colma store and was really helpful, was really nice, and gave me directions to Serramonte which was supposed to open at 10am as well. I wish I had just gone to the Colma store instead.
At 9:45 I arrived to the Serramonte store. No one was there. Pitch black. Clearly the Serramonte location does not open early like Colma but fine, I understand, you’re still closed. At 9:55, I hoped I would see a glimmer of light or someone starting to get ready to open the store. Still no one. At 10:10, I’m like «WHERE THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE» and I’m thinking that «Someone was late to work today»… at 10:30, I’m like «OK SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET FIRED»…
I decided to go to Denny’s and hopefully by the time I came back, the store would be open. At 11:30, the older filipino lady was there… I wanted to ask if she was late to work that day but kept my mouth shut. She was really stuck-​up and condescending and we decided not to rent my dad’s tux from her. She was not helpful at all and the store is soooo tiny with not much selection if you actually wanted to buy something.
What a waste of time.
Never again.
Go to a REAL Men’s Wearhouse location where odds are you will have a vast selection to choose from and will actually receive service from one of their multiple sales associate instead of this one lonely lady in this cramped little store.

The person behind the counter was extremely helpful. I went there on a Sunday afternoon (around 11:30 am) looking for a black Tuxedo shirt that I needed badly for a performance. Even though she was helping someone else at the counter (who was taking their time deciding on something), she reached out to me as soon as I walked in and asked if I needed help. After looking in her database and discovering that none of the Men’s Wearhouse stores carried the shirt in my size (I guess black Tuxedo shirts are not very popular), and that the shirt had been discontinued, she suggested that I try a major department stores in the same mall (which I had with no luck). She then suggested that I could custom order the shirt from the manufacturer (which I couldn’t since I needed it in a hurry). She then told me that they had a rental shirt in the back with my size, but I told her that I needed it for at least 2 weeks (which they don’t do). She finally worked out a deal for me that is really, really favorable for me, and I walked out the store with the shirt and was a happy customer.

Recently rented a tux for my brothers prom and the staff here was awesome. My brother became a prom rep and his tux was absolutely FREE!!! All he had to do was refer 7 people to come rent with men’s warehouse and his was no cost. The tux came in today and we picked it up, prom isn’t til Saturday yet we still were able to take it home at no charge for the extra days. Kudos to the staff and keep up the great work!

I really don’t know what to think because the initial visit vs. the pick up procedure was like night and day. When my son came in to select and fit the gentlemen that had assisted us kept repeating, «And if it doesn’t will we will do everything we can do get a different size. Especially the jacket, let us know if it’s too big.» I paid an extra $ 20 «rush fee» (which was 5 days before but I understand) The sales person says to make sure we try it on before we leave otherwise, there’s nothing they can do. So we get to pickup day-​my son tries it on and pants are too wide and jacket is too big. I asked the sales lady and that’s when I know it’s all bad. She said that there was nothing they could do about how BIG the jacket, slacks and shirt was. I felt like so I spent $ 200 bucks, was assured my son should try it on to fit and you can’t do anything? That sucks. Don’t OVERPROMISE and under deliver. I worked in Nordstrom suits before and this type of service would never get by customers. Buyer beware: check all your options first. Get your money’s worth.

The young woman who helped me was very pleasant to interact with. She seemed genuine and knew her stuff. The young man doing the fittings was also quite personable. They were surprisingly busy for a Sunday afternoon. Their rental procedure is fairly cut and dry and they were very helpful and courteous.
