This is easily the WORST Walgreens there is. The only reason why I shop here is that it is the only Walgreens near my home. The employees seem like they do not like working there and management acts like they do not care. It is a shame. I hope someone from the Walgreens hear this. This a a retail store. They have to deal with the public and they do not like dealing with the public.

Store selection is fine. Check out is fine. Looking for a rep at the photo center can be challenging. What is almost always a pain to deal with, is the pharmacy department. 9 out of 10 times there’s a long wait to drop off the prescription, and an even longer wait for the actual medication. How is this acceptable? They told me one hour. I came back 1 hour and 15 minutes later and my one prescription still isn’t ready.(I set a timer for when I left the lot.) There’s only one person working on the medications and another person handling the register. Inefficiency at its height. 1 hour and 25 minutes later, I finally get my prescription. And don’t even get me started on the drive thru. I’ve used it twice and I’ve stopped trying. Unfortunately, this location and the one on Geneva are most conveniently located, and both have serious drawbacks. I hope someone reads this and does something about the utter lack of care in the pharmacy department. Fix it!

If I could give this place a zero I would. I walk in to kill some time(literally about ten minutes) so I decided to look at some magazines. This«manager» tells me that I have to leave if I don’t buy one. First off, bitch are you out of your fucking mind? Last time I checked, before you buy something you might want to read or look at whatever it is you are buying. Worst customer service ever.

I wanted to print out a few pictures and decided to do it online. It usually takes about an hour to process. However, when I arrived at the store they could not find my order. I waited for good 15 minutes for the manager to come and when she finally came, she had a really bad attitude. Eyebrows up and talked to me in a really rude manner. It’s kind of annoying because I’ve been going here for years and I’ve never had problems with the workers. They’re usually nice and helpful. On top of that, my photos did not«went through» eventhough I got a e-mail confirmation from the website already saying it was ready to be picked up. Eh walked away disappointed.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? I’ve been to the pharmacy at least once a month for the past 6 months and they have never failed to give slow, lackluster, downright bad customer service.

Yikes! I really hate to write this review as this Walgreens is in a great location and the store is big. Unfortunately I was shopping in the beauty section over the weekend, and I witnessed a young gentlemen trying to return something at the beauty counter. Now I would not normally comment about this but it was pretty bad customer service. I was checking out the beauty products near the beauty department cash register, which was right where this happened. The cashier denied this guy’s return because the Debit card on the receipt didn’t match his. He argued with her that he wanted to exchange. It went back and forth and she would not return his item. He kept insisting that he has a receipt, etc, their store policy etc and eventually became irate and darted an insult because of her mean tone. I honestly thought, «Why isn’t she calling a manager?» I can’t side whether or not she should have processed the return BUT this is where it turns ugly… he mutters something, and the cashier CUSSED right back at him! Yup really in front of other customers. She said, «Yah, f you too get the hell out of here a-hole!» My previous retail boot camp mind shook my head, did this Filipina straight loose her mind? I pretty much froze because I could not believe that type of behavior actually just happened, especially in front of customers waiting in line! He then leaves and proceeds to help the next person and changes her disposition. Not a good look, extremely unprofessional to loose your cool. There might have been some legal consequences to her actions. Management might want to look into training employees on how to handle certain situations.

Just like PS, I frequent this walgreens because it is closest to me. The customer service in this Walgreens is always so painfully slow, it hurts. Whenever I know I have to go there, for whatever reason(mostly for the pharmacy) I have to mentally prepare myself to spend a little extra time there. Give yourself at least 20 minutes to pick up or drop off any prescription medications because there may be a few people ahead of you, and that could take foreeeever. Don’t even get me started with the front of the store registers. TIP– if you need to pick/drop something up/off at the pharmacy, grab the items you need to purchase and pay for them at the pharmacy. I only like to bring a few items because, like I said, more than likely there will be a line at the counter of the pharmacy.

I only come here when I need to pick up meds, on a few occasion’s I had to wait over 30 minutes. Service is slow here, everyone seems to be working at a slow pace like the supervisor doesn’t give a flying horse a**. The selections of products is limited but at least there’s free parking compared to having to pay for meter on the Geneva location.

I’ve known the workers here for years. Its always nice to say hi as a regular. Service has gone down some, but I don’t blame the store, nor should any of you. Corporate has mandated layoffs and is making many stores work with a skeleton crew, it is saddening. They have eliminated positions that some really great people held. Again, store managers are powerless over this situation. I pray for the people who still work there.

If I could give this pharmacy — I would. I’ve been trying to get my prescription auto fill here for the past 4 months and every month I have to deal wit some type of issues. Two out of the four times I ended up having to go to a different Walgreens location. Today I called since I didn’t get the usual reminder call for pick up and the pharmacist informed me that my prescription had been transferred to a different pharmacy and they don’t know where it went. What?! Wth does that even mean and how did it happened? I didn’t request for a transfer and on top of that the pharmacist couldn’t tell me where the prescription went?! Omg I’m done with them

Worst walgreens ever. Every single time I come in to pick up a prescription, the pharmacist is nowhere in sight. I always come after their lunch break is over and the only one there is the assistant, who can’t legally hand out the prescriptions. Also, I couldn’t get change several times because they never have $ 5 bills! What kind of Walgreens is this? Even though this is the closest one to my house, I’d rather take a bus to mission and ocean where they actually have hardworking pharmacists on duty.

this place is small and the beauty section is not fully stocked with the things I need. I just come here for emergency needs. Other than that I just go to Target down the street where the beauty products are cheaper.

Pretty good selection… long line should not even be an issue since you experience it everywhere especially when it’s rush hours. This is the closest Walgreens in my area so I can say that it is pretty convenient when I needed some stuff but don’t expect that they are going to have everything… I would say pretty basic stuff that you might need everyday. Their pharmacy is pretty good also since they don’t get that busy as much as other locations.

Convenient because of parking. But, good luck trying to find help. Specially in the actual pharmacy department.

I live in the Excelsior, I have TWO freaking Walgreens in close proximity. One on Mission and the other on Geneva. WHYTHEHELLDOYOUGOTOTHISWALGREENS? You might ask. Well simply put, cigarettes! Yes, yes because of the sensitive complainers and Draconian politicians of my fair City and County of San Francisco, Walgreens doesn’t sell cigarettes anymore! UNLESS you go outside of the City. That’s what I do, because corner stores are out of their damn minds charging a few cents short of $ 7 for a single pack, and Safeway is no cheaper and having to wait in a long line for smokes? Cheea, right! Simply put, this Walgreens is fine in my book! Most cigarettes you get a discount if you by two packs. BESIDES cigarettes, I find the cashiers to be very friendly(well the few that I always see). Although the line can get a little unnecessarily long, sometimes because the cashier is trying to figure something out BUTMOSTLY because PEOPLE are F***INGIDIOTS! So don’t blame the cashiers completely, these ratchet ass customers with their EBT complications or not understanding how purchase quantity is related and stated on coupons! OR arguing with the cashier about shit on your receipt, step aside, wait for a manager and let the line move! Other than that! I like this Walgreens, especially since they remodeled it. Looks a lot brighter and cleaner!

They usually have what I need at a very convenience location with plenty of parking. The only downside is that they’re remodeling right now and it looks a bit grim.

If I could give a negative star I would. My first experience with the Pharmacy was picking up my birth ccontrol pills on a Monday. I dropped up my prescriptions at 8:30AM and was told hey were so busy it wouldn’t be ready until 5. When I mentioned the fact I was the only person in the entire sore the women snapped at me… Ok fine, clearly having a bad day. So I came back at 5 and they still were not ready. After some bickering back and forth I got my meds. I figured it was a rough day for them so I decided to give them another try yesterday as i needed to pick up an antibiotic. The women was SORUDE to me I was shocked. Her«next» came out like a dull rawr and there was little pointless no «how can I help you» but rather«why are you here». It stopped me in my tracks. Sadly, as close and convenient as this Walgreens is I’ll be going to the Westlake Walgreens from now on. My experience there has always been much better. The other staff at the Mission Street Daly City location are nothing special. I swear the people who run the cash registers are miserable but they are at least respectful. Even when it’s slow it feels like a meat market, quick in, quick out no «did you find everything» or «how are you». They have a parking lot, but it’s SMALL and shared with the other business in the strip. I also find getting out of the Parking Lot to be a big hassle as I need to go left but it’s all Right Turn only’s. On a side note, they also don’t have Thumb Tacks… but neither did Target to I suppose it’s not their fault…

No idea why but I love walking around in Walgreens. This one is the closest to home so I come here quite often to purchase little items. Only bad thing I find is there have been more than one occasion where the shelf wasn’t stocked with what I was looking for and we end up having to go to Lucky or Target instead. Oh, and look out for this couple who always stand outside begging for money. I call them the«fiddy cent couple» because when you walk past, they always ask for 50 cents. They openly talk about getting beer with the money people give them… lame.
