I have been going to this Ralph’s since 2009 and sad to say many of the food items are not fresh. I have had many items such as birthday cakes, pies, produce and dairy spoiled. My husband and I just did our grocery shopping. He opened a container of individual packed apples and three packs had spoiled moldy apples. I am very disappointed. I go to this Ralph’s because it is close to home and I like the staff. The Lake Forest store is pretty good, and so is the store close to my job in Fountain Valley. I may have to change stores.

This Ralphs is right next to my dads and I love that aspect of it. It’s incredibly clean, employees are friendly and there is a huge selection of food to choose from — it’s a decently sized Ralphs. I also LOVE that there’s a Starbucks there. Alas, all good things must come to an end… The parking situation is hell. The lot is far too small to accommodate Ralphs customers and the other businesses located in that plaza.

I much prefer giving good reviews to bad, but I’ve reached the point that I have to say something. I have been coming to this location for years. I find the people that work here to be great. The are nice and go out of their way to be helpful. However, shopping at this location is never fun because of the constant stocking that takes place. I get that items need to be stocked but what I object to is the constant carts, bins(of trash or food) and pallets left totally unattended in multiple aisles throughout the store. If items need to be stocked, have someone working on that area to completion instead of just leaving stuff everywhere so shoppers have to struggle not only to get throught the aisles, but… you know… have access to items they want to BUY.

Terrible customer service! I called for the price of one item and I was hung up on once then put on hold for 15 minutes the second time. I stayed on hold just to explain how ridiculous the situation was but I couldn’t even get a person on the line for that. Why do I even think about shopping here instead of Trader Joe’s, where the employees actually care!

I come here from time to time. It’s a great location that’s well stocked, clean and great staff that always make you feel welcome.

I don’t eat industrialized meat and this Ralph’s sells locally sourced family-ranched beef: Sunfed Ranch. Please consider supporting happy cows and healthy consumerism by demanding quality farmed products.

First time coming to this particular location. I have to say, this is probably the nicest Ralphs I have ever been to. It feels. so warm and cozy. Haha This place is pretty busy. The aisles are little smaller than I’m used to. But very well organized. I like that the flower section is right at the entrance. Who doesn’t want to see pretty flowers when you walk into a store? The employees are very nice. They have paper bags! Yay! My normal Ralphs doesn’t even offer paper bags anymore. They have a Starbucks! Love that. Even though there is one right across the shopping center, this is much more convenient. Probably going to be my go to grocery store while I’m living in the area.

They did it. They actually listened. Stopped in today and there is a big sticker saying no animals allowed except service animals and that THERAPYDOGSARENOTSERVICEANIMALS. So happy to be back at this store. I hope they stick to their guns on this because they just earned back a loyal customer. Yay Ralphs!

I love the new remodel because it now has transformed into an inviting, classy ambiance while getting through the necessary chores of my day. I have a big bone to pick with the buyer. .they stopped selling many items I used to find there. What’s up with that? For an example here’s a partial list of items that they don’t carry anymore: V8 juice in individual cans/servings, small star pasta, marinated mini corn, Bigalow Constant Comment & Earl Gray tea, including decaf, Land o Lakes cheeses(I especially liked the extra sharp cheddar). I’m impressed with the added gourmet cheese station but it is pricey and there are many commercial choices that are wonderful and more affordable. They are not Bristol Farms, Gelsons or Whole Foods. They are a Ralphs, for goodness sakes. I go elsewhere now to save and to find the things they no longer carry.

To be honest it’s a very nice place, has a good environment and I feel comfortable being in there… I’m to sure on why they put a starbucks in there… I mean not only is there a starbucks right in front of it but the one in the store is not as good as the one in front but I don’t count that into the stars mostly because the store it self is great :)

Visited your store tonight while eating for Choya restaurant to open. Very impressed with the new additions however your prices are still higher than where I shop. Your wine prices for buying 6 bottles at a discount for the wine I buy are more than a dollar higher than Albertsons, where I shop. I like your new improvement and would like to shop there but not with the higher prices. I’m sure you, grocery’s stores get great prices from vendors, so why would you«sting» the customer with over pricing of goods. Not right…

This market does not have a real meat department with butchers who will cut, trim or prepare your meat, chicken & seafood the way you want it. Everything is prepackaged. It’s also difficult to find anything in this store. Nothings where you’d expect to find it…

I love that this Ralphs has a big cheese selection(because I LOVE cheese). There is a Ralphs closer to me, but it doesn’t have as many cheese choices. Also, this Ralphs has a nice meat selection with some amazing cuts of meats. I used to go out of my way to shop at this Ralphs rather than the one next to me for these reasons. However, lately I have noticed a lack of grocery baggers. This store needs to hire more of them, OR maybe consider paying its customers for bagging their own groceries. And the three star rating is because of that, otherwise I would be giving it a five. The last handful of times I have shopped at this Ralphs I have had to bag my own groceries and deal with a grumpy cashier who seems quite embarrassed that I have to bag my own groceries.

Two years ago, it was upgraded to Fresh Fare and offers decent gourmet selection. The selection is just like what you’d find in other Ralph’s except this one’s slightly bigger than the others. They used to have all you can eat Chinese buffet(one tray, put as much as you can on the tray) but it has since then been replaced with a homestyle deli(mac and cheese, fried or baked chicken, etc.). The salad bar was $ 5.99 a pound last year, went up to $ 6.99 and is now $ 7.99. Too many rich people shop there so they can bump up the prices without getting people upset. Due to Dana Point’s ridiculous law, they do not use plastic bags. All bags must be paper and I’ve lost a few groceries that way!

This Ralphs is a Fresh Fare. First thing I noticed when I stepped inside were the beach decorations. Not sure if it’s because it’s summer or because it’s Dana Point. The only complaint I have is that the produce section is a bit tight. It’s hard to walk around with a cart in that section. But they have the nicest Ralphs staff I have ever met. Even the manager was on the floor greeting & assisting customers.

I buy most of my groceries at the nearby Trader Joe’s or Farm to Market in San Juan, but there are usually a few things that still require a «regular» grocery store and I think this is the best one around. The selection is good, the store is well-organized and clean, and the staff is friendly and professional. There is a decent sushi bar and deli for those lazy nights when I don’t feel like cooking. And, two Redbox kiosks that seem to have a better selection than other Redboxes in the area. The crowd and staff are also less sketchy here as compared to other grocery stores close by(i.e. Ralphs on PCH and Albertsons on Del Obispo).

The isles in the store are super tight, but I put up with it because their sushi bar is great. Their sushi is prepared fresh daily(they even take special orders) and although it doesn’t bring the same experience as going to your local sushi bar, it definitely feels great to be able to take home a few rolls, take your shoes off and sit in front of your TV. The best part is being able to crawl into bed after having too much sake and beer!
