I rarely go to Starbucks these days and this is one of the reasons why. While we were in town for a weekend getaway, I popped in quickly to get a non-fat iced latte. I usually give my drinks a taste before I leave any coffee shop but for whatever reason, I didn’t taste it until we were a few miles down the road. The coffee tasted really burnt and bitter – and I could tell it was not non-fat milk. My husband doesn’t drink non-fat milk and can’t stand the taste and he could even tell it was regular. He also couldn’t get passed the horrible taste. It’s such a shame because while they got me in and out real quick, they didn’t need to rush my drink. I was the only one in the store at the time and they should’ve taken the time to make my drink right. Unfortunately, we were a block away from the freeway by the time I tasted and we didn’t want to turn around to get another. Waste of time and money!

I’d been to this location in the past and the service was slow. Came back and it looks like they’ve got it together. Super friendly and fast orders.

I very much enjoy coming to this location! The staff is so sweet and they appreciate how valuable your time is. The patio is always nice and clean, rarely ever crowed. Would recommend :)

I am usually not a Starbucks fan and will not drink their regular brew but I came in today to try a cup of this years Kona Estate. For $ 5 a cup and $ 70 a pound I can see it is worth it. The barista Jordan made it perfectly and Will also added great customer service. My once a year visit to Starbucks was a success; now back to the real artisans coffee shops around.

Worst experience here. I’ve always been drinking iced soy green tea latte with whipped cream. Ordered here and was too milky and less tea. I came back to get it fixed, the girl didn’t even say sorry but gave me the look and said its usually not shaken and she shaken it for me. I’m only concerned of the taste of the cup she’d fixed. All I asked was for extra scoops of green tea powder and she was unhappy to do so. She gave me extra scoops of green tea but splatter all over the cup and counter and didn’t even clean it up, I end up grabbing napkins to clean HER mess. Such a bad customer service especially coming from Starbucks? Starbucks usually have happy and bubbly people! Why is this girl here?! This review is base only on one girl who works at this location, I’m just disappointed so I had to write a bad review. I’m sure everyone else is nice there.

*** Pit stop review(Dana Point) *** Dropped by for some morning grub. This place is located right off of PCH. The spacious parking lot makes for an easy pit stop, in & out. This Starbucks is super clean, great friendly service, the patrons are nice and friendly, parking was super easy for large vehicles. I can’t think of anything bad to say :-) Food = standard(as expected) Seating area = clean Service = friendly Restroom = clean

I only am giving them TWOSTARS because they have a CLOVERMACHINE! they are just lucky for the great location and little patin seating… but honestly the service is awful… the people literally look like that hate everything… you walk in fine you walk out like(excuse my language) you want to cut yourself… there doesn’t seem to be smiles there doesn’t even seem to be welcoming… it just doesn’t give you the starbucks experience especially since there are so many stores in the area… i would drive a half mile to the other side of pacific island drive to the alicia location that has a clover. the staff their is amazing

This Starbucks ticked me off to no end… The fact that I have been battling the flu for a week along with having some time of my hands while I recover leads to be telling the world about my bad experience with this location… Went to the drive through ordered a grande iced coffee unsweetened and no room. Which means I want my coffee cold and black and to the top… They put that nasty sugar alcohol sweetener in it… That was my boyfriends drink… My drink… Just so you know. If someone orders a Grande Zen Green Tea in a Venti cup, double cupped with two honey in 75 degree weather in Dana Point that is code for that bitch in that car is sick. Get her god damn drink right for the love of all that is holy! Unfortunately this location didn’t get that memo… What I got instead of that wonderful spearminty honey infused throat soothing goodness was a double cupped double bagged venti, filled to the rim, green zen tea with NOHONEY and no cup hugger… This is what really pisses me off. I saw the packets of honey in that lazy little fu**ers hand as he was closing the window. I suggest skipping this location… Go further up the coast to Monarch and get your coffee there… Giving a crap about getting the customers drink correct is not in the cards for these arrogant little high school punks that truly don’t give a shit…

Prior to heading a dinner /Xmas party in Dana Point I used Unilocal and discovered a Starbucks was located in the same parking lot. I figured I would beat traffic and check out a new Starbucks if I arrived early. Well I did arrive early and just like Unilocal said, there was Starbucks located right across the parking lot from where my dinner /Xmas party was being held. This Starbucks is located in a large parking lot that shares its space with several stores, restaurants and supermarkets. Without question this shopping center is scaled more towards the high end client. I walked inside this Starbucks and observed it to be quite empty with no line. The Starbucks itself has quite a view chairs to relax in and a bar seating section. After driving for a little over an hour I wanted to wash my hands prior to ordering anything. As I approached the men’s bathroom a Starbucks employee was mopping the bathroom which is nice to see. After using the bathroom I approached the cashier to order my drink. Of course I decided to go with a hot ‘San OB,’ for those of you who have not tried a ‘San OB’ yet, you are missing out. I ordered my drink and asked for 3 packets of organic agave syrup and was handed them with no problem. As I waited for my drink I watched the cashier and the barista get into an argument in front of customers which I found to be quite weird and completely unprofessional. After I obtained my drink I walked over to the condiment section and found it to be filthy. The condiment section had dried coffee stains that appeared to be there for such a long time that they had completely dried and seemed sticky because all types of fuzz was attached to the circular stains. The condiment section also had paper straw wrappers and napkins spread out that had obviously been used. I honestly found it to be quite disgusting. I fixed my drink and went out to my car to drink it. After 30 – 45 minutes had passed I walked back inside this Starbucks to use the bathroom again before heading to my dinner /Xmas party event and the stains were still there which is beyond gross. This Starbucks offers a large outdoor seating section that is elevated and gives you a good view if you enjoy people watching. This Starbucks is without question missing a fire pit of some sort especially being so close to the water. I doubt I will be back to this area again anytime soon but if I was to come back I would find another Starbucks to visit.

Crushed under their own success. Drive through line is always long and is always blocking the entrance to the parking lot. You need to go around the block and come in from the back in order to park. The free wifi has brought in a clientel that parks themselves for HOURS making it difficult to find a seat. My experience with the staff has always been friendly. This location has become a Dana Point homeless shelter. There are at least five individuals that are in this location from open to close. When another customer inquired about them, the employee’s response was«They live here.» Even though I do not know Starbucks policy on dealing with the homeless or loitering, it is off putting to see the same individuals always parked in their favorite chairs regardless of the time of day that I visit.

It’s Starbucks: you get what you expect, yummy coffee. This location is usually very quick making the drinks and they are always on point. I’ve never had a burned or icky tasting one. People like to sit on the patio in the afternoon, but the service is still very fast.

This location was very ideal, close to the beach we were having fun at. It was beginning to get chilli so I went to buy a Coffee Traveler, serves about 10 – 12 cups of coffee. They supply creamer, sugar, napkins, and wooden stirs to go.

I don’t know what it is about this Starbucks, but I hate this one! I avoid it at all costs. I go to Starbucks about 20 times a week(no joke). I have been here 3 times and they were all terrible experiences. The people working here all seem to hate their jobs and people in general! Plus, the coffee sucks. It’s a shame to have to avoid a place that is pretty convenient for me, but I do because it is just that terrible.

Coffee was good but the service was very slow… three employees, one stocking and emptying trash allow a very long line and for one person to fill all the orders.

I venture to Starbucks every now and then and I can say that this location has some of the friendliest employees. I’ve been to this location at different times of the day and I’ve been greeted warmly each time. This is in major contrast when compared to the Starbucks down on Alicia/Crown Valley. I’ll definitely keep returning to this Starbucks when I get a craving — as long as me and my boyfriend stay together since he lives a block away.

I’m not a big fan of Starbucks but I can appreciate them to some degree. This is a quaint location with a great view of the beach. Seating can be limited during rush hour but customer service is excellent here. They greeted me with smiles and remembered my name throughout the entire order, checkout, and«pick up drink & breakfast» process. I ordered the zebra mocha(white chocolate mocha with chocolate syrup). It’s my 2nd drink of choice next to the espresso truffle which is no longer served. I also love the fact that you can get breakfast here and it’s pretty healthy too. My current favorite is the spinach feta wrap. While I still prefer other coffee shops, I can tolerate Starbucks when I need to.

I’m not sure if the guy behind the register was hungover, feeling ill or whatever, but I had to repeat my one-drink order three times. Irritating.

I was so happy to move to a neighborhood that had a Starbucks drive-thru. The only problem is that it is so slow, sometimes it takes more than 20 minutes to get my drink. Oh well, guess I just need to not be so lazy and try to go inside sometime, but it’s too difficult with two toddlers in tow.

So, I’m going to be completely honest when I say that I have an unfortunate Starbucks habit. I’ve tried to slowly break away, but the habit has only gotten worse ever since I have branched into the cold drinks! What started as a Venti Regular, then Triple, then Quad Non-fat 1-Splenda Wet Cappaccino has now been replaced by the twice or three-time daily Grande Iced Non-fat Latte with 1 Splenda. With this expensive and all-too-often habit, I need to have a good Starbucks! I’ve gone to all the Starbucks in the area and nothing really can compare to the Monarch Bay Plaza locale. The baristas and employees are top-notch in the personality department– they are friendly, sociable, patient, and if you are somewhat regular, they actually care to learn your orders and name quickly. At the end of the day, when you’re frequenting the place so often, you want to feel welcome, and the team here does a great job of that– the rest is just a bonus!(i.e., the drinks are consistent, the location itself is pretty clean, the seating situation is good, the outdoor patio has a decent number of chairs/tables/benches/umbrellas, parking is ample, etc.) The only downside to my high-rating review is that it does get pretty busy sometimes. For me, that isn’t so great when I’m running late to class, but it sure is good for business, and heck, they deserve it! ;)
