This is my all time favorite deli. I am pretty sure that this is a family owned deli & they all work together. The environment is so welcoming and friendly. The food is amazing! I love it. Deff recommend it!!!

here every day. Breakfast is outstanding, BEC’s are delicious and the Legend is the best on the menu. Have had just about everything on the menu, and every choice is top-notch. The boys are great, like family to me., you can’t find another deli around with better customer service. Will continue to spend my paychecks here.

I LOVE Kapetins! My favorite breakfast place! The people who work there are so nice and the food is delicious! I always get the green goblin(egg wrap with veggies) and they put home fries on it for me!

I wish they had oatmeal, but it’s a well-run little deli.

Great food, excellent service. These sammiches are the best. They are definitely made with love. My only complaint is that I wish it was bigger to accommodate more seating! They have the best customer service, food and atmosphere around!

Not the best when it comes to getting your order right. LTO-O&V no T today pal. 15minute wait for an egg sandwich I couldn’t wait any longer for was the last time I swore I’d never go back. Tried again today my grilled chicken was nothing great for $ 7 and no tomato… I see burnt Grinder rolls on orders an cheeseless mozzarella sticks too. I’ll just keep packing my own lunch instead and put the money in my own pocket instead. Overrated at best.

The absolute best sandwich shop in Danbury. I’ve been there on three different occasions ordering different items off the menu. Each time was amazing the service was great even though the placed was packed. The food was always fresh and very tasty. I plan on returning when I’m back in town.

I try to get to Kaptein’s at least once a week. Super friendly staff and I have never had a bad sandwich. Not a ton of seating(could use an outside picnic table!) but the food is awesome. I highly recommend the Melo, cold with lettuce and tomato. Definitely the best deli in Danbury, I have tried a ton.

As an old deli guy myself I gotta say they have one of the best Italian combos around. Great bread, great meat. Breakfasts are good too.

Our household passed by this deli last weekend and never knew it was there. We looked up the menu when we got home, and decided to try it for lunch yesterday. WOW! This is the REALDEAL and we are pumped to have them in the neighborhood. First, it’s completely contemporary in its design(menu and the actual deli itself), which means it looks and feels much cleaner than some of the old stand-by’s that rest on their laurels. The owner and his team were super nice and engaged all customers. Nice guys! Also, loved that the signature sandwiches brought a little something interesting to the sometimes boring world of delis(their sun-dried tomato mayo was delicious!). ALLBREADSAREFROMAUTHURAVENUEINTHEBRONX!!! You can’t get any better than this. Enjoyed our experience so much we went back for breakfast this morning and got a classic B, E & C. Again, the awesome bread! Anyway, looking forward to making this a must-eat, go-to option for lunch and breakfast.

I have to be honest. I dont know what all the rave reviews are about. Went today and ordered a roast beef with lettuce, mayo and cheese on a wedge. The best part of the sandwich is the bread. If it wasnt a real wedge bread I would think I was eating Subway. The sandwich is thin to say the least and very disappointing for $ 8.50. I am now convinced that there isnt one single decent deli in all of Danbury. tip to the owners — The bread should never be thicker than the stuffing.

I love this place! This place feels like coming home, honest to God. The guys will get you whatever you’re hungry for. I was working overnights w/my buddies and as soon as they opened up shop at 6AM we’d be right there ready to order up some food. We were there every morning for a week straight. Their Beckies(Bacon, Egg & Cheese) hits the spot every time. We’d get creative and get bagels with avocado too. The brothers would be down to fix up whatever we wanted. I like my Becky w/eggs over medium on a roll. They cook it up just right every time. My mouth is watering just writing this review. Go to Kaptein’s! This place is fantastic.

I popped in for breakfast and found this gem joint. The sandwich go got was huge and filling. I say at the counter and watched theater at work. These guys have a clean and busy joint. Friendly and thorough the counter guy helped me quickly decide. My sandwich was well made delicious and filling. The coffee was very good and the people in and out the door tell me that this place is a total neighborhood hit!

Alright, So I might be the first 4 star guy rating these guys, but that’s only because I haven’t had lunch there yet. I started today with one of their breakfast sandwiches, and I can tell you that it was everything I was looking for, the perfect breakfast burrito — eggs, cheese, bacon, salsa and some potatoes. Oh man, my breakfast needs were totally satisfied. I also talked with Will and Will, both two great guys(and not to mention the orchestration the other employees performed as customers strolled in and left with their orders), but I could tell this is a place, a fine deli that I will come back to multiple times. I know I only gave you guys 4 stars, but I will be back to amend(plus, I mean, if I gave you 5, you wouldn’t have anything to work up to)… So yeah, go grab yourself a sandwich to go or dine in the deli, you will be satisfied.

Came on a long weekend and everything else was closed. Took a chance to see if it was open, success! It was open! Ordered a clam chowder and a mad Hatter totaling $ 12 and change. The sandwich was phenomenal with two slices of chicken with lettuce in between instead of the normal one piece of chicken on top of lettuce. The clam chowder was a touch too salty but the creaminess was spot on. Perfect for warming up on a cold day.

My choice of food is rarely ever deli foods or sandwiches but this place is by far the best deli in danbury! Delicious and flavorful food, I’ve never been disappointed. Friendly staff and not too long of a wait for my food. And a nice place to sit if you want to eat there. I highly recommend this place.

I finally got around to ordering breakfast from here last week and was definitely not disappointed. The Green Goblin should be your go to, especially if you’re a fan of avocado. The combination of onions, tomatoes and the avocado give the wrap sort of a guacamole taste which I loved. I also added in bacon and hot sauce just because everything is better with them. Still frequenting this place and still highly recommend it.
