One of the best delis in the area. The sandwiches are awesome and the portions are substantial. Fresh food with a lot of variety for menu options. Prices are good for what you get. Definitely better than bagelman for sandwiches.

Let’s start with Lou and his wife. Nicest people I’ve met in a long time. Very fast and helpful staff as well. The food is absolutely fascistic. It’s like I’m already on Arthur Ave. You just know you’re about to have a great meal when you set foot in Lou’s.

Lou’s is probably one of the things that I miss most about living in Danbury. I have since moved down to the South Jersey/Philly area and honestly I have yet to find a breakfast sandwich as good as the ones that Lou makes. Everything is always fresh, the portions are huge, and the whole staff is courteous. Next time I’m back up in the area I will definitely be stopping by, but until then my search for a good local breakfast sandwich continues. Miss you, Lou!

Friendly staff, great for lunch and portions are very plentiful. Make sure you either come early before the lunch crowd or after, it gets very busy. I had come between 12:30pm and 1pm and I waited about 15 minutes to order and receive my food. The portions are big for their sandwiches. I usually order the prosciutto, motz, and oil/balsamic and they gave my a heaping load of meat. and for $ 8, that’s a deal. Another good classic is their italian combo on a hoagie. It comes with all the fixings including hot and sweet peppers, makes for a filling meal.

Went in as I was really late for lunch and I needed a kick ass sandwich. Usually a club is dependable and has the flavor and volume I need to knock me down past dinner. I ordered and the sandwich was ready in less than 3 minutes. Should have been my tipoff. The guy didn’t toast the bread(really, a Club Sandwich w/o toasted bread?). Mayo seemed to be MIA however there was a ton of turkey and exactly two strips of bacon. The sandwich sucked. I guess others have been more lucky with this place however I have to say it was lackluster at best. As I recall, this is the 3rd Italian deli to inhabit this space in the last 8 years. The owners of this business really need to step it up as there are other food choices on Millplain Road as well as in the rest of Danbury and surrounding parts.

Was looking for a good deli when we moved to the area nearly six months ago and fell in love with Lou’s. We love the salads where you can pick up to 5 items added to your greens of choice… there are so many choices! I’ve gotten several wedges/grinders/heroes and wraps and they were all fresh and delicious. The staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate. We’ve had family and friends over and ordered from Lou’s and everyone says how great it is.

Nice New York style deli. The staff is friendly and the sandwiches are good; try the Italian combo wedge. The large has enough meat to feed a small family. Reasonable prices, good food and a nice staff. Nothing fancy but a nice place.
