Our chicken fried rice was rice with boiled pieces of chicken, no taste in either. Sesame chicken was barely sauced and the beef teriyaki was dried out and seemed to have been cooked days ago. It wasn’t even warm. We live close but will be driving farther to get better Chinese next time.

The best part of this meal was the free bottle of Pepsi(for placing an order of over $ 35) The food was bland and uninspired. I had the crab rangoon, sesame chicken, beef lo mein, and egg drop soup. It was some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The sesame chicken was barely sauced and tasted like nothing. The crab rangoon was 99% cream cheese. Somehow the lo mein was also tasteless, and the egg drop soup smelled rotten. I really wanted to like this place because it’s so close to my home and offers delivery, but it’s safe to say I will never order from here again. I only hope I won’t be sick later tonight.

I’ll keep this short, terrible food, poor social skills by staff. I live 2 minutes from this place and don’t go.

I gotta give ‘em props. Normally I wouldn’t bother to Unilocal on a hole-in-the-wall chinese place in a city I no longer live near. But I’ll make an exception here, as this was the one I frequented most when I lived in the Danbury area. There’s not much to say other than that it’s quick, good and cheap. Yeah, you’ll probably hate it if you’re a Chinese food snob who cant stand the sight of grease, added salt, and gooey sauces. But if the previous is true, you’re probably having the wrong cuisine to begin with. But I love cheap Chinese crap food. And if you do too, you’ll at least like Fortune Cookie. Give ‘em a call for takeout or local delivery.

Typical Chineese take out restaurant with food quality that is well below competitive chineese in the area. My family avoids this establishment.

If this restaurant was magically transported to Zimbabwe or Kazakhstan then I would probably recommend it. However, in Danbury I’m giving it a thumbs down as there are actually better choices around for take-out. I’ve tried this place twice for lunch and was less than thrilled both times. My last(and final) experience involved the black bean«chicken» lunch special. I don’t know what meat it was supposed to be, but it wasn’t chicken. It had the texture of mealy apples, a slimy coating, and weird varicose vein-like markings on the«meat». Try Panda House down the road instead.
