Good food; authentic music. I have enjoyed lunch, dinner, sushi — it’s all good to me!

Panda house has become degenerated like they are trying to cut costs. The dumplings are now filled with what seems leftover crumbs of broccoli and carrots instead of what used to be scallions and tofu. The meals come out 2 min after they are ordered and luke warm temp as if they are prepped ahead of time and kept in warmers in the back. We used to frequent here often but the food just keeps declining!

Exactly the food you’d want and lots of vegetarian options. We loved the General Tso’s tofu and the broccoli in garlic sauce. The scallion pancakes were so-so. The portions were moderate, but good for two people. Nice staff.

We were very pleased. Definitely the best Chinese food in the area. The service was very good. We enjoyed the dragon soup, steamed dumplings, and chicken with peanuts. Food was very tasty. Prices were reasonable. Definitely go there!

I tend to order out for pick up from this place when I am in the area. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. It’s good food, better than many places, but not fantastic. Great option for people staying at one of the nearby hotels. I have ordered from there 5+ times and never had an issue. I have tried beef, chicken and bean curd dishes. Last night was Beef with various vegetables with brown rice. I was afraid it might be a bit bland, but it was well seasoned with a nice brown sauce.

Large, slightly upscale Chinese/Japanese place with a sushi bar, I don’t do sushi so no comments there. As to Chinese, hot and sour soul was a bit bland and watery, disappointing. Ordered chicken with broccoli as I was just in the mood for something simple. This they did well, very good flavor and not greasy at all. Large portion(dinner) with usual rice choices. Decent beer/wine menu and prices reasonable. If you want good Chinese food likely a solid choice at least based on my very limited sampling. Might have been a 4 except for the lackluster soup.

Friendly and quick service. Food is fresh and cooked to our liking. Friendly to kids. Good variety. Really enjoyed the dragon and the Phoenix soup. My 11 year old really liked it, after tasting for the first time. We’ll be back!

We were new to the area and stopped here for dinner by chance. It was a sit in the restaurant meal and it was wonderful! It was so good that we started using the take out a few times. The first few times were ok, not the best we have had, but not bad. One thing we did notice was that even though one meal we kept on ordering over and over again, what we got was different each time. Don’t get me wrong, it was still good, but different… like a different size, or different veggies, crispy versus not crispy, etc. we eventually found a place that we love, but will still come here if we are in a hurry and in the area.

The food was average. I wasn’t wowed with my lunch order and it wasn’t what I thought it would be. The dumplings were gummy and my hot and sour soup was overly thick. So I don’t know if I would go back there.

I am EXTREMELY pleased to write this updated review regarding our ONCEFAVORITE, then horrible and now excellent place again! My wife and I visited this week in the hopes that things have improved. The answer, YES, IN A BIGWAY… The House Special Duck was excellent along with the chicken with cashew nut and the moo shu pork. Tea NICEANDHOT… I told the owner that we are pleased that after a long absence that we will be back again as regulars. Not sure if this was accidental or not, but a bit too much salt in all the dishes will prompt us to request no salt on next visit. This is the ONLY reason I have not given 5 stars… WELCOMEBACK !!!

WORST Customer Service! Ordered take out from them they forgot three orders of sushi and when i called them to tell them they didn’t believe me and were very rude about it. I usually quickly peek in the bag to make sure everything is accounted for but i forgot to this time because it was stapled shut. So she put me on hold then the manager asked if she could take my order. I informed her that I already placed and picked up my order and that i didn’t receive the sushi i ordered. she then asked do you have your sushi? I responded, no i do not and she said i have it here. so i drove back to pick it up and they didn’t even throw in some free fortune cookies or anything. They seem very unorganized and confused. i was very disappointed with there service.

The restaurant really need to work on their customer service skills. Did a take out on a Friday and they forgot to give me the rice that came with the entrée. So I decided to call them and point their mistake out. The first person said .the rice is there. You prob didn’t see it. Then she transferred me to the manager who had zero customer skills. No wonder the other girl was rude. So the manager said, next time you come i will give you two rice even if you need one. That’s all I can do… well, great. That was really helpful and great customer service as a manager. No apologies, then telling me that I am lying about the for freaking $ 2 rice(which was not important).it was the inconvenience of going out with two lil kids) once I got home to get rice. Will definitely get the word of mouth around so people are aware of your TERRIBLE and WORST customer service ever.

I like this place. I think they have a good menu, with a lot of choices. The food is good. I like both the shrimp fried rice and pepper steak. The portions are good sized. The service is good and friendly. The environment is clean and appealing. It is easy to find, not too far from I-84. It’s my favorite Chinese place in the area.

Typical Chinese food, except for the last time I got take out and an extra portion of food poisoning was included. I’ll never order from here again. I really battled over writing this review or not because I don’t like writing negative reviews, but in this case I think it’s warranted. Each time I ordered from here before my incident was consistent and fast, so take from this review what you will.

The Amazing chicken was not amazing. I do like their pancakes and their pan fried dumplings. Other than that. i was disappointed. Their lettuce wraps were subpar compared to PF Changs. The hot & sour soup was neither hot nor sour. It was just watery. Overall, i was disappointed and that was with already low expectations of this restaurant.

Normally the Panda House would start with –3 stars before tasting the food. Minus one for serving both Chinese food and sushi. Minus one for forks by default and having to request chop sticks. And minus one for serving fried won ton chips with orange chile sauce as an «appetizer» ala chips and salsa. But this is Danbury after all and from the look of the dinner crowd none of these Chinese preferences would appeal to the market. So starting with a clean slate, we rate only the food and service. The hot and sour soup was a surprise of smokiness and subtle sour with a wide assortment of traditional veggies. The green beans with ginger beef was quite tasty with the beans properly flash fried and interestingly micro fine ginger slices. So the food was 4 star and the sevice 3 star(slow to take the order and slow to bring the check with no service check during the meal).
