Low prices with a great amount of food! Menu is not very diverse, but the food is pretty great.

So, this review is long overdue. My Bf and I come here at least 2x week, if not more. It’s not only the incredible creations that come out of Sonny’s quaint little kitchen, but the heart– warming sensation you feel the minute you walk through the door. It’s as if you’re apart of the Sonny Side Up family. So please, do yourself a favor and go see Sonny and his awesome crew– tell him Mal and Rocco say hello! Pro tip: try the Sonny’s Special!

The Eggs Benedict were delicious. The sauce had a unique tang to it. My husband is addicted to the hash and eggs. Sonny’s eggs are always cooked to perfection.

The experience from walking in the door to walking out the door was flawless. The food is great the service is even better. The portion size for the price is outstanding. The omelets are very fresh and cheesy. The bacon and sausage are enormous and outstanding, and the biscuits and gravy brought us home to South Carolina. This will be a regular for us in the future.

Always love this place, every time I come there’s friendly service and great food. What amazes me is the quantity of food you get, if you want a bang for your buck you need to come here, and Sonny always comes out to greet his customers he really cares about keeping them, keep it up sonny!

Let me start by saying I never leave poor reviews, but this place was an experience worth complaining about. I would give a half star if I could… I felt like I was eating grease topped with homefries … Also when you order the corner beef hash and then over hear the head«cook» /owner say«I can’t believe anyone eats this s**t»…it’s a turn off. Awful food. The waffle was good, but you know it’s just batter and an iron, no magic there.

Food was good but place is very dirty– I’ve seen highway gas station bathrooms cleaner. My water cup had chips all along the rim– can’t believe they are still using it!

Classic ma and pop place. No frills with an authentic feel with classic food. You feel like you are in Pleasantville. Everyone knows each other and you want them to know you too. It’s really not the food here but the experience. Just go.

Great american fries. Good eggs and good gravy. Biscuits could have been better. But a good start on the morning. Coffee also good.

Waitress was eating French fries at the counter while she was taking my order. The staff complained the entire time about the the work and customers… They were more interested in reading the Sunday sales paper. You could tell they were completely understaffed. The cook was shouting orders out from the curtain was rude. Waitress kept complaining to customers which was highly unprofessional. Not for sure how long this place has been in business, but hoping they can make necessary adjustments in order to start providing great customer service. I’ll let you know how the food is. Ok, so the food is just ok… I had the #3(pancakes, eggs and choice of meat) plus a cup of coffee… $ 11. My cup was empty three times before being refilled. Overall, I would recommend you not visit this restaurant. Drive the 25 miles and go to the Cracker Barrel. It is so much better.

Being a staple during driver’s ed classes, Sonny Side Up was my savior(and I’m sure many others’ who also took driving lessons next door). I looked forward to that bacon egg and cheese on a bagel every morning because it was cooked perfectly. It’s been tough to get back there since I don’t go out for breakfast too often, but I figured I’d live a little this past weekend and reminisce on some great memories. Sonny’s looks the same, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just exactly the way I remember it being. The waitresses were super nice and the food was obviously just as good. I ended up with the kitchen sink omelette while my friend got the Sonny Special, something I normally go for, but it was way too much for this morning. Food came out quick and the service was attentive, no complaints. I’ve never had a bad breakfast/brunch at Sonny’s, period. Whether you order the Sonny Special, pancakes, or a fat omelette, you’re guaranteed to leave there full and happy.

Food was good and the portions were large. The service was a little slow but very friendly. The kitchen sink omelette was really good with lots of fillings: huge chunks of sausage, half strips of bacon, a ton of veggies. The home fries were good, but they had a buttery sort of taste to them and they were on the greasy side. Definitely not light. The toast and coffee were also very good. The corned beef hash was pretty disappointing. Not a lot of restaurants make their own corned beef hash from scratch, but most places will do a little more than take it out of a can and over-cook/burn it on a griddle. Overall a good experience. I was worried because I had read through the negative reviews, but a lot of it was unfounded in my opinion. The food was tasty and it was an excellent value for the money.

I am incredibly behind on my Unilocal reviews — anyway, we’ve got family in CT and while visiting, they brought us here as it’s one of their regular stops. Very good, no frills, home cooking. ‘Nuff said.

Basically a no frills, Southern greasy diner. The place is very homey and seems like it has it’s fair share of regulars, but the was place was just OK. I found this place on Unilocal and I figured the breakfast should be awesome since they only serve breakfast and lunch, they close at 2pm. The food: #8 Two eggs sunnyside up, corned beef hash with a biscuit and a side order of bacon. The eggs were made well, the corned beef hash was OK, but it was salty for me. I love crispy bacon, but the one here is borderline burnt, it did have a nice crunch but the edges were black. The biscuit was just so so, a premade biscuit, cut in half then reheated on the flatop. My big issue was the greasy feeling I had when I left the restaurant, it had to have been the bacon or the corned beef.
