I showed up at Stew’s to get a fairly expensive bottle of Cognac at 8:05 PM, and was under the impression they were open until 9pm (my mistake, they were open until 8pm). The very elderly security guard was so unbelievably rude to me I was utterly appalled. I am not one to take my offenses up on social media, however this was exceptional. The new Unilocal app crashes on my phone every time I open it, so I have taken the effort to write this on my computer (shows how unhappy I am with the experience). I have lived in Danbury for quite a few years now and was a frequent shopper at stews. No more. I took my business somewhere else rather than come back another day, and was pleasantly surprised to find a little package store on rt. 37 had better pricing that Stew’s on several of my common purchases. Sorry Stew, you will never see me again in your liquor store, and it wasn’t even your standard associates that caused it.

What a selection! Great price range. Wines starting as low at $ 7.99!
Hubby and I spent close to $ 110 on wines that were priced from $ 7.99-$
9.99… Our wine fridge is full now.
