Stopped in for lunch with my wife it was not busy (weekday) the bar tender was friendly, we sat in bar area at a high table. Good songs on the Sound system –classic rock, not too loud. I ordered «soup of the day» potato/​cheese/​bacon/​sautéed onion it was very good, and wings with the house mustard sauce, also very good. My wife ordered BBQ beef bacon cheddar on sourdough, she also enjoyed it very much. Very good experience.

Love this place. Justine is a great bartender, and even though they serve RC Cola instead of Pepsi or Coke, I don’t drink that soda garbage so I don’t hold that against them. Go to a bar to drink booze you morons. Friendly place, friendly people, and honestly the best option in town.

While visiting my brother, and killing some time in town until he got off work, I decided to check out Jack’s Place for lunch based on Unilocal reviews. I’ll have to admit that this review might be a bit biased because (1) The bartender was really great, (2) My fish sandwich lunch special was a pretty decent size, tasty, and it arrived in short order, and (3) The bartender recommended local on-​tap craft beer was out of this world.
My impression is that the local’s really like Jack’s, and that is often a good sign. There are several good establishments in the area, but this one is old-​school NY Southern Tier.

Again, Jack’s Place gave us an incredible dining experience! If you are in or near Dansville NY you truly need to visit and enjoy the amazing food, delicious wines and beers while being waited on by friendly and enthusiastic staff! And lets not forget the talented kitchen staff who rocked cooking all of the wonderful appetizers and entrées… Great job everyone!!! WE LOVE THIS PLACE!

Just stopped here for a quick drink. Decent prices, nice atmosphere and friendly bartender! We were there around 5 so it was quiet and not a lot of people.

Took a break from stony brook state park for some food and came here because it was close. They were kinda in between lunch and dinner when we got there. Great draft list, got a small pizza and order of 10 wings to start. Pizza was great and te wings were perfection. They have a couple different flavors for the wings we got the hot and rasberry Cheyenne BBQ both delicious. Got a jalapeño burger with cheddar cheese cooked to a perfect medium. It was a big juicy burger you could tell it was fresh and not frozen, the fries it came with were perfect and crispy. Shared a fried iced cream for dessert. Great service and excellent food! All that and a IPA draft cost only $ 38 and everyone left full and happy! Definitely will be back when we have our next trip to stony brook

We shared an appetizer, soup, and cheddar mango jalapeño burger. The pulled pork egg rolls were just the right mix of crispy and savory, with a tasty filling. The cauliflower broccoli soup was so good that we didn’t add any seasoning. Delicious and creamy, not salty, but it didn’t need pepper either.
The burger was cooked exactly how we asked, and had a spicy zing from the jalapeños. Delicious crispy fries accompanied. The staff was very welcoming and accommodated our request to modify an entrée to become a perfect meal for our 3-​year old daughter.
To top it off, the chocolate peanut butter cake disappeared in about 30 seconds as we all shared and enjoyed it. We’ll definitely plan to stop here again. Great value, atmosphere, and food.

More of a bar than a restaurant. Place is pretty crowded and there was one server, we hung around for little while and then left to get faster service.

Surprisingly good food for a small-​town place. Whoever runs Jack’s kitchen obviously cares. Nice, casual atmosphere, a good place for a family dinner or a few beers and bar munchies.
EDIT: On subsequent visits to the Gaslight I’ve ordered their steaks, which were cooked perfectly as ordered and quite good.

Lakeville, NY
This is one of my favorite places to go eat, hang out, and have fun! They have great food all the time including their chicken wings, soups and subs, and more. You can eat in the great looking restaurant or sit at the bar and watch the game while you eat. The bar has lots to do like play pool and darts and more. The whole place is just the best including the people who work there! I would definitely recommend stopping here if your ever in the area!

This is for the bar side only, I came in and waited about 10 mintutes before I walked down and pretend to look at the tv that was behind the bartender just so I could get her attention, She finshed her convo and came down and asked what I’d like, I got a personal pizza pepperoni and sausage it was pretty good, I got a Bud Heavy, and it was bad I drank it anyways, she asked if I wanted another I said politley yes as long as it’s not expired blah blah etc… She asked a customer to find the date and brought it down I took a drink and it was bad, looked at the date and it was expired. Oh well they didn’t have Bud Heavy on tap so I finshed my beer and headed out. The rest of the guys with me there was 6 of us all drinking different beers oddly enough and all there beers were expired too! It’s a small town so guess next time I’ll go back to the norm and drink triple captin and cokes.
