Cosmic Tan

This salon is huge. Surprising since it’s tucked away in a small plaza on Route 1. I’m not big into tanning but will go for the occassional base tan before a vacation or to escape the winter blahs. They have all the latest, modern tanning booths/​beds (capsules?) and offer airbrush tanning (haven’t tried it yet but thinking I might). The owner is so nice and the place is immaculate. They even have separate men’s and women’s bathrooms. I’ve tried some of the latest and greatest equipment after asking the owner for advice (ie my skin type and the goal such as I have 5 days before leaving for vacation and would like a nice base tan pronto without a burn please?). She was very informative and my results were excellent. No burn! Each room is very roomy, there is a paper disposable mat for your feet (I always think about how nasty some places are that have a rug and god knows how many stinky feet having been on it) and a real hand towel (no paper towels) to wipe off after you are finished. Each room also has a nice little mirror so you can fix yourself up before heading out. Highly recommended! I’ve never made an appt and I’ve never had to wait.
I’m not sure of their regular business hours on other days but note they are open 12−4pm on Sundays.

I have been coming to this salon since it first opened when I was back in highschool. The owner, Erin, is a sweetheart and even when I went away to college and came back months later she still greated me by my first name when I walked through the door. The prices are competitive with other salons in the area, ask for the student discount if your a student!!! Always clean, variety of different beds, and never too long of a wait. If your looking for a salon to exceed your expectations cosmic is it!

This tanning salon is truly as good as it gets! First off, they are super clean. That’s very important to me! I can’t even tell you how many tanning salons I’ve walked into and wanted to immediately turn around and run for the door. To see old, dirty and dusty décor is a tip off to how well the equipment is being cared for — and is just plain gross! Cosmic Tan’s décor is adorable. You actually feel like you are in some far off galaxy — trust me, you have to see it to believe it! But the biggest plus is the equipment. They have beds and booths of all different levels and it amazes me how quickly I can achieve the color I want — and it lasts! Their equipment is quality! And the owner is super nice (and the staff). I always feel special because she remembers my name, even if I haven’t been in in some time. I live about 25 minutes away and drive there because it’s by far the best tanning salon I’ve ever used. Worth every penny! The only thing that bums me out is this new 10% tax on tanning salons!
