Pizza is great but I just had a cheesesteak and kinda disappointed. It was a little chewy and not much taste to it. I had a few bites and then fed it to my dog! She loved it!

Typical sub shop but the portions are tiny. Gio’s «large» cheese steak is smaller than most places small size subs or sandwiches. Plenty of other places to go in downtown Danvers.

Well Gios I tried you yet again due to my son having a friend sleep over and wanted a pizza with buffalo chicken, seriously $ 18 for a pizza with only half buffalo chicken n other half cheese! This is the same place that pushes 2lg cheese pizzas for 10.99 two days out of the week! tonight finalized my business with you! The girl who picked up the phone was much nicer than last time!!! Sorry but there happens to be too many food places downtime to continue with you!

I’m not quite sure what all the bad reviews are all about. While the pizza was a bit greasy I thought that the taste was great. I really liked the crust, not too thin, not too thick and it had a good crunch to it. If I ever found myself in the area again I’d certainly go back.

I didn’t think there was a such thing as bad pizza until 5 minutes ago when I tried Gio’s. Completely flavorless, tastes like cardboard and almost no sauce. Biggest waste of money. Any other pizza place in the square is much better and worth the extra 30 second drive.

Ordered delivery today. The delivery was quick and the driver was friendly. My American sub was good, but had way to much mayo but after I fixed it, was fine. I ordered fries and a pizza roll, both were gross. The fries had no flavor and weren’t warm. They were almost mushy. The pizza roll was burnt and was just not good. Overall, it wasn’t worth the $ 16 I paid. But I’d go back just for a sub. I’ll get my fries and sides elsewhere.

Though the food was okay at best. The service was outstandingly TERRIBLE. There is a young girl who works the front desk who looks absolutely miserable. «Can I get a small steak Bomb?» «Here or to go?»(with an eye roll included. «Here, oh I’m going to grab a ca n of soda too» «ugh, is that it?» «Yeah» «7.88.»… Wait for about 15 minutes, watch several other people enter and order after us and get their food much faster. Finally someone notices we are waiting and have been for a long time and asks us about our order. Meanwhile the young miserably girl stares at me with such disdain that I felt like I was going to explode. I will NEVER give them my money ever again. Worst customer service I have seen in my life. Working in the Industry myself, I know what is appropriate and what is grounds for dismissal. Fire her or you’ll lose many more customers.

Was there last night to pick up my order, the food is great here, long time customer, and I’ve had two issues the last time here, what’s going on? Last night two older woman in their 30/40’s were arguing crazy in front of us making all the customers very uncomfortable. Lady’s you need to vent or act like children go out back outside and do your thing, there were kids in there also. Grow up! Last week I ordered spaghetti/meatballs and got home but no meatballs. Called and Marco had them sent right up to me. People talk around here in Danvers, trust me there’s always a lot of drama in there most days so please just concentrate on your job. We’re all here to eat or pick up food after a long day of working and kids etc. Totally unprofessional, you’re losing customers and don’t even know it. Pretty sad because your food is pretty good for a quick take out place. Take care and just let us see the service and food being the priority. You’re screwing up a good thing!

Gio’s is the only place in Danvers that we buy our subs! We think they are the best take out of this type of food and will keep right on patronizing their establishment!

The chicken fingers are like shoe leather. Very thin and tough. Also they offer buffalo sauce to go with them but they don’t tell you there is an extra charge for it.

The customer service for last 3 times there has been horrible. They need to learn how not to be so rude to their customers! Won’t be going back! Too many choices in Danvers to put up with that!

Gio’s is a great option in an area jam packed with pizza and sub shops. Their calzone was the best I’ve had in a long time – very flavorful and not greasy. The lamb dinner was delicious, also. The pita bread, however, needs some help. It was super stale and thin, the worst pita I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Hopefully that was just a blip, because everything else was great.

Love this place. Good food friendly staff. We have been coming here since we moved to danvers 3 yrs ago. Traditional Greek style pizza place. Solid pizza and really good chicken kabob salads. There is nothing I wouldn’t try here but I’m a creature of habit. I usually get takeout or delivery here.

you could go here for a turkey sub, or you could drive 5 minutes down the road to to new bridge deli where you’ll get 5 times the amount of turkey for the same price, and same quality. this place is a rip off.

The best place around for a quick meal. The staff is very friendly including the owner who is very interactive with my always entertaining son… when time allows, of course. Salads are always a concern when I eat out and I have never found one bit of wilted lettuce in the salads. Everything is as fresh as one can expect(and we expect a lot). The TV is often too loud but they are always accomodating when I ask for it to be reduced.

Gio’s is everything I want in a sub shop. Quick, friendly, accommodating and inexpensive. There’s a long list of subs, pizza, calzones, wraps and that North Shore specialty, the roast beef. The atmosphere is what you would expect, with a TV tuned to local news and framed Bourque sweaters(B’s and Avs) on the wall. I had a large cold veggie sub with American cheese($ 5.15), a bag of Utz sour cream and onion chips($ 1.00) and a 20 oz. soda($ 1.60). A perfectly fine place for lunch!!!
