H&R Block

BUYER BEWARE. Please be sure to call for a quote before doing your taxes. I hadn’t been to block in many years as I have a private accountant who comes to my house, but he was unable this year due to medical issues. I don’t have a complicated tax refund and it took only about 20 minutes. She was cordial etc etc and then said she was giving me a $ 25.00 off if I texted to block. (I am now waiting for the junk text messages to start rolling in) I knew then when she said she was taking $ 25 off, the amount would be more than the amount I normally pay, but they have overhead etc. I almost fainted when she said $ 233.00. It is my fault for not calling beforehand I guess to ask for a quote, but I never had this problem with them before. For that price, I could have done the taxes myself, and be rest assured I will in the future rather than going to them. I would have paid $ 150 just for my time and convenience, but that amount, add 25 is more than highway robbery and they will never have my business again. I will be sure to warn everyone about them moving forward. They won’t see a dime of my money again. Lesson learned.
