Jack’s Takeout

This place is great. It’s a pretty small place on a residential road and I came to check it out based on its great Unilocal reviews for lunch — I was not disappointed!
I got a cheese steak since many reviews recommended that and it was delicious. Portion size was perfect, steak was cooked to order, and the sub roll was delicious. Price was totally reasonable (~$ 6).
The best part, though, was the friendly/​local atmosphere. I love small, local places that have regulars and treat their customers like friends who they are actually happy to see when they come in to their shop. As I waited for my sandwich, a few regulars came in and were greeted by first name. My order came to $ 8.03 (I got chips too) and the man behind the register said «That’ll be $ 8.03, let’s make it $ 8 with the family discount.» It’s that type of customer service that’ll keep me coming back — then add the quality of the food — I’ve found a new favorite spot for lunch.
Jack’s, if you ever need help advertising to folks at the Cummings Center, let me know — you guys are definitely a hidden gem.

Best Place for an affordable breakfast or lunch which is hard to find these days! The cranberry walnut chicken salad (i ask for a strip of bacon on it!) is amazing. In fact everything I have tried really is great, cheesesteaks are cooked awesome, and the specials are unbeatable! Cooked to order fresh food for the same prices as Subway and you dont have to eat nuclear cooked food in some weird micro-​oven!!!

The food here is superb!
I started going this week and have eaten breakfast here three days in a row. The food is fresh and delicious. It’s made to order quickly. The coffee is very tasty not overly strong but not weak either. The service is quick, friendly and with a smile. I enjoy watching the TV for the quick few minutes it takes to make my meal from scratch.
I’m looking forward to trying everything on the menu.
I highly recommend Jack’s Take out to any one that is in the Danversport area.

I have been going to jacks for about a month now. I have to say it is a great place to get a quick breakfast. The breakfast is served fast and served with a smile. The food is high quality and I have yet to be disappointed with anything I have ordered.
I would rather go here than custom cup or daily harvest.

Ordered a steak and cheese sub and was very disappointed. The steak itself isn’t bad but the sub was so greasy and soggy it was practically unedible. My wife got a buffalo chicken wrap that had way too much hot sauce! Considering the other reviews I thought this place was going to be a lot better. The food alone would have only gotten 2 stars but the staff was friendly so they 3.

This is as good as a sub shop gets. I stop in here for lunch maybe once a month. There are always specials available. All hot subs are cooked to order. That sizzle of the cheesesteak meat hitting the grill tells you it’s fresh. Steak bombs are great. Fries and onion rings are great. Had a hot pastrami and it was just OK.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The girls are really friendly and the food is awesome. I’ve only actually had the Chicken Kabob Salad but it’s so good that I HAVE to get it everytime!

Jacks is a fantastic, friendly, clean sub/​sandwich place. Service is outstanding, prices are great, and the food is Awesome. Cheeze steaks are out of this world. Also they have great wraps. They always have a great special or two going every day for something different. Highly reccomended.
