I just visited Elisa Wen’s new location in Danville this weekend, and it rocks! I have to admit, I never really went in because I’ve always thought the prices were astronomical… but I took a peak in there this weekend and I’m so glad I did! Tons of cute(and actually affordable!) clothes. I had been having the hardest time finding a dress to wear to an upcoming wedding, and fell in love with about three different styles at Elisa Wen. Really unique yet classy designs that definitely don’t blend in to the rest of the stuff out there. Elizabeth was a great help and helped me find the perfect dress.

Staff was very friendly… and helpful. This is a great spot for unique dresses that won’t look like what everyone else is wearing. They have great sales… and a revolving selection. I was in a few weeks ago and saw a number of adorable dresses…

When I need a sure thing for a wedding or special event, I go straight to this store and don’t waste time. The dresses are in the 3 – 4 hundred dollar range, but of such quality and taste that I wear them several times. Sales staff is fine.

They always greet me upon entry which is such a little thing but important to me and they set up a dressing room. I have found a few cute tops here including this black top from Plastic Island — Demi Couture which ran me $ 170. I bought it several months ago and still haven’t worn it, just waiting for the right occasion I guess. I also found my favorite pair of Paige jeans here. They have some great D&G dresses but I always have nowhere to wear them. $ 400 is too expensive for me to spend on a Vegas clubbing dress. They also have a great rack of guy’s clothes. The bf forked over $ 130 for a dress shirt, this guy still wears clothes from college so it was a big spend for clothes for him. But if you think the inventory stays the same for the women, they really don’t change for the men for several months! They are also opening a store in Danville, yay! When I shop at Broadway Plaza I park at Macy’s and am usually too tired to walk all the way to this store in my 3 ½ inch heels.

meh. the owner is nice and helpful but otherwise the staff is just meh. i do agree with other Unilocalers though that the stock does sit on the rack for long periods of time. the sales are rare and not that great. i like to support local business but i rarely find things i want here.

Normally I walk right by Elisa Wen because its merch is way too expensive for me(Michael Stars is nice, but I really don’t need to spend $ 50 on a tank top), but a few weekends ago I needed a nice cocktail dress so I stepped inside. The salesgirl was really sweet(but they all seem really young!) and picked out a bunch of things for me to try on. They were very patient as I took like an hour in the changing room(I’m slow at everything in life, especially when it involves dropping $ 200 or $ 300 on a dress that you can’t return except for store credit), but I didn’t feel like they were giving their honest opinions when I asked for advice. «That looks amazing on you!» they’d say, as weird rib shapes poked through the dress, or «That fits great!» when the fat under my arms bulged out over the dress. The dresses were cute, but they just didn’t fit quite right, and I ended up heading over to Betsy Johnson, where the salespeople really knew their stuff, and dropped my cash there instead. At least it’s nice to find a local, independent store in Walnut Creek.

This place is a waste of good space(literally, it is spacious). I love downtown Walnut Creek and this place is pretty catchy below the steak house. I went in there 2 times when I was trying to kill time waitng for my movie(theater is across the street). I was bored. Michael Stars… yawn…nothing I can’t find at Macy’s(which I do not like). Yes, they may have some high end brands but can we say«outdated?» I went there about 4 months apart and they had the same stuff… and there were some tackalicious dresses in the back and flower girl dresses(talk about wide range of assortments)? Wierd. Not my type of boutique, if they don’t spice up their inventory I will not surprised if this place closes shop in a few years. The staff is pretty terrible. I received compliments on my bag and shoes each time I went in, but it sounded so fake. I hate places like this.

the dresses here are not cheap — ranging in the hundreds of dollars. but if you want something different, something from a non-chair clothing store and willing to spend money on cute fashion, you might want to try this place. i bought two dresses, one for attending weddings as a guest, and another for dance/ball parties. the first dress cost me ~$ 300(and i would rarely spend more than 100 on one clothing item!), but the item was very befitting my taste and wedding attendance, and i’ve worn it 3 – 4 times over two years(i save it for nice occasions). if i had a lot of money to burn on cute expensive clothing, this place would be one of the top stores on my list. customer service was not very memorable. parking was alright in the vicinity.

I know they have cute stuff BUT the service on the day I went left me disenchanted to say the least. Now, I know the importance of keeping oneself well groomed and such and I am all about looking my best whenever possible(for me and not others of course!) yet on the one day after my yoga class this was not quite the case. I walked in looking for a cute dress for a dinner and dancing date in the city and what happens? The first thing I noticed from the sales person was her dismissive and slightly disaproving look. I was wearing a yoga tank and a nicer pair of yoga pants(nuala? i don’t know…) anyway, what gives? I shrugged it off at first and then noticed how short they were when I asked them questions. Like they couldn’t care less! I was truly disappointed since I try to convince my friends about the many un-snobby places in WC – guess this one doesn’t make my list. ps. I did find a fab dress though — at deliciouz!

High-end boutique. It’s spacious, friendly and really sunny on the inside.(You’d be surprised but it makes a huge difference from the boxed-in boutique with harsh lighting.) The clothing is fantastic: you’ve got some Dior tees, Malandrino dresses and sweet gym gear. I like that it’s right next to a huge Andronico’s.
