I tried this place 2 years ago as was disappointed. The gentleman who gave me a massage then had the office cell phone on him while massaging me and tools calls while massaging me. Was not relaxing and was quite annoying. But recently my back was in need of a massage from sitting at my desk all day for work. Wow, the woman who gave me a massage was amazing! She combined deep tissue, pressure points and soft long rubbing and my body felt new after! While the ambiance isn’t great it’s clean and quiet. Glad I tried it again. I recommend this place if you’re good with very strong hands and deep pressure.

They offer great service for a very reasonable price. Some therapists are better than others, but then I prefer a very deep hard massage and some therapists are stronger than others. Good concept — nothing too fancy, just a very reasonably priced spa.

2 Star for the same day appt convenience! Long story short, I don’t know which massage therapist I had although she was female. I requested a deep tissue massage– Instead I got my a** beat for :60 mins and I actually paid AND tipped for it! I promise I got pinched, scratched, sucker punched, kneeded and raked by knuckle techniques that were not used appropriately. It was the most uncomfortable and un-relaxing massage I’ve ever received. I was actually bruised around my lower back/spine area and shoulder blades the next day– And hear me when I say, due to the amounts of melatonin in my skin, I don’t visibly bruise easily!!! Additionally– How do I say this tactfully… You don’t put a damp, steaming towel on a Black woman’s hair?! Are you freakin’ kidding me?! I got random massage lotion and a steamy towel head massage that completely f’d up my hair and had me walking out of there looking like Buckwheat! I actually laughed out loud during the head massage as I laid there wondering if there was a such thing as cultural competency in the massage therapy world. In fact, I gigggled audibly several times as I was certain Ashton Kutcher was Punking me OR the TV crew from«What would you do?» was going to walk in the room at any moment and tell me this was some sort of social experiment. It was that bad… The sad part, and I’m ashamed to admit, I would consider going back for the convenience of appointments and perhaps with EXPLICITLYCLEAR direction, I could get a decent massage without having my a** handed to me.

Got the one hour foot massage. They actually have you soak your feet for 15 min and massage for 45. The 45 min were great though. Would rather they advertise it as a 45 min foot even if the price was the same so you don’t feel shortchanged that you are paying to soak your feet.

Great prices, easy scheduling and above all, very therapeutic massages. I like the deep massages and go often for a quick getaway to reduce stress for a bit.

The quality of the services at this spa is based on the operator — I suggest reading the Unilocal reviews before making an appointment. I made the mistake of just taking the person who was available when I walked in. OK gave this place a second try… the experience was very unprofessional and really warrants a 0 star rating.

Came here today for a massage. Drove all the way from walnut creek. Made an appointment with coco who I’ve requested many times and does a great job. An older Asian man waked in and said I was on his schedule. Not cool. I won’t be back.

By far, the worst massage I’ve had. THEWORST! I wouldn’t even have someone pay me $ 40 to get another massage here. They clearly are not trained in massage. They do not understand muscles, how to engage the muscles, what strokes are classical in massage, etc. They massaged SOHARD. They massaged the bones(never is this ok), they would massage over & over in one spot as if they were bored, they didn’t soften up when I asked them to. They were not consistent(one foot got massaged, not the other). Just horrible. Nothing relaxing about this. The massage was so jaring in it’s movement. I asked numerous times to please be softer. My masseuse even left to get a hot towel half-way through and came back in with a mouthful of food; which I could hear(and smell) her finishing as she continued the massage. I left in so much pain; and not the good kind. This is honestly the kind of massage that can do damage to a person. Pros: — Easy to find — Cheaper — Friendly people — Easy to get same day appt Cons: — Hard beds — Cold rooms(for some they don’t mind, but I like my room to be warm) — HORRIBLE technique — They play soft rock in the rooms vs soothing spa music — Noisy(I could hear everything going on outside my room, my masseuse had to open the oil bottle very time to get the little amount that was at the bottom… making it very distracting) — Someone knocks on the door at the end to ensure your masseuse knows it’s time to wrap up

Rinky dink would be giving them credit. The guy who runs this place is horrible. I have made two appointments and each time he has incorrectly told me the appointment time and I had to wait ½ hr. It is sloppy and not very clean in my opinion. Don’t make an appointment if you value your time.

Went there for a 90 min massage several of months ago I was there first and had a wonderful massage and experience. I was there again two wks later for a 1 hour massage and had Mia she was rushed and cut me short by 10 minutes. When I called her on it said«no problem» I’ll massage for another 10 minutes. I thought that was awkward. I went back another day asking for the first person who did my massage which i think was nancy who did a great job the first time around. However, because I was there around 6:30 in the evening her massage was limp and she seemed tired and wasn’t strong enough for a deep tissue massage i left unhappy and unsatisfied. So I would recommend that you get your message in the morning because by the evening time they are tired. I don’t think I want to try this place again, sorry :(

Love the full body massage. Defiantly would go back and you can’t beat the price. 1 hour for 40. Also I like the hot towel at the end to wipe up at the massage oil, I didn’t feel at all like I had to go home and shower. Great place!

Christina F and I are twinsies when it comes to getting massages — get them as often as possible! Her review of Jade Day Spa prompted me to try it out(their website with stock photos looked a little sketchy) but it is your typical Chinese massage place — no frills and quality massages for a good price, especially in Danville. Full body massage for $ 40 and Foot massage for $ 30? Sounds reasonable to me. I believe the owner gave me my foot massage and 10 minute back/shoulder massage that at the time, felt like I was being tortured. After I went home, I felt like a million bucks and slept like a baby that night. Now that I have a massage place literally down the street from us, I’m going to become a regular — Jade Day Spa is good value for money.

Have been going here for some time now. I feel a bit mixed about leaving a review. On one hand, this is a fantastic place that provides consistently great service and excellent value for the money. On the other hand, I don’t want it to become flooded with other people and make it so I am unable to get an appointment. Alas, I prefer they stay in business at the risk of me not being able to get in. Mr. Gao is a fantastic therapist. I’m a guy, fairly muscular, and I spend a lot of time on airplanes and in uncomfortable conference rooms crouched over a laptop. This means my posture sucks and I get tense muscle waaay more than I should. Many therapists, male and female, regardless of price range, simply fail to get deep enough to the trouble spots. Not Mr. Gao, he can knead and elbow his way to the tightest of knots, leaving me pain free and refreshed. My wife swears by Amy, btw. Last note: 1 hour massage costs $ 40. Don’t be a cheapskate and leave at least a $ 15 tip. Better yet, if you’re really happy — leave $ 20+

I came here today to get a massage and I had Mister Gao massage us. We did the deep tissue massage and wow for $ 40 for an hour that was excellent! We really needed massage is due to sports injuries and we were so ecstatic to be able to get such a good deal and such a wonderful massage. This is Asian inspired massage so they really worked with the pressure points and they are very knowledgeable and professional and very good at what they did I was most impressed. Thanks so much will definitely be coming back! Also I adored the heated blanket on the laydown table and the hot towel after was wonderful thank you so much will be coming back! Ahh God bless!
