This place is closed. I loved it. It’s now Danas and appears to be another fine dining establishment like Patrick David’s was.

This is no longer Martini Sky. It’s now«Dana’s». Sad to see Martini go… new owners are same as Luna Loca

Martini Sky appears to be closed. This makes me very sad — my gf and I had many pleasant nights there. Excellent food, attentive staff, pleasant and inviting space, and two pages of creative martini drinks. Farewell, Martini Sky. You will be missed.

I came here from out of town with my boyfriend to surprise my mom and the rest of my family for her birthday. The host was extremely helpful and set up a table in the corner of the restaurant so we could have some of our own space and to spend our meal catching up. They let us set up birthday balloons and put confetti all over the table. Even our waiter was super friendly and funny and made the night extremely special for us. My parents come here quite often and I am so glad I was able to join them and make my mom’s birthday so special! Can’t wait to come back!

Came here for a birthday surprise and the restaurant was very accommodating for our needs. I started off with the«oh my god» martini and it was good, really good. Food: our table just ordered a bunch of entrees an appetizers and told the waiter to bring whatever out as soon as it is ready which was a great option because everything was hot. The items that stood out to me were the meatballs and the paella. The short ribs were really good as well.

Ok this is an odd review. The food quality was very good. However the service was not. First off, three of us were in from out of town on business. One person in my party had to select a different item than what he originally selected because they were out of it. In my case, I ordered the miso cod. When all of our dinners came, they brought me salmon. When I asks about it, they said they were out of cod so gave me salmon. I’ve never heard of a restaurant thinking it was ok to substitute without asking the customer first. As it turns out I like salmon and it was very good. But geeze… McFly… Get a clue. 5 for quality of what we did get. 1 for just plain stupidity. Average 3. Also, a big red flag when a restaurant is running out of menu items.

Martini Sky is a cool spot for a drink(s) and some small bites. I stopped in to meet a friend and was pleased with the low-key atmosphere, nice menu and good drink selection. It was just before Thanksgiving when I was there — pretty quite, almost eerily so. Nonetheless, our waiter was really good and I enjoyed the visit. Minor ding — the sliders were pretty dry :(I didn’t bother to complain — FYI. Overall, I liked the spot… will return again. 4 stars.

First time to Martini Sky — none of the 4 of us had ever been there. Great evening. Started with my mother Doris and my wife Nancy both ordering a lemon drop. Mom was done first! We all had a salad or soup. Then came the main courses: beef tenderloin, beef short ribs, roasted chicken breast; all were very happy with their selections. I ordered the Lobster Gnocchi — WOW, it was outstanding. Not a lot of people there on a Monday night. You all missed out on a great time. Highly recommended and will definitely be back soon.

We visited Martini Sky last night and enjoyed the drinks, food and décor. My Mexican Manhattan was was excellent — and different, with an almost smokey taste. It also was good to see the bar staff delivering drinks to help ensure they didn’t sit at the bar too long. Our Lobster Spring Rolls and Duck Confit Nachos were delicious, although the nachos needed a bit more topping — three tablespoons or so — so that every chip can have some of the ingredients. Our salads — roasted beets with goat cheese — and Autumn Salad with arugula, endive, persimmon and pomegranate were good, although we did not spot or taste any persimmon. We also ordered oysters — raw. They were well shucked and tasty Point Reyes oysters. But instead of six we got five because one, the waitress explained, was really big. True, one was huge by Point Reyes standards, but that’s the way nature made it. When you order six, you should get six. At least one of our five was pretty puny so it was just weird to call out the big one. The oysters also were served without a small spoon for the dressings or a small oyster fork. A tiny, but important detail especially since the table setting did not include a spoon. We liked the inside décor, with a choice of high tables or regular, and the openness. It has a more hip look than most restaurants in the Tri-Valley area. There also is some outside seating with heat lamps. We’ll be back soon to see if there is a little more attention to detail so we can bump this up to 5 stars.

Second time here last Friday. Drinks are all excellent, and I can’t get enough of the Sweet Tea Moonshine(neat pls). Chef Pulido’s menu(formerly with Va De Di) is excellent! Pork belly heaven… We were stuffed with a selection of small plates. Service is excellent from front to back, even got to chat with the Chef himself, as he checked on us as well. Can’t wait to go back.

Yup, this is definitely my kind of place. I have been anxious to try this place out after discovering it months ago, so on a recent day off, I decided to splurge and treat myself to some specialty cocktails; and I somehow had a feeling Martini Sky would accommodate me ideally for this desire. And it certainly did. Martini Sky is located in the quaint, intrinsically charming shopping center off sycamore valley rd, where a small handful of other shops and restaurants reside such as Piatti, and Forbes. The shopping center is also overwhelming with trees, providing a more secluded feel; which somehow has a way of extracting you mentally from the hustle and bustle of the city, providing a state of peace. Martini sky is a wonderful addition to the quaint center. The ambiance encomasses that classic martni lounge like atmosphere perfectly– modern, trendy, yet classy. It is also quite capacious, providing plenty of comfortable seating; along with a beautiful bar. It was the latter part of the afternoon, and only a few other couples were dining it. Which was perfect for me, because I was in a crowd avoiding type of mood that day. I got a table towards the back of the restaurant providing a full view of the establishment. I was then greeted and assisted by the bartender/server Dave. Dave turned out to be one of the most AWESOME, bartenders/servers I have encountered in a long time. His personable yet professional demeanor was refreshing to say the least, and he can certainly whip up some killer concoctions. Their menu is simple, though exquisitely appealing; providing a decent amount of options to satisfy most. I started off with a drink called ” Cucumber Aloe-Tini” it consisted of 360 Sorrento Lemon Vodka-Aloe Water-White Cranberry juice and muddled cucumber. I spoke to Dave and requested it to not be too sweet, and let me tell you, he did not disappoint. This drink turned out FANTASTIC! Fresh, mildly sweet, and just yumazing. My second drink I inquired on the«Noël» consisting of vodka-lime juice-simple syrup– muddled jalepeno, cucumber and basil. Dave certainly seems to want to go out of his way to make the customer a drink exactly to their liking, and he certainly does. This drink first turned out a little too jalepeno-ish, which he agreed, and ended up creating some mind blowingly delicious concoction that I truly feel they should put on the menu for it was OUTSTANDING! For food, being It was my splurge day, I decided upon the«Lobster Spring Rolls» it sounded decadently delicious, however, it came with a mango sauce that I would not be able to partake in being I’m allergic to it, though I mentioned it to Dave, and they were able to accommodate me with a different option that complimented it perfectly. And, not only did the dish arrive beautifully presented, it turned out phenomenally tasty! This place really turned out to be even greater than I expected, and I certainly can’t wait to visit again :)

My review is purely based on the bar — haven’t had their food before. This bar is great! The bartender was very social and had great drink recommendations. I told him I liked tequila and he made a very yummy first drink, it was a little too sweet to have another one but was really good. Then he made a new concoction that he made it — OMG it was amazing! He really hit it on the head with that one. I will definitely be coming back for the drinks, I wish the bar was open past 12 though!

Went here for the first time for a work event and was very impressed. The dinner menu is pretty broad but if you get here during happy hour drinks and small plates are very reasonable. I tried two different Martinis and I hope to go back to try more. The waiter was extremely friendly and made the experience worth while.

First time here for dinner — the restaurant is huge with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. They specialize in small plates with a good blend of American and Asian fare — it reminds me of WC’s Va Da Vie except with more cocktails instead of wine. In fact, the current head chef, Chef Pulido, used to work at Va Da Vie! Overall, we had a great time — solid four stars with potential upside. All the food items we ordered were excellent, and you do need to sample a few dishes. Service was good for the most part, but I wished they wiped down our tables in between dishes. I started with the«Oh My God» cocktail — basically a martini with coconut and blackberry liqueurs. Pretty sweet and a good sized drink. It wasn’t super strong by any means, but was good — not sure it deserves the name though! STARTERS Green olives were warm and tasty with the EVOO sauce and garlic-chili flakes. Sky Fries were the curly type — with a nice aioli dipping sauce. Beet salad was amazing — large chunks of orange and red beets that were juicy and plump, with a slight bit of cheese and greens. SMALLPLATES Banh Mi Grilled Salmon Sliders came two per order and a choice of fries or green salad. Sliders had perfectly grilled and seasoned salmon, and I think the little buttery brioche bun and pickled veggies works here. To offset the richness, they snuck in some sliced jalapeños, which gave it a slight kick — I recommend eating the entire sandwich and don’t fish out anything. Mushroom Paella came in a small cast iron pan and was beautiful — yellow rice, black mushrooms, green and red from snap peas and red peppers, and a bit of creamy sauce. Mushrooms had some serious intense flavor, and we both enjoyed the rice. Paella tends to be lighter for us than say, Italian rissotto. Hanger steak came sliced in small bit sized pieces(hence that huge steak knife totally unnecessary) on top of veggie succotash(blend of corn and Lima beans). Steak cooked medium and was also perfect — crusty seared edge and red and juicy interior. DESSERT We shared the Pot a Crème, which is a thick yellow custard with Grand Marnier, vanilla, and orange flavors with two sugar cookies. Also, a cup of Peet’s black coffee to wash it down. Very tasty and light dessert — I’ve had chocolate versions before bit the orange, Grand Marnier version works for me too! Definitely will come back — menu is exciting and the place is huge. No problems with parking or reservations and the food is on par if not better than Va Da Vie.

Had lunch at Martini Sky today for the first time and I was very impressed! The martini I had was delicious — Christy’s Choice or something — ginger, mint and lemon. Very refreshing and not too sweet. My friend and I shared four small plates — salmon banh mi sliders, fried calamari, truffle mac and cheese and hangar steak. All were great, including the fries that came with the banh mi sliders. Very flavorful and yummy. The portions were a good size too — we definitely did not need 4 dishes. I was starving but we didn’t finish any of them. The setting is very pleasant — we sat on the lovely shaded patio, but the interior is pretty as well. Our server was efficient, friendly and nice. Overall I really liked it and will definitely go back for lunch or dinner soon.

What happened to this place?! I look forward to the summer season specifically for drinks outside at Martini Sky. I met a friend for drinks after work and waited 30 minutes for the waitress to take my order. I’ve never been to a bar that takes 15 minutes after taking my order to tell me they«just ran out» of not one, but 2 drinks I ordered. I ended up ordering some nasty martini just out of pity for the place. Later, I was talking to my neighbor and she had the same experience recently with ordering drinks they didn’t have in stock. Pull it together people! I want to see this place do well.

I really expected more for what I got! I went with several people and we all left disappointed. I was actually embarrassed because I suggested the place! Positives: Friendly staff, lots of parking, and nice ambiance . Negatives: Poorly made Martini’s, watered down drinks, really oily sky fries, flavorless and greasy calamari, dry pulled pork sliders, bland truffle mac n cheese, and lastly, the salad was quite wet… the dressing consistency was too watery! This restaurant did have nice food presentation, yet, the flavor and preparation were OFF! We ended up wasting our money on mediocre, overpriced food. We honestly left very dissatisfied. This place definitely has potential, however, I would suggest getting a new bartender or re-training him. The manager should taste test some of the drinks being made, as well as, sample some of the food the cook prepares.

We’ve been to this restaurant a few times and we always enjoy it. We usually order the meatballs, the flatbread of the night, and the truffle fries. The only one we weren’t a huge fan of was the tacos(the shell was sweet tasting and kind of threw it off). And of course, all the Martinis I have tried here have been delicious!

3.5 stars My girlfriends came here for happy hour before heading to a painting class next door. We sat outside at a table off on it’s own, but we still had attentive service. We peaked inside, and the décor looked nice and modern with space to spare. We had the Oh My God(coconut rum, pineapple juice and blackberry purree) drink and it was pretty good. We also ordered some food — the lamb chop, sky fries, nachos, crispy calamari, beef and pork sliders. I would say that the food is pretty good, but not fabulous. It’s not a bad place to stop for drinks and snacks with friends!

Ambiance: 4 stars Service: 5 stars Food: 3 stars Overall: 3.8 stars I like how this place is set up. The kitchen is open and is the center stage with a beautiful stone wall that is just tall enough that you can peep and see the chefs putting the finishing touches on each dish. Our hostess and waitress were very helpful. Our waitress gave us ideas of what to order and some of his favorite things on the menu. We ordered the truffle mac and cheese, beef sliders and lobster pot stickers. The truffle mac and cheese was pretty good but the pasta was way over cooked so it had no substance. The curly fries that came with the beef sliders were really good and had good seasoning. The sliders had a soft bun that was toasted just right on the inside and the meat was juicy. As for the pot stickers, they were probably my least favorite. It barely had any lobster in it and it was more dough than filling. The sauce that came with the pot stickers was good though! If I were to come back it would probably be to grab a drink. This is a great hangout spot to have a couple of drinks and small bites here and there because their portions are SUPERTINY.
