I came here while visiting some friends. The food was great and the setting was really nice. The kids were entertained by playing with the ducks that walk on the patio. I only wish this place was a bit bigger so we can come back with a larger party. I hear their breakfast is really good too and the price is cheaper than most spots in the area.

A Good breakfast/lunch serving place in the plaza, not enough to carry less than 50 persons inside and same outside.

Such a cute little place! I tried to make a reservation for Sat. lunch and unfortunately, they didn’t take any. But, they did say that our wait wouldn’t be too long. We gave it a shot. We arrived and the place was so little and cute. I think it had about 8 tables and a bar. The outside seating area was closed due to the rain. There were two spots at the bar and we decided to sit there. First, we had mimosas and waters. The waiters were very friendly and gave us their menus right away. The menus were small with some hearty options, including appetizers, salads and burgers. I ordered the hummus plate and although I don’t usually like hummus, it was light and delicious. For lunch my friend and I opted for the grilled cheese and fries. The Grilled Cheese was great, with different cheeses and a nice cheesy coat on the outside. The fries were equally good, they had parsley(I think) on top. They were well flavored. Over all the place was cute and the food was great. I recommend it.

4⁄5 stars. Though often overlooked for the larger and more popular Prickly Pear right next door, The Little Pear serves up some of the best food in Blackhawk Plaza. Though the seating indoors is small and limited, it was made up for by the friendly and intimate environment. The Black & Blue Salad was fantastic, and the fresh greens and filet steak tips were complimented well by the perfect amount of blue cheese dressing. We had also ordered a delicious appetizer of garlic fries as well as a hearty Croque Madame, a filling Black Forest ham & Swiss cheese sandwich topped with an egg sunny side up. Although the service tended to be a bit slow at times, the waiters were courteous and professional, and the food had definitely left us with a great impression.

I came to try out this place since it has lots of Unilocal reviews, and it’s across the street from the theater! When I arrived around 1130-noon, all the outdoor seating was taken. I guess I came at a bad time. But you get to choose where you sit. Once you get seated, the service here is prompt. I ordered the pastrami sandwich. When the food came out, it looks better than it taste in all honesty. I wasn’t really impressed, and the prices? Eh. I think it’s definitely more overhyped. It’s definitely a cute little place, but it’s not very large either. I personally wouldn’t recommend coming here again. Everyone keeps saying it’s the best burger. My boyfriend got a burger, it wasn’t bad but we’ve had better. A LOTBETTER.

I have loved the food here before. One of my favorites is the Croque Madame.(an upscale French toast) I was there recently and disappointed. The bread was toasted instead of dipped and fried. The meat was barely there. There was no bechamel sauce but the fried egg was on top. it had no flavor. there were only 2 other tables in use so it isn’t as if they were busy. Better luck next time.

Really good food at a reasonable price too. The location is beautiful and we ate outside with many ducks walking through but not too many. There were 3 of us and we had the Rodzilla burger, the pulled pork and the smoky chicken salad sandwich. All were delicious. Service was excellent too. We went on a Tuesday around 3 and it was not crowded at all.

Wonderful service and delicious food! I got the amazing chicken salad sandwich with pecans(super yum and light) and my guy got the angus burger. Both were great as well as the deep friend artichokes!

Once again an amazing lunch service from Lauren and crew. Even though it’s super small she always finds a way to squeeze in 6 people in less than 30 minutes.(Your mileage will vary) I opted for a new option to me, the New Yorker. A hot pastrami with melted cheese, pickles on an amazing bread roll. A bottle of Joel Gott 815 for $ 38 makes for a wonderful afternoon.

I like Little Pear! The burgers and big and very filling! I love the fries! The ducks are friendly! Yes, we sat outside and it’s nice. We’ve sat inside, too. The salads are also very good! Come and have a great experience. The servers are very nice and accommodating. It does get busy so come early!

I nice, quaint little bistro with good coffee to accompany quality food. We missed breakfast, but the BLTA was good, especially with its crispy french-fries.

I’ve had takeout from here twice but this was my first time dining in for lunch. It was pretty crowded on a Friday at 1:30PM. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I was greeted right away as soon as I entered the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive. Order their garlic fries, Caesar salad, and croque madam. My sandwich was amazing with an over-easy egg! Love the garlic fries and aioli sauce. My side salad with balsamic vinegar dressing was great. For take out I’ve ordered their huge RadZilla burger. Make sure you have at least 5 – 6 napkins on hand since it’s pretty messy but delicious! If you park on the Anthropologie /Theater side, the restaurant will be on your left just as you walk by Anthro.

The waitress was terrible!!! I couldn’t avoid eye contact that well if I tried. We went on a relatively slow evening and sat on the patio. We wanted simple things, like water, ketchup for our fries(which were delicious) and she never came out to check on us. When she did come to the patio, she went to EMPTY tables to refill sugar packets. Food was ok. I had the burger which was probably 7 inches tall — who can eat all that! I had to take it apart and eat it in parts, never resulting in one good bite. Service was so terrible I don’t recommend this place!

Had a nice breakfast with a friend here the other day. We met at 10, no wait. Entered into a nice wooded car area. Decided to eat outside in a spacious deck area located near the fountain/pond area. Lots of shade from umbrellas and ducks who would waddle through to check for scraps. Not aggressive but if you don’t want animals begging, maybe eat inside? The food was fine. I don’t know if I expected more because it was in Blackhawk, but the food seemed just 3 stars. Nothing to make me hunger to return. I had 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. All of it was fine and the coffee was good. We sat for two hours. No one bothered us. It was getting busy. We left and headed to Starbucks to open up the table. Service was friendly. No complaints there.

Came here on a late Saturday afternoon. We were in the plaza and hunger struck. This place looked the most casual, ignoring the sportsbar. This place is tiny! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The service was slightly slow. But the food was on point. I had the black and blue salad which was filet and blue cheese over a bed of lettuce with onion stings on top. The dish is actually really big. There was plenty of beef, a good amount of blue cheese, and just the right amount of Onion strings for that change of texture. My only complaint would be for a different salad base. Maybe some other kind of lettuce, maybe a mix of more than 1 green. The beef was cooked perfectly! Even with my lettuce problem, I would order this dish again. My fiancée had the salmon sandwich. The salmon was super tender. The fries had the right amount of crisp to it. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this little place. I’ll have to check out this chef’s other restaurants now!

This place is amazing. I sat at their bar and ordered the Blackhawk Hash. This is steak and baby potatoes sitting on top of a bed of corn with french fried onions on the top. Shredded cheddar through out. I don’t ever recall eating a better breakfast. It was amazing! Quick service at the bar with excellent coffee. Highly recommended.

Nice little spot in Blackhawk plaza. Note it is on the side near the auto museum, next to anthropologie. On a nice day, outside is the place to sit. Nice view of the pond, doesn’t feel as dark and claustrophobic. The twins split a kids steak frites, they loved the frites(that had hella parsley). My wife liked her tropical fruit infused ice tea. My shrimp PO boy had lots of shrimp, but I could t eat it as a sandwhich, it was too big. Service was pretty fast, got at least one drink refill and the food was super fast to come out. I would visit this place again.

A tiny restaurant inside Blackhawk Plaza with a nice outdoor seating area and indoor bar area. They have a full lunch menu with apps, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. I was craving a burger so I went for the Rodzilla with garlic fries(only 50 cent added to default regular fries). The Rodzilla burger did live up to the name — layers of crunchy fried onions, cheddar cheese, and juicy half-pound beef cooked medium rare. The sauce was just enough so it didn’t get too messy when eating. Pretty solid burger — would have been better if buns toasted a bit more though. Fries were good and I liked how they generously loaded up the garlic and managed the saltiness. Overall I think it’s on par with Fieldhouse and Pete’s Brass Rail, both of which are also good I think. Service was great as well — I ordered an Arnold Palmer(ice tea lemonade) and it got refilled promptly after I asked for some water.
