Very impressive! My wife and I were off for President’ s Day and finally caught this place during its open hours.
First, our server was very pleasant from beginning to end. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and even recommended the biscuits and honey spread (very delicious).
I ordered the country fried steak breakfast with the hash brown casserole. Every bit of it was delicious from the perfectly cooked and surprisingly crisp country fried steak to the perfectly cook eggs. My wife tried the bacon with her eggs and hashbrowns. With her toast, she tried the homemade strawberry jam (excellent).
All and all we had a very delightful breakfast experience. The friendly staff coupled with the delicious food really started our day on a very positive note.

I’ve been on a quest to find chicken and dressing with the right texture, and theirs has it. Most places serve a dressing that has the texture of stuffing. Not here. It’s the real deal. As good as mine? Nope! It’s very good though. Perfect texture and great flavor. It’s only served on Tuesdays. The carrot soufflé I had on the side was every bit as good as my sweet potato casserole too.
Their fried chicken is juicy and flavorful as well, and the cobblers are definitely homemade.
Even better, the last few times I’ve been, I even got to see two of my favorite former Manci’s waitresses who now work at The Sugar Kettle.
I had held out on giving them that 5th star until I tried the chicken and dressing and it certainly earned it!

Very delicious southern style food. The service was a bit slow, but we did arrive just at the noon hour. I ordered the vegetable plate, which was wonderful & my table mates ordered the same. All food was consumed, plates clean!

I’ll definitely be going back!!! A small intimate setting with a pleasant atmosphere great for brunch/​lunch date or meeting if you get some time on the eastern shore and they’re open I would definitely check it out.

Highly recommend this place! Food was awesome and I recommend trying the Tomato Pie if the have it. Fried Chicken is just like your mother cooked. Great lunch stop and reasonable price!

Must get the hash brown casserole! Service is always great. Cashing out can be an ordeal because everything is done in the iPad, but the speediness of receiving your meal makes up for the time.

This was my first experience at this restaurant. The service was amazing for the fact that they were completely slammed for lunch. The wait staff was personable and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

I LOVE Sugar Kettle! Not only is it super cute, they have some great food and service. My family and I like to go on Sundays to get the grilled chicken with the white BBQ sauce. It is AMAZING! We are officially addicted! We had a great experience today. My brother’s burger took a little too long to cook, so we had to wait longer than usual. We did not complain nor did we act rude or impatient, but our waitress was so upset we had to wait she let her manager know the situation and she took care of us. They were all super nice and apologetic even though we hadn’t said anything about having to wait! I’ve always experienced great service and food while going to Sugar Kettle! Just wish they were open for dinner too!

This is a fun little «meat and three» sort of place that reminds me of my college years in Oxford (except the prices are tripled).
Everything is fresh and serving hours are very limited.
Portions are HUGE and many of the selections are fried. There are plenty of vegetable options with different methods of cooking to add variety.

Country fried steak was amazing! We went on a rainy Sunday, had a coupon, ordered and sat on the porch. This is southern cooking at its best. My wife got the hamburger steak which had a delicious gravy but was a bit dry. The sides we had were all wonderful. Mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, green beans, squash casserole, and corn bread.
