Barre 563

Just went to Barre 563 for the first time this week! Was back in Iowa visiting family for the holidays and was thrilled to see we have our first barre studio!
The studio is small a small mirrored room with ballet barres on all walls. It is clean and organized, and there is upbeat music playing throughout. It probably fits about ~20 students.
They offer several classes a day. I’ve only taken the barre amped so far — which is a pretty typical barre class. We started with a series of arm exercises (small movements, light weights), moved into thighs/​glutes at the barre and then moved to the floor for abs (planks, high curl etc.).
At $ 15 a class, it is reasonable for barre. In LA and Chicago, I’ve seen barre cost $ 25 a class.
The class flowed well and Sarah strikes a nice balance between instruction and encouragement. Looking forward to trying the barre amped bootcamp!
