Love this place! The bruschetta is awesome! Great selection of local beers. I tried the not local Orabelle Belgium triple… delicious! Came right before closing, all the workers were very, very friendly! Come say hi Emily! We will definitely be here often.

The nitty gritty: –former blacksmith shop with exposed bricks, patio, historical vibes to the building and located on a bustling street –super crummy wifi — as in, it didn’t work at all during my visit –over-priced wine given the quality level. $ 8-$ 9 for a half of a plastic cup of Barefoot-grade wine? I’m wishing I took a photo to show just how overpriced it was. –neat wall of horseshoes tying in with the history of the building –my visit was during the day but I imagine their is a cool energy here in the evenings with candles on each of the tables –I was there for an hour and the staff never checked in on my table.

As an out-of-towner from a place with a fun culinary scene, I liked BREW enough to try it twice! The first time was in March, I had a beer and one of their breakfast bowls. The beer selection is great, but the bowl was meh– which may have been my fault since I chose my own toppings, but the guy behind the counter also looked a little wide-eyed about making food. The second time we visited was last week when we were in town looking at apartments, and this time I tried the bloody mary and a salad. Both were DELICIOUS, and the person making the food was in a chef’s coat, so perhaps he’s the real food guy? The bloody mary, made with beer instead of alcohol, was served with veggies, cheese, and BACON! While this was a delicious surprise for my bacon-loving finance, I’m vegetarian and had to order another drink. I’m not sure if I missed it on the menu, but once I got a regular mary it was absolutely delicious. I like the chill pub-meets-coffeehouse-meets-café vibe. You can go in for a drink, a meal, a coffee, or any of the above, with ample wifi and outlets at the bar to catch up on work. I’ve only visited BREW in the afternoon, so I am excited to see its night vibe when we move to Davenport later this summer!

Service was very mediocre. Don’t be in a rush if you plan to go here. But food was excellent. My mom and I both had a breakfast bowl and it was delicious! Great atmosphere and fun experience for people new and old to the area!

I am a biscuits and gravy snob. It is my all time favorite breakfast, and very high on all meals. BUTONLYIFDONEWELL. Brew does a far far better job at B&G than most restaurants. I’m always skeptical when I see it on the menu, but I have to at least try. Brew did not disappoint. My wife loved her BLT as well. When a restaurant can make the ordinary memorable, you know it’s off to a great start.

It was pretty good. There were a few hiccups, but nothing so egregious I wouldn’t give them another try. Pros: — Dog friendly! — Great patio, cool atmostphere — Friendly service — The food is ample(our brew board had so much food we took home leftovers) Cons: — We tried to order at least four things that they had run out of — My glass of red wine was not good, and it was WAY too warm… I was glad I was sitting outside so it could cool off(I should have just stuck with a beer, but they DO say they’re also a wine bar…) — All of the meats on our brew board still had the wrapper on them– we peeled rind and plastic off both the salami and capicola All in all, a really nice addition to the East Village, which was in desperate need of a place like this!

We have had mixed experience here. Some of the dinner items have been very good; good beer selection also. But the Sunday brunch was very lackluster. The eggs came out cold and bland, the flatbread also was uninspired. During the brunch, the waitstaff were also slow to come around although the place was slow. We will be going back for the beer and dinner items, but never for breakfast.

I just had one of the worst experiences at BREW in the Village. The place is cool, that’s it. The food was overcooked and over priced for the portions you receive. Their service staff was AWFUL — Clueless to their immediate surroundings, to their jobs even as everything brought to us, we asked for ourselves. No promoting or pitches of any kind, as one receives from a trained waitress, we had to hunt them down to bring us anything. And the place isn’t that big! I asked for my water, my girlfriend asked for her cocktail, both from girls just strolling by — not rushed, just incompetent. We sat in front of empty glasses and dishes for 20 minutes before we had to ask for our bills. Then It took us another 20 minutes to get our checks, that we sent back 3 times to be fixed. It was a nightmare experience and not only will I not return again, I will actively tell people not to visit this establishment, ever. I’m sorry I have to give it any stars at all.

Favorite small batch brewery with killer IPA selections. The Grapefruit Beer is to die for! Staff is quick, courteous and super upbeat. Ambience is a great conversational hang-out with great new and alternative music… not country(sorry). Food is good, simple few ingredients all local and fresh. Owners really put so much pride into happy patrons. The tomato/mozzarella pesto sand which is great with beer. Outside seating too. Need to try Sunday breakfast & entertainment throughout the week.

One of the best locations in the East Village. Always a fantastic selection of craft beer on tap and knowledgeable staff to talk about it. The food is a home run too and the brew board of meat and cheese is epic. I loved the brewery versus events they had in the past and hope they return.

On our journey from Chicago back to Des Moines I was all of a sudden overcome with a massive craving for prosciutto. As I searched Unilocal for places that had prosciutto I happened upon this little place that wasn’t too far off of the interstate. I convinced my boyfriend to stop here for lunch and boy am I glad that I did! I started off with a delicious cranberry mimosa and the Brew board. The brew board was excellent. It had prosciutto, salami, white cheddar, blue cheese, Brie, honey, walnuts. It was so good I ate the whole thing before my boyfriend even had a chance. To top off my craving for prosciutto, I ordered the prosciutto and cheese sandwich. While it’s exactly as described it was served on a warm pretzel bun. It definitely hit the spot! For anybody traveling on I-80 I recommend stopping by this cozy little place, you definitely won’t regret it!

Love this place! Probably one of the hippest places in Davenport. I enjoyed seeing a menu that had a wide variety of healthy as well as vegetarian options. Our server was very sweet. My meal was delicious– I had a breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs, spinach, avocado, and feta cheese. Overall great ambiance as well. Highly recommend!

Just stopped in here to grab a beer on Friday night. Great location with a cozy feel. Love this old building. Had a Green Tree Brewery beer. Can’t remember what it is called, but it is brewed up in Leclaire. What surprised me is they had Free State Brewery’s «Copperhead Ale» on tap here. This beer is from Lawrence Ks, and Free State is actually the oldest brewery in Kansas. Was just there last weekend and absolutely loved this beer.(see my review on Free State) I would love to come back here and order food and/or coffee. Also would like to come back when it is warmer and take advantage of their patio. The staff here was very friendly and very attentive.

Great lunch and pretty good beer selection. Got to meet the chef, really nice guy with a passion for food. Really solid menu too… not too many choices, but enough to make you want to happy. I’m in town visiting family, but will make this a signature stop on my visits home!

Only had lunch here, so I don’t know how the atmosphere/service is for just grabbing a drink. The food part is awful. We were served brown avocado and was notified that they were out of spinach about 15 minutes after I ordered my salad(not very conducive for a working lunch). Wish we would have gone with the Mexican place next door. After submitting this review, the manager had reached out to me to attempt to redeem out poor experience. Even though I couldn’t take him up on the offer, I appreciate he effort!

This is one of the coolest places to grab a drink in the QC! Great beers and tasty food, the brew board is the best midnight snack I’ve ever had. Everything in this place is gourmet. Everything that can be local, is. They have a great selection of unique craft beers and wines. The drinks and the food are great, but the atmosphere is definitely one of the best parts. It’s a chill atmosphere without being«sleepy.» Super hip and fun place. Hands down the best late night hang out in the area! I strongly suggest you come here and try out the brew board! — EDIT: Brew claims to be «all local» but I don’t know if I trust this claim anymore after seeing everything that comes on the brew board at Sam’s club…
