The hungry hobo is defiantly a Quad Cities thing. The Hungry Hobo offers sandwiches and potatoes. Choose either steak or chicken for your sandwich and add your toppings. I chose a steak with cheese, onions and mushrooms. The sandwich was good, but not great. I absolutely love a Philly cheese steak, and this was not that, they don’t claim for it to be, but that is the standard which i hold all steak sandwiches to. In my opinion, the prices were a little high for the products we received, Overall not bad, it’s better than Subway.

One of my favorite places for a cold cut sub. What makes it so good it the bread, baked fresh daily and is so soft! They now have a grill as well, where you can get grilled chicken or steak sandwiches on their great bread. They have good baked potatoes and cookies as well. It’s a Quad-​City institution, one of the places people miss most when they move away and it’s easy to see why.
