My buddy sure did enjoy his frozen Tyson chicken strip and Ore Ida tater tots.(Not) And my bacon cheeseburger hockey puck was just that, a bun with an over cooked dried up hamburger patty, a cold piece of cheese and 2 half pieces of rubbery bacon. Halfway thru and the waitress says«oh would you like some mustard or lettuce, tomato or something» Really? 13.00 for a burger and coke. Wow! Would not recommend.

I went to this café for breakfast. The pancakes tasted like it came from the box and the potatoes tasted like it came from the frozen section of the grocery store. The service was horrible. It took forever for our waitress to come over and take our order. Then after the food came, she never came back. My husband had to get her attention to get our bill. The chairs were so uncomfortable like sitting on a rock. Will not be coming back.

Thank goodness for Unilocal. We were in need of a mom-and-pop meal after three days at Disney eating awful food and all we could find were chains until I widened the search and found this restaurant. We drove a few extra miles to this diner and loved it. Very new and clean, easy to find, easy parking, very nice staff, patriotic décor, super clean bathrooms. Best of all the food was awesome and the coffee was really good — way better than most restaurants that don’t focus on coffee. This was a great find. We decided these are the best pancakes we’ve every had at a diner. They are not the traditional thick cake-like fluffy pancakes. They are thinner and have much better flavor. Our kids are pancake experts and even they ordered seconds. If this is on your way to or from Disney or if you just need a chain-restaurant break and have a car with you check this place out for a nice breakfast. Only note would be that if you have kids you should bring some crayons or sticker books or something to entertain them as they don’t have anything like that but are still kid friendly otherwise.

The only reason I couldn’t give a 5 star was because the sign at the hostess stand says please seat yourself. There were plenty of servers to personally seat the guests and increase the customer service experience, seems like a lack of organization here but they were very busy so maybe this set up is successful for them. My drink order was taken within sittting maybe a minute. However this wasn’t my server. My food order was taken within about 5 minutes later. The server told me she ate here everyday so everything was good. I was torn between a few dishes. I decided on a veggie omelette with turkey bacon, grits with cheese and a cup of fruit. Everything is homemade and came out within 10 minutes. I am a huge service fan but the food and timeliness of service was awesome! I did read a few reviews about the bland seasoning but if you are familiar with Polk county over half of the diners guests are going to be senior citizens hints the special sections on the menu with reduced prices. Most senior citizen can not have a lot of seasining/salt due to high blood pressure or cholesterol so go easy on them! It seems they are trying to appeal to a variety of guests.

Solid four star spot on Route 27. I would stop here again. I liked my pancakes and eggs and bacon was crisp as I ordered them. Brookie did a good job and was quick with coffee. Made my starving stomach feel better. Dang, i went a long time without eating breakfast! Pancakes had a nice flavor and were fluffy. They don’t have soy or almond milk which bums me out however they gave me whole milk which is better than that chemical concoction you would see in breakfast spots. Thanks!

Just had a late breakfast here. Everything was ok. My eggs were cooked the way I like them, the coffee was hot, and everyone was satisfied. My only complaint is that we waited quite awhile for our meal, other than that this place is just what it calls itself«The Not So Fancy Café» and a decent place to go for breakfast.

Great place for breakfast and lunch! Pleasant waitstaff, quick service and great food. My wife and I have been going here since it opens and it has gotten better each time. The Montecarlo sandwich is great, and you can’t beat the 2−2−2 breakfast. I would recommend this café.

We tried this place on the vacation. The service was less than optimal. The food took a really long time to come out and then our order was wrong. I would not come back.

Stopped here for breakfast on Sunday Nice place, clean, service was good and so was the food. Reasonably priced too. Went to go again on Monday, supposed to be open at 7am, pulled in at 7:10 and lights weren’t on and nobody was home, that’s why it’s a 4 star instead of 5. Meatloaf & eggs was delicious.

Great place on our way home from our trip to Disney. All the wait staff were attentive and genuinely there to ensure we were well taken care of. Food was very good, one recommendation would be for the bacon to be a bit crispier. Well done and love the name!

I ate it all! Be sure to bypass Bob! I have never ate a 3 egg omelet in one sitting but it was the best I ever had. Each bite had veggies, cheese and egg of the perfect amount, fresh, and not greasy, too oily, or buttery. My first time here but not my last. Waitress was sweet but needed some reminding, but that’s okay as everyone was aiming to please.

This place was great! The food was well priced, delicious, and had a classic selection on their breakfast menu. The restaurant was so clean and cozy. I would recommend any of their omelettes. There coffee was good as one should expect. The servers were so pleasant and attentive. This may become a habit for my family and I. Even our almost 10 month old enjoyed it.

Where to start. This place is good for breakfast and dinner haven’t tried lunch yet. Really a great place to eat and enjoy the people who work their. I did see something I don’t normally see. I saw the boss lady working in the kitchen. Not too many boss’s I’ve seen will hop into a kitchen an work. I love to see small/family owned businesses run and flourish. That is some of the reason I come to this place. One tip for new and old patrons: be nice to the people who work here. It’s a small run establishment. They run as fast as they can and being rude can slow that down. :) now enjoy a meal here!

I love to find new places to eat that aren’t part of a chain, so I was excited to give this place a try… But unfortunately, the other reviews are dead on. The service was terrible from the beginning, and there were less than a handful of tables at the time. We ordered drinks and they were brought out incorrect, which isn’t a deal breaker but just added to an unpleasant experience. I ordered the ultimate which is your basic diner stack with biscuit, gravy, eggs, hash browns.(Which by the way, is $ 9.25, and the«half» is $ 8.25) After I ordered she came back to the table to inform us they had no gravy left. At noon. On a Sunday. The food came out, and the roll he ordered his cod sandwich on, was now wheat toast. We didn’t bother correcting the mistake. Just as others have mentioned, it was indeed nothing fancy. He ordered the cod sandwich with everything that comes on it regularly… It came out with cod and wheat toast. My food was very bland. There aren’t many potato products I dislike but I was def not impressed with the hash browns. There was no flavor whatsoever. I will mention that the cole slaw tasted great. It tasted home made and had a nice flavor. The thing is, it could be fixed pretty simply. Get a cook who knows how to use seasoning to give your food some flavor, get rid of that odd ordering system bc from the looks of it you aren’t busy enough to need it. Hire some servers with personality and confidence, and start with your hostess. Get rid of the white t shirt uniform. I get it. It’s not fancy. It’s also sloppy and I can see all of your bras. I don’t want to see your bras. And last, review your menu and pricing. It doesn’t make sense. I could go on, but you get the point! Right? Eat here. Review. Maybe it will do some good and this mom and pop can survive.
