Ate here around 9. Had sushi. It was crazy good, and I would go again in a heartbeat.

I went here last night. Sushi: I am a big sushi lover and honestly the crunchy roll and California roll which were basic roll any sushi restaurants should be able to make easily, they fail so horribly. I ate two pieces and discarded the rest.(I know I should not waste food but it was that bad) The rice were dry and hard. How can you fail to make sushi rice??? The roll itself were about the size of a quarter maybe a little bigger, unevenly wrapped and rice falling apart as you pick it up. Beside the sushi, the salmon bento, calamari, edamame, and plum wine were decent. Decorate: beautiful restaurants with lots of potentials. Lots of alcohol to choose from. Service: two waitress… With a restaurants of 3 table. They were nice but not friendly. Our server did not greet us until we flag her down. Will not come back.

We started our meal by sharing the beef negimaki appetizer. The thinly seared beef with scallions and shitake mushrooms was absolutely delicious… We wanted more! Then followed that with the Tuna lovers roll and a Big Jia Roll and some tuna and yellowtail sushi. By sharing all these wonderful plates we were able to get a little taste of many different dishes The finale of our meal was a shared Rainbow Roll. It was great!

At first my mom and I had very high hopes! We were looking to try something new instead of just going to Publix and getting the same sushi as always. We sat down and the waitress was very soft spoken, took our drink orders then returned to take our order. We ordered steamed pot stickers as an appetizer and then placed our order for 3 rolls. About 15 minutes later we received our potstickers then the waiting began. There were only 5 other families in the restaurant and we waited 45 minutes to receive our rolls; in that time the waitress only stopped by once to check on us. Once we got our rolls we instantly regretted not going to Publix! The seaweed in each of the rolls was chewy to almost a rubber, plastic consistency that I nearly choked on while trying to swallow it. We were starving by the time the food arrived so we ate around it. Once we finished, it took her albsolutely no time to bring to check and process the charge. I was incredibly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend Sake to anyone. The pot stickers weren’t bad but neither are the frozen ones I can get at the store. The sushi left much to be desired and the service was sub par. Next time I’m going to Publix.

Good place if you have a lot of time to wait for your food. Sushi is always good and made to order as expected, but tends to take 20 – 30 minutes after ordering for it to arrive at the table. Wait staff is very friendly and personable, but kitchen is poorly under staffed. We keep coming back for the food and proximity to home. …but must be suckers for punishment with the wait. Being that we just waited 45 minutes for food I’m dropping this to 1 star.

I love this place, I come at least a few times a month! I feel like sometimes the service is a little slow but I really love the food so it makes up for it in my eyes. My favorite is the spicy tuna lovers roll! My favorite place to get sushi, for sure!

I guess I’m bias because 1. I’m from Oregon where there’s a lot of Asians so the Asian food is usually very tasty and 2. I work right next door so this is our go-to lunch place. But… I really enjoy this restaurant! It’s got a calming ambiance, the waitresses are awesome(the Russian girl is the best, I’m so sorry I don’t know your name!!!), everyone is super friendly, and the food is good! On especially tough days at work we like to come here and I order the 2 roll lunch special which includes a side salad or miso soup but i always choose the soup because it is so tasty(with tip comes to about $ 14). I really like the Philly roll(salmon & cream cheese!) but ever since I tried the chicken tempura I can’t stay away. They do a good job here and I’ll keep coming.

Had great hopes of finding a good sushi place and this place flopped. Walked in loved the décor and looked very clean. Have never seen so many rolls with asparagus, for those who like I guess this is your place for me, why? I ordered a couple of rolls. I asked for ponzu sauce. I was up charged for it and it was awful, not ponzu sauce at allllllll! Did I mention that I was the only person in the place and guy making my sushi kept looking at me like he was waiting for me to leave(2pm during the week). Come on guys show your customers the best service especially if it’s your only one. I wish the food and service was as good as location and décor.

Well first of all the place was empty at 4:30 on a Friday. No one noticed I walked in the for at least 2 minutes. I stood awkwardly at the door wondering if I should seat myself. I got an Avocado roll and a sweet potato roll off the vegetarian menu then decided on sautéed vegetables after asking the waitress what veggies were in the dish. Once the food came out the sautéed vegetables were not even close to what was described to me. The sweet potato tempera was pretty good, the avocado roll was kind of mushy. I Asked for some spicy mayo… charged .50. I never got a drink refill, had an empty glass for most of the 25 mins I was there. The food did come out pretty quick. I would not return or recommend. 2 stars because I liked the sweet potato roll.

This restaurant is quiet, it’s meant to come off as tranquil but in reality it makes it too easy to ease drop on other diners conversations. The other diners seem as though they are yelling because there is no other noise to distract. Our waitress was very attentive but she was actually whispering when she spoke to us. I honestly could not hear her and asked her to repeat herself numerous times. I ordered a blue moon which came with an orange slice so big it couldn’t be placed in the glass. I also ordered the harmony roll and the paradise roll. Be prepared to wait, even with only three other tables filled, we waited close to thirty minutes for our food. The sushi is standard, there is honestly nothing horrible but nothing fantastic either. My paradise roll advertised that it would come with mango and coconut flakes but were missing both. Not to mention basically all the rolls on the menu have the same three ingredients. There is not much variety and for the price being paid for mediocre sushi, I wouldn’t recommend dinner here.

Wasn’t entirely in love with Sake. I’ve been here a few times with my wife, but I’m never 100% in love. The price for the Chef’s Choice sashimi/nigiri combo doesn’t feel justified since presentation and selection is sub par from other sushi locations. Their rolls are decent and provide a fresh feeling, but those are also on the expensive side. Standard service provided. No issues or praises there. Atmosphere is calm, but TVs are only right behind the bar. I wouldn’t recommend a football Sunday lunch here. I enjoy Sake for its convenience and location when I’m at Posner Park.

Decided to try out this restaurant because of a groupon we had. I ordered the lunch special and added a soup on to it. I had two orders of spicy tuna rolls, miso soup and ginger salad. The salad was watery, literally a pool of water in the bottom of the bowl. The tuna was pretty flavorless, just incredibly spicy. The server was ok but we were the only table in there. There was another chef getting dressed into his uniform while watching tv at the sushi bar and another chef doing push ups in the same area. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

When I showed up at 6:00pm, I was the only person. So I found it funny when I asked for a few extra minutes to look over the menu the server disappeared for about 10 minutes. Give that this place is pricey and on the up scale side you would think the service would be better. I would suggest the spent some time. Time cleaning the restrooms. Air freshener is not enough in this place to cover the smell from the lack of cleaning. Oh, on the slow service. I guess I just got the wrong server. The other one is really taking care of her tables. The sushi was ok, but not worth the price. The rice seemed a little on the old side. Given the rice, service and price, two star is as good as I am willing to give. May try them again down the road and will mod the ranking if appropriate.

This place is so horrible ! The sushi sucked and for the price you get like 4 pieces in a roll !!! Our server was clueless and it took about an hour to get the food. My husband got a steak that was super over cooked and for the price it was ridiculous !!! One of the servers was complaining and then quit right there in front of us ! This is not a professional establishment and the food was something out of a box… Not impressed I will never return here, save your money people ! Ps — I only gave it one star bc I had too!

Food tastes good, but small portions for price. Not up to my standards, on vacation from Austin Texas. Service was horrible! So slow, not very busy but took forever for server to come to table. She never refilled my water glass once.

This was our 2nd time in and everything was delicious. Our server Charlene was very attentive and on point, very helpful. We ordered the Mexican Roll, which is the best, Javicruz, a spicy tuna, and Davenport Roll… all three rolls I recommend, they were all good. For starters we had the edamame, we love it to start off!

The food is very good, that is the saving grace for this place. Not once, but twice we have eaten there and had poor service. Once was for lunch, not a big deal except we were trying to get to a movie and it took way too long for a quick lunch. Second time was the most disappointing. I took my in laws for sushi before the out movie on a Saturday night. It was not busy at all… The sake was cold. 3TIMESIN A ROW! The server who was not refilling out water also was not realizing we would have ordered more sake if she came around to check on us. If you don’t mind bad service, the food is great.

Oh the Groupon adventures. Though it is a little out in the middle of no where Davenport we thought we would give this deal a try. It didn’t have the wide selection of sushi we are use to and the restaurant was empty besides us so we were a little apprehensive. Yet our wait staff was very helpful and patient while we ordered. It was an early lunch so we ordered two rolls between us — and that was all our groupon would cover. We ordered a mango and Mexican roll. Though the Mexican wasn’t as spicy as we like the mango was delicious. Even had almond slices on top. We still had to pay a little extra beyond our groupon so I would say they are a little over priced. Yet if live in the davenport area it is the only sushi place we say for miles so I would give it a go or a roll :)
