D’Oro Palazzo

First time to review D’oro Palazzo. Started out with Bruschetta which was delicious. The bread needed a bit more oil but I would order this again. Next came Chicken piccata, my favorite, which came with potato, quite odd since it is an Italian Restaurant, and I asked for a substitution of pasta instead. I received an entirely overcooked grilled chicken breast split with overcooked mushy pasta smothered in a very thick lemon sauce. I was told if the chef made a new one it would end in the same result – I nicely sent it back and ordered a Margarita tomato mozzarella flatbread. I received a tomato mozzarella on a warm tortilla without a touch of seasoning. The Chef came to the front of house, to visit his family/​friends and verbally told the waitress that he wasn’t going to serve me anything else. He charged me for the flatbread I didn’t even eat. I left him a message saying how sorry I was that his review will not be one he will be proud of. He has/​had no idea who he was serving. Advice: Reconstruct the menu, too many items. Chicken piccata is a delicate dish, revise it. The Chef needs to get his passion back and needs an attitude check or the restaurant will not survive.

Great Italian restaurant to eat. Their foods were amazing. The services were helpful and place was very clean. Price was affordable as well. I highly recommend!!!

The freshest chicken Parmesan sandwich I have ever had. Great atmosphere. Will eat here again. A refreshing change from the chain restaurant.

Our second visit here and we are blown away again by the food. We enjoyed lunch, I had a chicken Parmesan sandwich that was absolutely fantastic, thick piece of chicken perfectly crispy and their Mariners sauce is perfectly Italian. My husband ordered a small pizza and there are not enough words to express how amazing it was! If you’ve had Via Nappoli pizza at Disney’s Epcot, the pizza here is is equal to and if not better! Our new favorite place!

Stopped by for a quick lunch after a movie. The service was friendly and quick. We are from western New York where there are many great Italian Restaurants and the food here was just as good. We will be back for dinner.

Food uninspiring. No sparkling water. Wait staff slow with no smiles to greet you. French fries tasted like frozen packaged fries from grocery store. Some of the food was cold when it should have been hot. No olive oil or Parmesan on the tables. Not like any other Italian we’ve eaten at. Two stars only because we were hungry and it was in a convenient location and we suffered no ill effects from the food!

Great service and great to have some real food that doesn’t come in a bread roll or deep fried! The Shrimp D, Oro was really tasty and the Tiramisu was just yum! Both the staff and other customers were very understanding and patient with our autistic son. We will definitely be coming back before our holiday is over.

Food was amazing and the wait staff was very nice, I’m only docking a star because there was mold inside and on the bottom of the cup. If you done in, ask for a to go cup or check your cup before you drink! The spinach and artichoke dip was amazing! The pasta was amazing! And my friends had the steak and said it was amazing as well!

Back for another delicious lunch. Meatballs are great and we got a lasagna to go for dinner. Homemade food and reasonable prices make a winning combo.

Horrible food and service. Soup tasted like it was out of a can, meatballs were definitely frozen. My dining partner asked for no cheese on everything ordered, and everything was covered in it, and they would not fix the items nor take them off the bill. Will never set foot anywhere near this place again.

Nothing special. Not worth the price. Plain white bread used for bruschetta. Smaller portions.

Great food! Just plan on spending at least 2 hours of your evening at the restaurant. Also the restaurant does not handle crowds well. FINALLY I HATE WHEN THE TIP IS AUTOMATICALLY ADDED TO THE BILL. I would of tipped 15% to 20%, anyways but I hate having a 20% tip mandated to me.

This family/​chef owned restaurant delivers on fresh Italian food with layers of bold flavors. The service was stellar. Delish!

Wow. Just about 2 hours for delivery. And everything looked stale. We’re on vacation and looked up a pizza place on Unilocal that was close to where we are staying with 4 or more stars. I can’t believe this place has 4 stars. Maybe it’s better to eat there. But I suggest people not order delivery.

Four stars only because we had it delivered to the hotel and it was cooled off by then. However all the food was delicious!
We ordered a side salad with a creamy parm dressing that was very nice. They sent a caprici salad because I had originally wanted one but they ran out of basil leaves, it was still right on the money. My bf had the minestrone and gave it a thumbs up.
We shared a chicken park which is the best I’ve ever tasted, cooked just right. Cheesy bread and a side of meat balls were all aces. I wish we had this restaurant in south Florida, it seems to be a different type of Italian style.

Excellent Italian food. «The best eggplant parm» from my wife who makes a great eggplant parm. I had the shrimp scampi and again, the best. Definitely a restaurant to enjoy a well prepared Italian meal. And pleasant ‘rat pack” music.

I wasn’t overly impressed by the strip-​mall décor, but I had high hopes for the food, based on previous Unilocal reviews. Unfortunately we were disappointed.
Our appetizers were soggy and looked like they had been thrown together by a toddler.
Dinner was bland at best. I had veal Marsala, the veal tasted like it had recently been thawed out after a very long stint in the freezer. The Marsala sauce did not seem to actually include any Marsala wine that I could discern.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you are from New York and you recently moved to Florida, very quickly you realize you will never again have a decent bagel, pizza or Italian food here!
Fear not, the Tasty Ladies of NY have done it again and found the impossible! Great, freshly made authentic Italian food!

Greg and his staff make you feel welcome as soon as you enter this cozy restaurant with booths and tables, decorated simply with art of Italy on the walls and black linen napkins so ladies like me who wear black clothes do not get white lint all over us, not a TV in site (thank goodness) and appropriate music playing.
We have been to this restaurant over 10 times over the past three years they have been opened and have had consistently great service and more importantly great food!
We had as our waitress this past visit Andrea who is warm, friendly with a almost musical southern drawl that knows the menu inside and out and can recommend the perfect wine to compliment each dish!
From their appetizers such as Mushroom Brushetta with the best portobello and Crimini mushrooms to their pasta dishes like Shrimp D’Oro with beautifully sautéed shrimp, mushrooms, spinach tossed with a fresh garlic and lemon butter sauce atop Rotini pasta to their traditional entrees of Lasagna, Veal Marsala to our favorite Chicken Parmesan with perfectly crunchy chicken outside and tender inside with a sauce that is comparable to the best restaurant on Arthur Avenue, you will be singing Volare in the streets of Florida!
The desserts are also incredible! Zeppolis, Cannolis, Tiramisu to name a few are all made fresh and are delectable!
So if you are a native New Yorker transplanted here or just on vacation and yearn for a real Pisano feast, go to D’Oro Palazo and tell them the Tasty Ladies of Ny sent you in!

Stopped in for lunch while driving home from a cruise. Small Italian eatery. The service was good. Grandson ordered a lemonade that wasn’t good. Hubby tasted and said it tasted old but waitress took it back without any problems.
I ordered a ceasar salad that easily fed 3 of us and a small personal pizza with spinach and artichoke. Portion size was good in that I got to take home leftovers. Tasty food.
Grandson got chicken parm sand which. Said the chicken was a bit dry so he got some extra marinara to dip. Hubs got the Italian Sammy and said it was very good.
Under $ 30 for three of us and I’m a happy camper.

The ambiance left little to be desired, but we decided to eat here anyway. I was quite surprised at how good my sandwich was, but my grandson didn’t really care for his chicken parm sandwish. It was mid-​day, so not many customers and it seemed that the server didn’t really want to be there, but was helpful and pleasant.
I would get take out from this place, but doubt that I would eat here again in the future.
