If you live on frozen food you are in luck with great prices. Otherwise you will pay more for everything, and hear some mouthy trash working here. This place is ran by morons. Remember the big deal about Wal Mart not having female managers? Well now you can experience the incompetence here. Oh, and they have stupid little beta males who are a «manager» that walk around with a clipboard and argue with you like a dickhead. If you can’t stand ignorant, mouthy trash do not shop here. This place sucks ass. I still go there, but will punch out the wimps or the females that act like men who give me lip and attitude.

Pretty spacious! We went here to get a birthday cake and cheesecake! Needless to say they didn’t disappoint with the cheesecake! Check out was nothing special… Price was affordable!

Great store, but I would like to go in and not be stopped by a satellite provider every time.

Sam’s Club is the place for groceries, electronics, clothing and more! Sam’s has the variety of Walmart with deep discounts for buying in bulk.

Generally speaking, I find that Sam’s Club is an ok experience, and it’s a good way to buy things in bulk. However, the one here in Davenport has no competition, and honestly I think they have higher prices than they should. Going to Walmart will cost you about the same as going to Sam’s Club, and there’s really no benefit to going to a warehouse with the same prices. The location, being on Elmore, is less than desirable. To be fair though, I hate all of Elmore for location and traffic. The parking lot is always somewhat confused and overcrowded. Inside, it’s not as crowded, but the parking lot alone really makes coming here something I avoid. If there were a Costco in town, I think it would be preferable, so that they would be forced to compete. The Costco in Iowa City is larger, better arranged, has a larger selection, and the prices are better. There is a wine I like that I can buy at Hyvee for $ 1 cheaper than at Sam’s… not like that’s a large amount, but Sam’s is supposed to be cheaper, not more expensive, especially if I’m comparing it to Hyvee, which has very non-competitve prices(pretty much for the same reasons– not enough competition). I can get that same wine at Costco for about $ 4 less. Really, everything about Costco makes the drive almost worth it… I don’t like driving that far, but the prices, selection, layout, and parking are all infinitely better. My mom pays for our membership– it’s an extra card that costs her nothing to have. If she weren’t supplying the card, I’d not renew my membership. It’d be no less of a cost to me(financially or emotionally) to fight the crowds at Walmart… and I might have a better selection at Walmart than at Sam’s anyway…

They have the worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced. We had a membership for the last 18 months and finally gave up. Here are some examples: When asking for water cups at the deli for our kids. «Corporate says we can’t give out water cups anymore.» When asking for our items to be boxed. «They are boxes down there(50 feet away) and you can do it yourself.» I got yelled at by a sample guy for grabbing a sample from the side rather than the front. Ironically there was a Sam’s Club employee standing in front of the booth loudly complaining about management. Over this past 18 months we have on occasion asked to speak to the manager. We’ve always waited for 20 minutes or so and then left. Here’s our solution. We will drive 60 miles to Iowa City and go to Costco where the customer is valued.

Nice location and they are starting to carry healthier choices in the food department.
